This thread is for those that LOVE beauty products... so much so they hoard them, and covet them and behold the beauty that they contain 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Empty no. 14 🚮

Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water (30 ml) which I received as a GWP in November 2019.

Very gentle, non-irritating micellar water with a delicate synthetic fragrance. It didn’t sting my eyes but struggled to remove mascara and gel eyeliner, so I used it only to remove base makeup.

A total number of products left in the face makeup remover category: 2 deluxe samples and 1 full-size product.

A mini Balance Me Vitamin C serum. Nice smell but didn't do anything for me

Caggie09 · 28/02/2020 10:38

Had a count up of my shower gels the other day, 40+😨🤢 Found a Snowfairy that was made in 2018, and expired early this month. Popped it in my bath to avoid chucking away.

Marshmallow Blends Bubblegum body butter, very thick but very sickly smelling. Dont think id repurchase again, i have a parma violent scented one, smells weird now. But ill try it anyway🙈

Pantene Micellar cleanse and Nourish Conditioner. The shampoo is soon to follow, conditioner im fine with. The shampoo claims its for greasy hair, when i use this my hair looks awful a day after washing. Maybe i dont get along with Pantene, i think i have 4 more shampoos from them, so will try them and if my hair disagrees with them too, the brands a write off for me! Moving onto OGX once the last drop is used up.

Experiment627 · 28/02/2020 16:23

Sorry @LivingDeadGirlUK no luck so far here but I will be sure to let you know if I find anything that really works.

@ememem84 dry shampoo always seems to make my oil slick worse

Ok for the old gang here's my first eye makeup look since I came back. A grey/green/peach combo.
I am loving this one (hence the posting)

I've finished a mini Body shop green tea shower gel which was lovely. Wont repurchase due to my bodyshop ban but it was lovely.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 29/02/2020 20:20

Nip+Fab cleanser gone . Actually one I bought for my son but it was sitting upside down in a tumbler with a couple of centimetres left in it , so I finished it this week.

Not really for my skin but I might try something else from the range .

Another BodyShop Ginger shampoo gone (DS and DH use this regularly . I do if my scalp is being arsey but only if I use the Ginger conditioner too)

JayDot500 · 29/02/2020 21:55

My Maybelline concealer stick has finished. I have a 3 month old and a preschooler, concealer is my life right now. So I feel this doesn't count 😆

I'm trying to make my way through a massive Baylis and Harding Fuzzy Duck shower gel (black pepper and sage). I won it in a raffle, yet I could have done without it. I get no joy using it, and I love shower gels. Halfway through, I'll shoulder on. Maybe I'll also use it as a handwash since we now have to increase handwashing.

winterisstillcoming · 29/02/2020 23:15

Finished an Aldi bubble bath today. It was shit. Got a few tubs of bath salts to get through.

One thing I've learnt from this is that I'm a sucker for a 3for2.

Well done on the empties all!

ememem84 · 01/03/2020 07:04

Boots pink bubble bath gone.

Caggie09 · 01/03/2020 08:42

Sol de Janeiro shower cream gel. Lovecthis stuff, but pricey though for me to repurchase as it is just a shower gel. Skin was silky soft even before moisturising!

Garnier Aftersum shert mask, used this as i over used ny retinol and it soothed it.

Experiment627 · 01/03/2020 10:03

@cravingthelook simply GORGEOUS!!! Thanks for sharing!

@70isaLimitNotaTarget do you think the Ginger shampoo would help oily hair?

Empties:

  • Kingfisher Fennel fluoride free toothpaste: this is HG for me but for Kwicklet will switch to the one with fluoride
  • M&S Formula ultimate sleep cream: small tube from advent - this is HG for me
-Sanctuary wet skin moisture miracle: not really a fan - don't like smell, much prefer Nivea one

Also this combo which has done nothing for my hair - still loads left - gonna give to my SIL:

  • OGX purifying charcoal detox shampoo and conditioner

Experiment the shampoo on it's own leaves my hair like Brillo Pad but used with the conditioner it is lovely .

I have psoriasis and under stress my scalp does react (badly) , painful bleeding areas (I'm a catch , yeah Wink )

The BS Ginger calms it right down (and I go back to my Aveda)

RiskIt4Biscuit · 01/03/2020 10:32

Finished a sample size of the Sarah Chapman Skinesis overnight facial. It was a 5 ml bottle, but lasted ages.
It’s an oil, and it smells lovely. It worked well with my oily skin. I would buy it full size if it was cheaper, but I am not willing to pay £50 for a 15ml bottle of this.

Also binned some products that either have expired or that I simply will not use:
Kopari tinted lip balms in hibiskiss and pinkini. Nice shades, but they get really gloopy and stringy on the lips which I just can’t handle. They may have expired as the scent bothered me more than it used to.

Benefit badgal bang! mascara sample size. I hated this - it looked ridiculous on me (it was too much, in a really bad way - my lashes all stuck together) and it smudged after 20 minutes. Simply cannot wear this.

Fresh sugar lip wonder drops. I don’t know what this is supposed to do, but it did nothing other than ball up whenever I put a product on top. It didn’t exfoliate the lips, didn’t moisturise, didn’t work with anything on top. Pointless product IMO.

Catrice prime and fine primer. I bought this years ago and just don’t use primers, so no point in keeping it any longer.
I think it was okay, but I find primers don’t really do much and that they are just an extra unnecessary layer of product on the skin.

Mac strobe cream samples. I like Mac strobe cream, but as I have oily skin, wearing a dewy product all over my face can quickly look too oily rather than fresh and dewy. I just didn’t reach for these samples other than a few times, and I don’t even remember the last time I bought something from Mac so they’ve got to go.

Moogoo mudder udder balm sample. Got this in an antenatal class. Opened it at some point, then haven’t used it and my son is 13 months old now, so it is probably too old. And I probably won’t be using it anyway.

Garancia diabolique tomate water cream sample. Used this in hospital when I had my son. Don’t like the smell (tomato), it doesn’t do anything for my skin and it is probably expired.

Small blue bottle with a dropper from a John Lewis advent calendar. Frankincense something? Used it once ages ago. Not sure what it is and it has probably expired.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 01/03/2020 12:40

Also finished a clinique pep start cleanser and exfoliator. I don't like scrubby cleansers, so looking forward to using Cetaphil again.

And a sure maximum protection deodorant. This works!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 01/03/2020 13:10

I've thrown away a dry collection lengthening mascara and a mini sample unbranded that have gone dry. Also 2 boots lipglosses in colours I will never where from a cheap giftset.

I'm still hoarding so much lippy and eyeshadow but now only have 2 mascaras left in the stash.

Costacoffeeplease · 01/03/2020 13:42

Two finished today, a Liz Earle bergamot and basil hand lotion, fine but nothing special

Dr Botanicals hemp moisturiser, alarming colour but light and soaked in well.

IPokeBadgers · 01/03/2020 20:24

Have finished an Elemis PCMC night cream. Liked it, came as part of a QVC TSV - not inclined to buy it if priced at full whack.

Also started a new foundation from the stash...it's the Max Factor skin Luminiser one that I bought donkeys ago. Bit disappointed, it's very thick and tricky on my skin. Have worked out that if I use a teeny amount on a particular brush it does give a nice finish....but it makes my face itch. Going to try it once more, but if still very itchy I might need to bin it. Which I hate doing, so wasteful.

ememem84 · 02/03/2020 22:06

Footner socks used. Now just waiting for my feet to fall off.

WellTidy · 03/03/2020 09:10

I haven’t had an empty for ages. It goes like that, doesn’t it. But have just finished a 50ml pot of Estée Lauder Day Wear moisturiser for dry skin, which I have used pretty much consistently for 20+ years and is my HG. I will replace, but I need to get through all the Elemis ones in my stash as I had the Elemis advent calendar in 2019 (which was excellent, by the way). Who knows, maybe an Elemis one will replace the Estée?!

Caggie09 · 03/03/2020 09:31

Body shop 50ml coconut body scrub. Got two uses out of this, its not scrubby enough for me. Scents lovely though.

Chucking a NO7 lash serum, only lasts 6 months and its been open a long time. Not risking putting near my eyes. Cant say if it made a difference to lash growth. Waste of money really.

Costacoffeeplease · 03/03/2020 10:37

Full size Gatineau floracil eye make up remover finished, I like this it removes make up easily but doesn’t sting

M&S trial size eye and lip care from the advent calendar, I think it has helped the fine lines around my mouth

Espa sample eye cream, I liked this, left my skin nice and smooth, and again, helped the fine lines at my eyes

I’m throwing out a trial Clinique high impact mascara, it stings like mad and make my eyes water.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 03/03/2020 13:01

I've just finished the Pure moisturiser that came in the M&S calendar. Have a small Hemp one from Look Fantastic box from last year and I'm out. So need to get a new one. Think I'll get a Clarins hydroessential as that's quite good for my menopausal flushy skin.

CantChoose · 03/03/2020 16:56

Love it @cravingthelook

Costacoffeeplease · 06/03/2020 09:23

2 empties today, trial size Real Chemistry 3 minute peel from one of the calendars, my skin feels very clean and fresh after using it, and a pomegranate and cassis elasticizer, nice fragrance
