Ive lost another lipbalm, and its been a while and ive not found it so ill declare as an emptyHmm Dr Lipp nipple balm. I really liked this, i prefer it because its thick on my lips. Didnt use on my nipples, so cant comment on thatGrin Wont repurchase, but wouldnt say no to it if i come across it again!

Batiste Dry shampoo De Frizz. Awful.. Not a patch on the original ones. Didnt take the oiliness away, and i didnt feel fresh when using it. Think i have ankther 2 in my stash tooSad

RJnomore1 · 21/02/2020 20:29

So I have a wee update - although most are minis but I’m working on getting through things...

  1. Arran aromatics after the rain mini shower gel
2.same body lotion
  1. Same shampoo mini
  2. Another arran aromatics shampoo mini I can’t remember!
  3. Argan oil hair mask pot - will replace this
  4. Clinique moisture boost gel 30ml
  5. Nivea hand cream, blue tube, kept at work
  6. Coconut hair serum full size
  7. A one use face mask pink tube I’ve forgotten what I was!

So not a bad s start...I have soooo much left to get through though

WellTidy · 22/02/2020 07:27

An empty - Samctuary heel balm. I used it as a general foot cream. It was great, but I have another three full size foot creams in the stash so will have to plough through those first.

Costacoffeeplease · 22/02/2020 11:07

Full size liz Earle bergamot and basil body lotion, and travel sizes of espa replenishing face treatment and REN night cream all finished today

Jmommy · 22/02/2020 18:37

Following this thread for motivation to reduce my beauty product stash. I’m not going to list everything I have, but I have a messy pile of stuff in my bathroom. My aim for skin care products would be to own only:

  • 1 cleanser
  • 1 toner
  • 1 hydrating serum
  • 1 night (retinol) serum
  • 1-2 face creams
  • 1 eye cream
Seeing that listed like that it already looks like a lot of products, and now I have several of each category.

As for haircare, I estimate to own five shampoos. Obviously aim is to have just one. Not a big fan of shower gels, so one solid soap at the time should do it (currently several).

Also when it comes to makeup there’s room for reduction. Have three primers, for example. I honestly can’t remember why I have bought several of those too, even if not into them and rarely use them!

Ultimate aim is to have so few products that the bathroom would look nice and neat without always having to make effort to clear and store stuff somehow in an orderly manner.

WellTidy · 22/02/2020 19:59

JMommy Welcome. I’ve dipped in and out for a few years and this thread helps me remember to use what I have and try not to keep buying. I haven’t bought any new beauty things this year and I am hoping I won’t buy anything at all until the year is out. I have an enormous stash and there isn’t anything I will need this year. In truth, I probably have enough body moisturiser and soaps to keep me going until 2023.

Enjoy using what you have!

No empties from me - using up a 100ml face mask takes longer than I expected!

woodhill · 22/02/2020 20:01

Slowly and surely for me.

Have an empty nude cleanser and decleor moistureriser

Haven't bought much lately

Caggie09 · 23/02/2020 09:43

Miss Patisserie rose bath slab. I paired this with the Elemis Rose shower/bath milk and it was the one of the nicest baths ever! A nice subtle rose, and my bath was a nice purple. If i seen in the sale id probably repurchase the rose one!

The cult beauty goody bag went live, and i promised myself because i missed out at Christmas, id treat myself. £160 down, but ive topped up on Drunk Elephant B hydra, Dr Dennis Gross Vit C and been wanting to try the Glow Receipe retinol eye mask cream. I feel more inclined to buy GWP this year and get the products i want to use, rather than get advents, because i end up with 100's of minis.. Id rather get the fullsizes i want, and have the bonus of "free" extras.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 23/02/2020 12:02

Finishes a Sephora micellar water. It was a small 50ml bottle.
Micellar water is not for me. It doesn't remove makeup as well as other makeup remover products and I get annoyed and rub too much which means I end up losing a few eyelashes.

Also binding a few baby products that I haven't used for a long time and I don't want to use old products on him:
La Roche-Posay Lipikar AP+ stick. Didn't do much for me or baby.
Mustela cradle cap cream. Was great, worked very well, but I didn't like the smell. We have no need for the cream anymore so no point keeping it.

Costacoffeeplease · 23/02/2020 15:12

Small eyeko eyeliner finished this morning. I liked this, and would repurchase if I didn’t have a million eyeliners to use first

Costacoffeeplease · 24/02/2020 12:12

2 empties today a Judith Williams eye cream, which is good but I have another 12 to get through before I’ll need to repurchase Blush
A small perfume from one of the advent calendars Sueded Oud from clean reserve (never heard of them!)

Costacoffeeplease · 24/02/2020 12:25

Forgot one, trial size Laura mercier eye crayon an amethyst. Liked this it went on well and didn’t crease

winterisstillcoming · 24/02/2020 18:15

Hi all I've been lurking for a while and admiring you all!

We are having some work done at home so I've had a ruthless clear out of my beauty cupboard.
I've got a whole load of unused stuff on eBay and have discovered about 3 years of body lotions, face creams, hand creams, hair stuff lurking in the back of it. So I'm on a beauty ban. Although my giant sized olaplex arrived today. Blush

winterisstillcoming · 24/02/2020 18:20

Sorry posted too soon!

I'm looking forward to using up some old faves and I'm saving the travel stuff for a holidays and trips.

I'll only buy new if I've used/chucked the last of something.

I think the next empty for me will be my nip and fab foaming pads. Unfortunately I found another tub so it's going to be a while before I can repurchase the obagi that it got dumped for.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 24/02/2020 23:55

This Works Vit C exfoliating balm/mask. Won it from Beauty Bible. Broke out every time I used it so chucked it out.
And L'occitane verbena shower gel mini all done. Have a whole shelf of Molton Brown to get through before I need anymore.

Experiment627 · 25/02/2020 08:26

@WellTidy thanks for Egyptian review!

Welcome @Jmommy !!!!

Welcome @winterisstillcoming !!!

Great progress ladies!!!

I have a few empties:

  • 3 sachets of Naturaltech rebalancing shampoo: I used every other day - but whilst a really nice shampoo made no impact on oily roots on day 2
  • Green Pharmacy Ginseng shampoo for oily hair: meh
  • Strivectin anti wrinkle intensive eye cream: ok but probably quite expensive... search continues for HG eye cream
  • O'Keefes lip repair: ok - at least it did not taste foul

My goody bag arrived yesterday and ive got lots of extras to stash away now!🐿 Im going to sit down later and look at all my skincare products and write down a routine for them all, so im not over whelmed and opening stuff up!

Throwing away an Antipodes anti pollution light face serum. I knocked this on the floor and it spilt everywhere, i could use the rest in it, i just dont like it. More of an oil than a serum, tried it under makeup its fine, too much faff in the morning though. Looks greasy when im not wearing makeup. I didnt see much difference when using it. Glad its going!

Zelens Instant Renewal mask. I enjoyed using it, i feel these masks are abit of a con though! Ofcourse my skin is going to look renewed and glowy after using it, when there is a pearlesent finish in it.

Also just wanted to show everyone how cute this mini Tilbury lipstick isGrin

Found 3 more eye creams Blush

CherryMargo · 25/02/2020 16:08

Empty no. 13 🚮

A foil sachet of VENeffect Anti-Aging Eye Treatment (2 ml), which I received as a GWP in June 2019. It is a thick fragrance-free and cruelty-free cream, which tingles a bit when you apply it. You only need a tiny amount (otherwise it feels tacky and greasy), so 2 ml was enough for 12 applications! The brand’s website claims that you can ‘re-apply it as needed throughout the day (will not roll up with makeup)’, but I didn’t dare to try that.

TBH I had high hopes for this cream (great ingredients, good reviews), but it didn’t do anything spectacular to my eye area 🤔 If anyone here has used this cream for an extended period of time, please let me know what you think about it!

A total number of products left in the eye cream category: 1 deluxe sample and 3 full-size products.

Costacoffeeplease · 27/02/2020 10:22

System professional hair oil finished today. Liked this, made my hair very soft and bouncy, would repurchase

Espa overnight hydration therapy. This felt a bit like Vaseline, not sure if it had any effect

LivingDeadGirlUK · 27/02/2020 18:43

I've chucked away another Old Elizabeth Arden mascara that had gone dry, now using a soap and glory 'Thick and Fast' but its not great. Possibly the age but its not been opened before.

I should really have a proper clear out of my make up and chuck anything really old.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 27/02/2020 18:46

@Experiment627 any shampoos you would recommend for greasy hair? I've been trying to reduce how often I wash mine but its really fine so looks terrible even on day 2.

ememem84 · 27/02/2020 21:30

@LivingDeadGirlUK dry shampoo. Dry shampoo is your friend.

I can get away woth washing my hair once a week at the moment. Yay. But it took a while to get to that point.

Have finished a soap and glory hand cream which had gone a bit weird.

Also a bar soap.

CantChoose · 27/02/2020 21:59

Funny you say that @LivingDeadGirlUK I was using a brand new one of that mascara and was really impressed by it but had to throw it away as I had conjunctivitis. I opened one that had been in my stash a while and it was not great at all. So either they’ve changed the formula or it just doesn’t age well.

CantChoose · 27/02/2020 22:01

I’ve finished a Redken No blow Dry cream which I really like but I’ve bought something else to try for a change. Nothing in the stash Shock. I’ve got a mini mousse but nothing comes out when I push it so might just have to bin it.
Also finished an Estée Lauder eight hour lip balm. Possibly only the second lip balm I’ve ever finished. I’m pleased but also a bit sad as it’s one of my favourites. I will never get to repurchase as I have approximately 75 million lip balms to get through...
