I don't think i can get away with high tops. I havs short legs which are quite muscular but definitely chunky. My ankles are quite slim though but if you take them out then I have definite tree trunks!

Oh I love high tops, but am also afflicted with stumpy, thick calves! I bought some lovely pink suede MV trainers last year, but being only 5ft they look like flippers on me. Ideals of love to be able to pull off DMs - but think the same would apply- any suggestions on shoes for a stumpy person much appreciated!

these are the ones I coveted for quite a while then realised I do not need them ( unless they go onto brand alley for £30!)

So today I am miserable because it's raining and I've had a very tough week with DD ( who is much better I think).

It’s sunny here - although I think the forecast is for more rain this evening. I’m wearing a mixture of old and new today (I bought the culottes in the Black Friday sale as an outfit for my trip to Iceland). I’m not sure whether the outfit is better with the top tucked in or not - what do you think?

I think I like the top out! I'm in your line of work too (in house legal) but on mat leave at the moment. I'm enjoying the inspo for when I return though I'm taking the full year and then some. I'd love some boots to wear with cullottes like yours...But....no spend.

Today is a day of dog walking (in the rain 😥) and various jobs I've been meaning to do for ages. Going to order some new carpet for my front room, need to buy a new laundry basket (thrilling stuff!) and then meeting a friend for coffee this afternoon.
Today I'm wearing Hush jumper, Gap jeans and the Hush high tops.

I love those culottes oubliettebravo - so tempted to make a trip to Phase Eight...I must resist.

Mmm not feeling so great about my outfit now...the jumper is one I spotted Meghan Markle in last year in another colour & fell in love with - whilst obviously it looks great on her, I am not blessed with the same figure & probably should not have kept it! Ah well.

Well I tried out jumper over midi-dress again. I don’t like the look on myself, despite liking it on others. It widens me and I feel frumpy. So I’ll be saving the dresses for summer with sandals.

@KiteflyingKat I think the only problem is the jumper is too long. You either need a more cropped version or add a skinny belt to the dress, tuck the jumper in, then pull it through to make the jumper more cropped. There’s a tutorial online somewhere. Lovely dress though.
