I've managed to stay away from the online sales so far, but we're going to real shops to get new trainers for DD tomorrow so I don't think I'll be able to resist a bit of a mooch around the shops.

Black cord skinnies again today, with a sparkly Breton from Boden and warehouse cardigan. Plus purple new balance trainers when I go out.

@Softpebbles I really like the fat face boots, I think slouch boots are really easy to wear and flattering with lots of outfits.

Still £0 spent in the sales. I was tempted by a pair of boots, but they’re not quite on my permitted items list (neither flat, nor black).

I’m in the same jeans as yesterday. In the past I’d have thought nothing of this, but nowadays I feel like this is almost a crime against fashion . I’m considering whether or not to keep the jumper. I like the colour, but I’m not sure about the balloon sleeves - maybe a bit dated? (I think the jumper is from 2017).

@Splodgetastic I always wear a strappy top under a wrap dress. Absolutely love this style of dress as it seems to flatter pretty much everyone.

Family party today, going to wear new boots, black skinnies and that checked blouse I got from Tesco a short while ago. Will post pic shortly.

@OublietteBravo keep the jumper. I have revived a cardigan with just the right shape sleeves that I bought in 2008 and had in charity pile after looking at knitwear online! I like the boots you did not buy too.

I bought these boots in the end. Which are unarguably flat ankle boots in black and therefore firmly on my permitted items list. It’s been at least 20 years since I last possessed a pair of Docs.

Looks like I’m going to be breaking the rules already. I’ve finally booked in to get my second hole pierced on Monday so in 6 weeks I’ll be buying some lovely new earrings (got my eye on some lovely ones in Missoma). Still if I can manage 6 weeks no spend then that’s still good going

It's not January yet so I've got a couple of things in the sales. Today I bought a lovely brown tweed wool coat in FatFace (not online, in store only) made by a fabric company called Moon. It's scrumptious - will post pics tomorrow when light is better. I also got a pair of thick wool slipper socks in FF reduced to £12 and have ordered a cardigan from monsoon and a yoke jumper from Superdry both of which have yet to arrive.
And that's me now! Nothing else. I don't need anything and don't actually want anything. From tomorrow I'll start shopping my wardrobe until April!

@Softpebbles - I like the second pair of boots best. But I suspect I’d wear the flat pair more (I can’t drive in heels and don’t wear them much since badly spraining my ankle in July).

I’ve packaged both up to send back. The first pair I felt a little frumpy and my feet looked really wide! The second pair. Size 6 to small. Size 7 huge.

So that’s it. Will stick with my DM’s and various other boots that I have. In the sales all I have purchased is a brown cardigan from warehouse and a navy cardigan with stars on from next.

Cardigans are good for me at the moment due to horrendous flushes.

If you don’t love them, then sending them back is definitely the correct decision.

I am waiting for stuff to arrive today and tomorrow and will make a sensible decision when I've tried things on. I did succumb this morning to a pair of boots from Boden whose boots/shoes I've recently loved. I've been hankering after a brown pair of western style ankle boots which are a classic but I wanted good quality. If they are not 100% perfect they will go back. I've packed up almost all te Hush stuff to be returned tomorrow. I'm not spending a penny until beginning of April after this. We have to decorate DDs room and replace carpet with hard flooring to make her room easier to clean and push wheelchair and I had planned to do some cosmetic things in kitchen and now eldest DD has sprung her engagement to long term BF on us so we need to save for that!

I realistically need nothing. I can’t wait until the 2nd of the month to sort all of my bills and see how the land lies. Ordered DD a new wardrobe and a bookcase for in the lounge. We got paid early from work but it’s going to make January a loooonnngg month!

Looks like a nice albeit cold day outside today. We might be visiting DH’s best fiend to swap Christmas gifts or staying in. Both boys have been ill with colds but wondering if we could brave a walk out
