Or..how would YOU wear it in a funky way?

At the moment I've got as far as fishnet tights, but that's it.

Halloween 👻

Halloween?

It’s a bit gothic, don’t think it needs any funking up. Plain tights and ankle high boots would suit.

hiptobeasquare · 03/12/2019 21:14

Doc martins. :)

TartanMarbled · 03/12/2019 21:14

Oh God, it's awful. Please don't.

Moominfan · 03/12/2019 21:20

Dr martens

RubbishRubbishRubbish · 03/12/2019 21:25

You'll have to trust me that it's really nice in the flesh, and not Gothic.

Dr Martens would be great, but I haven't time to break a pair in.

Does it need funking up? There's already quite a lot going on

BanningTheWordNaice · 03/12/2019 21:28

Don’t wear fishnets with that.

greentomatos · 03/12/2019 21:30

It has a lot of texture already so I don't think adding more texture eg fishnets would work.

fantasmasgoria1 · 03/12/2019 21:36

Fishnets, chunky boots etc. I'm a goth and it really is barely goth!

endoflevelbaddy · 03/12/2019 21:37

Depending what for I'd probably go with block heel sandals and leather biker jacket with a chunky watch and statement earrings (probably gold / rose gold)

WeCameToDanceWithTheDead · 03/12/2019 21:38

I love it. In fact I love it so much I wore it as a wedding dress so there Grin.
I think it looks great with a lovely headband. It's too fussy around the neckline for much jewellery but a headband seems just right.

RobertSmithdoesmyhair · 03/12/2019 21:39

I love it! Where's it from?

RubbishRubbishRubbish · 03/12/2019 21:43

It's from Monsoon.

Not fishnets. Too much lace. I'd wear a simple pair of black or nude stilettos and put hair in a simple chignon.

Is it navy?
If it is I would wear it with navy sheer tights and my orangey red block heels.

RubbishRubbishRubbish · 03/12/2019 21:53

It's Teal.

Ellapaella · 03/12/2019 22:00

Are you wearing it for a night out/occasion or wanting to dress it down?
To dress down it would be nice with a biker jacket and chunky boots.
For a night out I'd wear with a high heel and accessorise with nice gold dangly earrings.

Jumbojem · 03/12/2019 22:03

I think it does have a fair bit going on already so keep would keep it simple. I second the earring suggestion as the neck detail will make a necklace difficult. Chunky boots would look good, or the knee high slouchy boots which seem be the thing to pair with midi dresses this winter. If it's a smarter do then yes, heeled sandals. Depends on the event and what you like/are comfortable in. It's a lovely colour.

screamer1 · 03/12/2019 22:12

Definitely don't funk it up with fishnets.

Everything else should be simple. Biker jacket good suggestion.

SleepyReindeer · 03/12/2019 22:12

I'm not sure you can funk that up TBH, the dress is a statement by itself so trying to make it funky would sit uneasily. Fishnets I definitely wouldn't do mainly because it will clash badly with the mesh top half.

If by funking up you actually mean dress down Smile then I'd probably I'd do knee high leather boots (not stretch!!!) with a block heel and a leather jacket, plus a studded or unusually embellished clutch (not tiny size) bag. Or thinner heel ankle boots (not block heel ankle boots, too clumpy) but something with a bit of detail on such as snake print toes or similar.

AnyFucker · 03/12/2019 22:14

No fishnets. That would be too much.
