Whatever happened to Mrs Gloss?

I used to love the Gloss FB site. However I’ve noticed in the last 18months + it has just become an affiliate site, much like the Instahuns. Any negative feedback regarding companies is very quickly shut down (particularly if it is regarding one of said affiliate links). I used to really enjoy it for its unbiased and informative advice. Now it’s advertisements and trout pouts. That said can anyone recommend another FB group like the Gloss of old before it sold out?

Try Sali Hughes - Get the Look. Or for more of a skincare angle try Caroline Hirons - Skincare Freaks. No massive trout pouts, extreme highlighting huns in either group

Where is the Mrs Gloss and the Goss page?

I can't find it anymore.

The only one that shows up is 'Mrs Gloss Daily Deals & Steals'

This is hilarious 😂 if you're wanting a nice beauty group I wouldn't recommend this new one unless you're partial to seeing a stranger's pubes. Honestly why are people so shocked at Mrs G for trying to make some money off of something that's been going for years now? As if you wouldn't do the same 😂 Enjoy your minge pics I'll be off in gloss not being scared for life 👋

I joined Mrs Gloss when it was at about 309 members! Someone posted about it on here that her friend had started the group. I was obsessed for about a year, literally looking on it all the time!

However when it got quite big I just felt it had lost the community feel and I got bored of it. I also joined the flouncers group 'The Beauty Collective' which was, and still is, a smaller group, but I'm even a bit bored of that now. I realised that the latest ABH palette really isn't going to change my life.

I also remember the transgender poster who always posted selfies with lots of fawning in the comments, who was then caught messaging teenage members of the group. In fact I think thats why The Beauty Collective was created, as some of the girls thought that Julia wasn't handling a few things (including that) in the right way, but I could be wrong on that.

I was always amazed that Julia could afford all that expensive stuff. I remember her posting her skincare regime and the Sisley lip balm she used cost 60 quid! It's funny the random things you remember.... Fair play to her though, if she has managed to make a success of the page.

Yep.

Actually, didn't they have to bring in a rule to limit the number of selfies you could post in a day, as some people were just posting non stop (heavily filtered) selfies!

I left Mrs G when the JM love started and the whole internal angst from her over identity and wearing makeup. I just wanted mascara recommendations and that plus the fawning over men in makeup was just irritating. Also joined the book group but left as it was getting bitchy (mods there were great to be fair)

Probably deleted as she left the group after sharing a lovely 'virgin whore' tattooed above her minge. It wasn't particularly pleasant
