Evening all. We're burning the 4160 candle Hiding in the Library...it's rather lovely. Cinnamon and incense, not too subtle but that's fine with me

SOTD has been CVC. Cosy and delicious on a day when I have felt cold to my bones and can't get warm...slightly scratchy throat, slightly stuffed-up nose...argh.

Good luck to them, they are such a lovely outfit. They have a unique role democratising access to artisanal perfumery, which seems to fit so well with their fantastically educational workshops, and with their prolific output. Have been happy to take a punt on 9mls in the spirit of low-risk adventure. 15mls becomes a more considered purchase - but I'm sure there are plenty of folks with deeper pockets. Am very interested in their US monthly subscription for makers. Hope they succeed - they deserve to.

Help, guys! I've messed up with my advent samples -- I thought I had until the 17th for my poor recipient's first day, but in fact it's the day after tomorrow and I haven't got my parcel in the post yet.

As well as grovelling to poor Boglins, I'm wondering if anyone who's doing a later day might be able to swap days with Boglins so I can get her stuff out to her a little bit later?

Keeping my fingers crossed that a more organised perfumista may be able to help me out of this hole!

(I forgot my SOTD until now as it's been a bit hectic, but I'm about to try PP Shalimaar which Boglins very generously sent me!!!)

So I'm waiting in for the postie to bring me a bottle of AdP Oud. I hate the brand, and I don't like paying so much for a scent. But I kept trying the tester as I went by Debenhams, and I want to wear it right now so much more than any scent I know. (I had some John Lewis vouchers to spend which is why the postie is bringing it) Fingers crossed for no buyers remorse - it's a lot to get through if I do! I'm also justifying it as I've been through my cupboard and passed on to friends a couple of frags I'm so over.

Thanks Stinky. I've also just ordered ALAIA Paris blind. So that's me for a bit - I'm going to be good until at least March, and don't need more temptation. I have 4 nice frags and a few bits and bobs, and I'm going to press pause for a few months.

How many scents do you guys all have? And do you find that they go off? (I haven't notice this, but they're kept in a cool, dark, dry cupboard.)
