It's a shame your boots didn't work out Tailsin - the Hush trainers are always so good for wide feet. I was surprised to find my battersea boots on the narrow side - I have to wear with trainers socks.

So.... new collection tomorrow? @neveradullmoment99 @Laska2Meryls what d'you reckon?

Well I've looked, is it new? Looks the same to me

Ellapaella · 05/02/2020 07:59

Nah looks the same old same old....

Nope, nothing new and the sale’s still there, just without the extra 10%. Maybe next Tuesday then? They usually launch new stuff on Tuesdays don’t they?

In other news, the Battersea boots finally reappeared in my size and I may have slipped and ordered them. Oops! Well, I was on a bus in actual Battersea when they appeared so it was obviously a sign...

dontcallmelen · 05/02/2020 09:35

Talisin 😂 be rude not too!
Count jacket looks lovely on you 👍

Ninkanink · 05/02/2020 09:45

Talisin you and I have similar thought processes! 😁

Fingers crossed that the boots are perfect! 🤞

Sooverthemill · 05/02/2020 09:54

the EXTRA10 works still, I just tried though not buying anything.,

Ninkanink · 05/02/2020 12:42

My little vintage cake stand has arrived and I love it! eBay is such a good resource for things like this...

Ooh Nink that’s really lovely👍 yy eBay I got some really pretty pink candlestick holders just before Christmas for ten pounds was well pleased.

Ellapaella · 05/02/2020 12:52

@Talisin it was meant to be!
@Ninkanink I love your cake stand - so cute
My dress has arrived - will try on after lunch

I'm glad I bought the pintuck leggings at the sample sale and not full price. I read on the reviews that there were stitching issues, I washed them inside out and the pintucks have come undone in two patches! Glad they were only £5. I will have to unpick the rest of the stitching in daylight.

Talisin · 05/02/2020 22:55

The new stuff has landed after all! www.hush-uk.com/new-in-1

Talisin · 05/02/2020 23:16

I really like the Gillian Trench, also the Belinda dress, Crista star pendant and Lucy stripe jumper. Will probably get the necklace when the next 10% code turns up.

Sooverthemill · 06/02/2020 07:39

Ooh new drop! I like the ecru straight jeans but what are they made of? In my basket waiting for a discount code. Like the knitwear: the lilac cashmere has gone straight to my present list! And the off the shoulder knit in stripes. I love the Vivienne shirt but it's not cotton or a natural fabric so that's a big no from me, in fact several of the shirts would go straight in my basket if they had been in a natural fabric, I know Boden / saltwater isn't to everyone's taste but they do score on natural fabrics.

Some nice shape dresses too. Oh well Hush if you read this. Please do natural fabrics.....

Countmeout · 06/02/2020 08:23

Thank you @dontcallmelen

A couple of things in the new drop caught my eye but then looking at the fabric put me off. Really liked the colour and style of the Vivienne shirt but would have liked some cotton to have been involved in it especially as it gets warmer.

Ellapaella · 06/02/2020 08:42

I notice they are doing a chunkier version of the Henley striped trainer that I got last summer and a trainer version of the silver high tops. There are a couple of blouses I really like (but not £70 each kind of love) and I will be buying a pair of boyfriend jeans this spring, tried a pair on in October and love them. Jeans can wait until weather is warmer though as I'd be wearing with trainers and sandals.

Yy some of the fabrics in the new drop are very disappointing, dresses lined with polyester! Not good considering the prices.
I like the silver pumps/trainers the kaci top, double v navy jumper & the pretty blue flower top.
Monsoon have some new stuff in cotton/sustainable fabrics going to have a proper look later

Ninkanink · 06/02/2020 09:39

Oh I’m hopeless. I’ve bought another scarf...but it’s one I’ve been coveting for months and months so I couldn’t resist. eBay purchase so I saved a fair bit on original price.

All Saints reversible scarf. This will really have to be it, though!

Ninkanink · 06/02/2020 10:36

Now I really need to get a pair of boots to go with the scarf as the biker boots I have will look a little too obvious I think...

Talisin · 06/02/2020 11:47

I am generally not a fan of leopard, but that scarf is gorgeous, @Ninkanink

Ninkanink · 06/02/2020 13:10

@Talisin thank you! It’s been on my wish list for ages!

There’s definitely a good way and a bad way to do leopard print; I like to think I keep it on the right side of the line. 👍

Talisin · 06/02/2020 13:56

Boots have arrived! They’re tight but the sort of tight that will stretch because they’re leather, not the oww, getthemoffnow sort of tight. Kind of scratchy with stitching round the sides of the heels though so will always need socks I think.

Ninkanink · 06/02/2020 14:03

Yay! And I can’t believe I’d forgotten about the battersea boots... Blush Blush they’re perfect to wear with the leopard print scarf!

Ellapaella · 06/02/2020 14:49

Boots and scarf will go perfectly Nink
I have sent the wrap dress back - I wasn't feeling the love. It's too big around the shoulders and I think it would be more flattering on someone with a bit more boobage.
If anyone is still after a pair of Battersea boots I sent the size 8's back to JL (kept the 7's) so you should be able to find them in the next couple of days.

Here is the dress

Yes, it’s all coming together nicely for the rest of winter! 😊 I do like to have a few new outerwear/accessories pieces every winter, it brightens up the dreary start of the year.
