In light of the several upcoming engagements for W&K while H&M allegedly take a 6 week break!

@TheOliphantintheRoom , and the Queen zooming around in her bedroom clutching her dressing gown with one hand and pulling her curlers with another, blaming porchy.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/11/2019 06:40

Charles and Camilla arrive in NZ.
I like the dress and really like those two tone shoes.

This is the last time I thought Sarah Ferguson was funny. riding her scooter suitcase at Beijing airport

She has trashed her rehabilitation by sticking up for Andrew.
I’m afraid Beatrice is just going to have to elope.
I suspect both princesses are in NY downing the 🍷

SunsetBoulevard3 · 17/11/2019 07:09

I’ve never found her funny. She’s like a child who never grew up. She actually comes across as not very bright. She loves her children and isn’t a bad person. Just has no judgement or discernment. That shows in her support of her ex now.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/11/2019 07:14

Some stunning photos of royal ladies in this Instagram account
I particularly like Meghan’s hair at that length.

@sunset - yes, my impression has always just being that she is very dim. Sweet, kind etc. But no smarts. Poor thing.

Charles and camilla look good. I hope they have a good tour. It must be exhausting at their ages. My mum really cut back on travel in her early 70s, even though she loved it, as physically it just got too hard.

Spudlet · 17/11/2019 08:55

Yes, Fergie seems very jolly, but really not very bright. No judgement at all.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/11/2019 09:15

I think Charles is fitter than he looks despite the ruddy complexion.
Camilla has been staying at a wellness resort in India for a week. Even so, it’s a long way from India to NZ.
I think the Queen stopped the really long trips in her mid 70s.
Will & Kate and Harry & Meghan will be ramping up the air miles in the next decade.

paradyning · 17/11/2019 09:19

Poor Camilla. I think she looks noticeable thinner in the face. Whatever illness she had must have knocked her.

DevonUkelele · 17/11/2019 09:20

C&C on arrival in NZ. Haere mai 🤗 🇳🇿 I assume this is Auckland, but it might be Wellington.

Always ridiculously pleased to have a senior royal at the farthest end of the old empire/globe.

No more gossip though 😉. Charles as dashing and well dressed as ever, Camilla looking rested. And yes, it is a long journey from India. And a long journey home again.

The ruddiness may partly be weather-damage from being outdoors a lot. I’m not sure sunscreen was thing for men, back in the day (not sure it is now either, based on the men I know). Lots of time hunting and shooting and playing polo can leave you a bit weather-beaten!

AppleKatie · 17/11/2019 09:21

They really are going to have to look for a socially acceptable way of them doing it but yes.

Camilla and Charles both look exhausted before it’s begun. I like her dress though, it’s pretty.

hopeishere · 17/11/2019 09:43

I agree Camilla looks a bit thinner in the face. Long haul at their ages can't be easy - and I know they'll have the best seats etc etc but it's still knackering.

WineOrGinOrBoth · 17/11/2019 10:21

If Camilla has had this horrid virus which has currently got me floored I feel for her. I can’t even get out of bed.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/11/2019 10:34

That Royal Airforce plane is not comfy.
It’s the same one William and Kate took to Pakistan.
No flat beds. Just a 12 hour flight albeit in business class type seats.
That’s long enough to lose the will to live.

AdaColeman · 17/11/2019 12:15

For anyone with a Kindle, Craig Brown's award winning biography of Margaret, "Ma'am Darling" is a snip at 99 pence today.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/11/2019 13:02

Ooh thanks for that @AdaColeman.
Will order now

JaimeBronde · 17/11/2019 13:07

Ooh thanks too Ada
Will order it too.

bohemia14 · 17/11/2019 14:24

I know lots of people in their early 70s who travel long haul. And most of them don't do business class. Charles and Camilla don't have to lug their suitcases or queue at check in and security. Yes, it's tiring for them but not as tiring as for most ordinary travellers.

I like Camilla's outfit and Charles is always well dressed.

justasking111 · 17/11/2019 14:24

Camilla is a game old girl. I would baulk at that sort of a trip after the virus she has suffered.

AppleKatie · 17/11/2019 14:40

The crowns on Netflix!

But I have to go out 🤦‍♀️😢

Bloody kids spoiling my fun 😂

mathanxiety · 17/11/2019 14:43

Camilla looks fab. I love her shoes too.

SenecaFalls · 17/11/2019 14:46

I know lots of people in their early 70s who travel long haul. And most of them don't do business class.

I am chuckling a bit at all the "at their age" comments. I'm sure that some of you may not remember that in other threads I mentioned that I met Charles years ago when we were both university students. He and I are about the same age.

And like Charles, I am still working and still traveling, long-haul as well as short, as are many other of my friends the same age. Not quite ready for the retirement home yet. Smile

mathanxiety · 17/11/2019 14:48
  • Her coat and dress are fab - agree she looks drained.
SenecaFalls · 17/11/2019 14:48

Camilla's shoes are indeed great. My guess is Chanel. I covet them. They are especially appropriate for us women of a certain age. Smile
