Genuinely asking for a friend - are these, erm 'on trend'? Or just a bit too short....?

Is it a jegging? The length depends on the style. They're possibly not the best fit.

SpiderCharlotte · 10/11/2019 18:28

Have you a better picture? It's hard to tell.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 10/11/2019 18:30

I think they’re too long - should be rolled up slightly to show off the ankle.

glitterelf · 10/11/2019 18:35

Different footwear would be better.

XingMing · 10/11/2019 18:36

Too short... I would not empty the bin in those.

georgialondon · 10/11/2019 18:41

@multivac i think older ppl will say they are too short but younger ppl will say they are fine or maybe roll them up a little bit.

GoodGriefSunshine · 10/11/2019 18:44

Narrow legs = shorter, wider leg = longer. If you wear narrow legs long, they just bunch up and look super dated. Slightly too short wider legs are actually in at the moment just to confuse things.

Timetobegood · 10/11/2019 18:45

They look normal to me.

AuntieStella · 10/11/2019 18:48

Not convinced about that. Too drafty for A/W. They might try to persuade us in spring, but lol too often it just looks ill--fitting

EdWinchester · 10/11/2019 18:48

They look too long.

GVmama · 10/11/2019 18:57

Too long for me too. I would roll them up to have a slight gap, showing either bare ankle or a chunky sock between the two.

mumdom · 10/11/2019 19:03

Owner of teenage nieces here. You need to show an inch of skin between the top of the shoes or boots and the bottom of the jeans.

Ideally the bottom of your jeans should be cut to that length and frayed. To be totally “current” the jeans should be two inches wider than the leg at this length, and fasten above the belly button.

multivac · 10/11/2019 19:04

Don't their ankles get terribly cold?!

OP posts:
mumdom · 10/11/2019 19:06

Yes. Absolutely freezing all the time, poor daft things.

multivac · 10/11/2019 19:06

Friend says they are "normal jeans construction at the top".

GVmama · 10/11/2019 19:07

These are the two different ways I’d wear them, I’m not saying I’m stylish or right though!!

circleorsquare · 10/11/2019 19:07

This is the problem now, who wants cold ankles??? I hate fashions that don't suit the weather 😂

circleorsquare · 10/11/2019 19:07

@GVmama I could go those sock ones!!

PassingIntoTheWest · 10/11/2019 19:12

Ooh, / buys fluffy new socks

KateFoster · 10/11/2019 19:14

I'd roll up

Worrier167 · 10/11/2019 19:39

Yes, I'd say they're slightly too long and should be rolled up. My mum wouldn't agree though so I do think that this may be a generational thing!

Ellapaella · 10/11/2019 19:41

I would wear like @GVmama has posted.
You need to either flash a bit of bare ankle or add some chunky socks. Either way ditch the black socks.

amiapropermum · 10/11/2019 19:43

Too long to my eyes

braw · 10/11/2019 19:46

Too long I think. Lots of women seem to be wearing skinny jeans 7/8 length with bare ankles and trainers. I am one of them. And yes I am cold.

NerdyBird · 11/11/2019 09:34

my ankles are too chunky for any of that business! Won't someone think of us cankle owners!??
