Genuinely asking for a friend - are these, erm 'on trend'? Or just a bit too short....?

I get around this by wearing higher boots.

This kind of height. I then tuck in my skinny jeans as there's no loose material and you get a nice clean line. I like the proportion of chunky boots, slim cut legs, voluminous top half.

The great thing about this ankle grazer trend is that I have short legs, so things actually fit me properly, now.

I don't get all these young'uns walking around with converse, no socks and slightly too short jeans, bonus if they have ripped knees, when it's about 4 degrees outside. They're often wearing scarves, though. It's like that ridiculous advert where a woman is wearing shorts with a thick sweater and woolly socks.

Some people don't really feel the cold in their lower extremities. I know women who happily wear bare legs in skirts all through winter. Everyone in NY got one. So a sliver of skin at the ankle is not really an issue.

All DD's trousers are too short. She is happy. I am happy because I bought her one pair of full length trousers which she can wear when it is cold. Time will tell if the cold ever overrides fashion.

I don't really feel cold from having a small
flash of exposed skin at the ankle- I wear warm merino wool trainer socks and as long as my feet are warm I feel fine.
