Flat / low heel comfy (padded?) party shoes

MorelloKisses · 09/11/2019 16:53

I think every year we need a thread rounding up the best party flats/low heels.

I’m in the market for some this year, so hit me with your recommendations. So far I’ve found these. Any thoughts?
Bronze and strappy
Shoe Boots and black
These in black or bronze
These in bronze
And these

Looks like bronze is in!

Love the final pair of pink/purple ones!

Nononononono33 · 09/11/2019 18:31

My apologies - fig/English berry! 😂

NancyEspana · 09/11/2019 18:37

Watching with interest! I can't wear high heels. Even if I could walk in them without falling on my arse, I don't suit them as I'm tall, a bit fat and very top heavy!

Definitely would love to know what flats to wear in party season... I have some Mary Janes which I'm wondering might fit the bill, but not sure if I will look like a very large toddler Halloween Grin.

MrsMaiselsMuff · 09/11/2019 18:38

The last ones or the shoe boots. Never quite sure about shoe boots but they're a lovely shape and you'd probably get more wear out of them?

Don't like the block heels at all. Very 90s!

MorelloKisses · 09/11/2019 20:34

Very 90’s

The 90’s are back don’t yah know? Or at least I think they are.

Some here

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/11/2019 07:49

Sorry but the only ones I like are the burgundy block heels (dislike in bronze though). I hate kitten heels. And the bronze ones look like shoes my nana wore in 1978 to do ballroom dancing at Pontins. Sorry!

Exp1etiveDeLighted · 10/11/2019 08:01

I can't wear heels at all and have very wide feet so probably wouldn't fit any of these. I'm going for a dress I can wear with black opaques and patent lace-ups.

I like the two-tone Boden ones, strongly dislike the shoe boot (heel is a weird shape and unflattering height), also dislike the block heels.

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 10/11/2019 08:05

Last ones. Those shoe boots are a very unflattering cut somehow

Lollypop701 · 10/11/2019 08:20

The Clarke’s ones are awful... all of the boden ones are ok especially the last ones

Lucked · 10/11/2019 08:47

I must be alone in liking the first Clark’s ones although I would only wear them with trousers as I wouldn't go bear legged in dresses and sling backs with tights seems wrong.

I have been wearing ankle boots as they are so much more comfortable.

Monsoon navy boot don’t look if you dislike a kitten heal.

Lucked · 10/11/2019 08:48

heel

Exp1etiveDeLighted · 10/11/2019 08:51

Those Monsoon boots are way better than the Clarks ones. I'm not a huge fan of kitten heels, but they work better with boots than with slingback styles or courts IMO.

MorelloKisses · 10/11/2019 17:16

I was wondering about kitten heels, I remember them being very much the thing and then all of a sudden very much not!

Do try to be constructive as well as critical though. If you don’t like them, please post something prettier.

Also. For some reasons I’ve never been able to keep sling backs (without straps) or mules on. And these seem to dominate the party flats market.

jewelled
square toe
NOT a kitten heel

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/11/2019 17:36

Sorry, but I also think all three of the latest links are horrible. But I'm just some randomer on the internet, so feel free to ignore me!

MorelloKisses · 10/11/2019 18:31

Remus have you seen any that do please you?

I’m new to the need for flats (medical) and am trying not to dissolve into a puddle of ‘they’re just not as pretty as heels’

OP posts:
MorelloKisses · 10/11/2019 18:34

I don’t hate those Mint Velvet ones... but they are a bit higher

dressy-ish pumps

sparkly loafers

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/11/2019 19:51

Would you rather have flats, or a low heel?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/11/2019 19:53

Also, what do you hope to wear them with?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/11/2019 19:58

I like www.clarksoutlet.co.uk/p/261349674 but I suspect they will be universally unpopular! I like the 40s vibe to them.

I've just bought a pair like these in red and am trying to resist buying them in burgundy as well. They are so so comfy.
