Flat / low heel comfy (padded?) party shoes

MorelloKisses · 09/11/2019 16:53

I think every year we need a thread rounding up the best party flats/low heels.

I’m in the market for some this year, so hit me with your recommendations. So far I’ve found these. Any thoughts?
Bronze and strappy
Shoe Boots and black
These in black or bronze
These in bronze
And these

Looks like bronze is in!

They will certainly have been much more comfortable all night. Good for them. I guess you have to have a certain amount of height to get away with it at such an event.

High heels look ridiculous, they stop the wearer from walking properly, throw their posture out and make their feet look out of proportion with their legs. I wince every week watching Tess, Claud and the female judges teetering about on Strictly and they walk in them better than about 99% of wearers.

flat velvet ASOS

LizziesTwin · 11/11/2019 09:01

Miu Miu

BeatriceTheBeast · 11/11/2019 09:13

I love the Asos ones! I was eyeing those myself, but I already have some reasonably similar.

BellaEnd · 11/11/2019 09:29

How about these?

I’m planning to treat myself to a pair.

Exp1etiveDeLighted · 11/11/2019 09:29

I like the Miu Miu ones but £370!

LizziesTwin · 11/11/2019 09:31

Those are gorgeous. I have some velvet Mary Janes from Zara which were ringers for that year’s Miu Mius but only £29.99. I sprained my ankle two weeks after I bought them & they were such a life saver.

MorelloKisses · 11/11/2019 15:48

I’m really struggling to see my ideal shoes now, as every pair I look at is shouting TOO UNCOMFORTABLE!!!

@Ofitck I love so many of the shoes and boots on that site you posted! Do you know what the width fitting is like? I’ve never tried Spanish footwear, and I know Italian tends to come up narrow so I wondered if it would be the same?

goose1964 · 11/11/2019 16:37

I love these but they're not wide enough for me. www.irregularchoice.com/womens/flats/sparkle-e.html

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/11/2019 18:08

The Miu Miu ones are lovely, but I used to buy very similar from a Chinese shop for about £3 in 1986!

Surely there are cheaper versions of that sort of thing around? I've had versions form both Clarks and M&S in the past, I think.

Lucked · 11/11/2019 19:24

As I said above I would wear ankle boots but if you want a shoe how about

oasis block heel

oasis flats

oasis snakeskin flats which are quite casual but might get to wear with jeans.

Lucked · 11/11/2019 19:32

I crew have lots of kitten heeled boots and flats but they are £££

And flats here and here

Lucked · 11/11/2019 19:39

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/11/2019 20:24

I like those green TS ones.

MorelloKisses · 11/11/2019 21:38

I love the KG embellished mules. I’m fancying the in black- do they stay in your feet?

Ofitck · 11/11/2019 21:44

@gingersausage I went up a size so I'd say they were a little small overall. I had to wear them in but they're really comfy now and I wear them most days to work (teacher so lots of walking around!) and am waiting flr payday to try the cowboy boots option!

ThatsMeInTheSpotlight · 11/11/2019 22:30

Morello thank you for starting this thread. I'm getting so bored of living in Skechers, Vans and loafers. There are some amazing shoes on here Flowers
