Hi everyone,

Following from thread 1 please feel free to tell us about your plus size outfits and post pictures to give us all a bit of inspiration.

Thanks to all who have contributed and made this such a safe space.

Alias this might not be to your taste at all, but Lady V London and Yumi both seem to have sales on at similar prices to the Debenhams dress.

Yumi used to be ok quality wise, but I've never used the other company myself.

I managed my night out and wore the red outfit I posted a few pages back. Thanks to those who advised.

I am suffering for it today and can't get warm. I am wearing 6 layers including a thermal one. It was worth it though.

Here I am in straight leg jeans, 16L, from Sainsbury's this season. Tunic tucked in a bit, from M&S via eBay, 18. Boots, 7, London Fly, last year I think.

Back in black for a change today.

New Look skirt, size 16 (£12 in the sale about 15 years ago). I hope my embroidery repair holds.

I'm not sure about Lady V London any more Alias - I'm sure last time I looked they had more styles available and the pictures were on the model. If you like the original dress have you tried it on with the right shoes, underwear etc. It can make a big difference. There is a lot of velvet around if you're still not sure.

I sure said "sure" a lot in that last post. I'll get my cowboy hat...

6ft size 20/22

Snag tights size F still going strong from last autumn/winter.
Sainsburys skirt absolute bargain at £14. Stretchy corduroy and pockets so comfortable. Size 22 purchased on Saturday as they only had a 14 and a 22. But you could size up or down.
Whitestuff jersey shirt this is now an autumn favourite beautiful lightweight soft jersey so I don’t overheat. I wear it at least twice a week (No ironing required) size 20 this season (bought with 25% off).
FatFace old favourite woollen waistcoat thing have had this forever it must be at least 10 years old.

I am feeling the red look today. Red Jersey dress with lace up sides (more like a shirt now being pregnant AF). Dress was £22 and I wear with a pair of black leggings and a nice big scarf. (Kitty is a home accessory and doesn't come with the dress).

summoning Love that! This thread has not been good for my bank balance either! I may have just made another eBay purchase of a bnwt River Island dress, but that really does have to be it. Your new dress is worth it though, and you needed it definitely!

I forgot to take a picture and am already in my pyjamas loungewear this evening. I was wearing the grey jumper with the bows on the sleeves I’ve posted before, layered over long sleeve white t-shirt and then some grey tweedy wide leg trousers I got in the Sainsburys sale back in the summer. They’re a smidge too big round the waist and a smidge short in the leg, so I hoiked them up a bit and tried to make out they were intended to be 7/8 length. Not sure I pulled it off

@thesummoningdark love the pinafore. I picked one up today in a charity shop, must see if I can get a picture. I like how you've styled it 😁. Mine was a large and it fitted at 16 so that was surprising.

I have to confess to buying a tacky ⛇ dress for 3 quid 🥺 from the same charity shop. I'll totally feel able to get away with it if I style it up 😂 (closer to Christmas, not now 😂)

Oh I love that pinafore summoning! I'm selling one on ebay so maybe I have room for another one...

TheSummoningDark - I am becoming a shopaholic too. Loving your pinafore dress what height are you, dress size and where is it from please and how much? Although my bank balance is asking you not to tell me!!
I tried a cord pinafore dress on from WhiteStuff and my grumpy premenstral 14 year old DD said I looked like I was trying to dress like a 5 year old 😂!!!

I'm 5'7 and Size 16. It's quite long on me.

I'm on the mailing list and used my 15% off code. The current season is supposed to be in the event over the weekend, so it might be worth looking on Thursday (not that I'm encouraging anybody).

Your DD's comment made me laugh. My recent spending spree was sparked by the opposite problem, my DM telling me I dress like an old lady.

I'm really loving these threads! It's great to see plus sized style as I have none! I am recently a size 16 due to injury, lack of running and a love for all things cake! I've really struggled looking decent!

Ignore my whole outfit now as I've just been to yoga in my slightly too small leggings and 4 boobs sports bra but this jumper I sling on top is my favourite recent charity shop find!
Can never usually get hand knits big enough for my boobs!!

I usually wear black, not because I'm a size 16 but because I like black!

TheSummoningDark - it looks fab better on you then model (whose far too slim for it in my opinion).

Had a meeting at school with DD tonight and she said she embarrassed about my wearing a red skirt (it’s actually burgundy). She wished I would wear normal colours like black!!!

I have just placed another WS order with 15% off drat (haven’t received it yet). Got to make the most of them stocking size 20’s now. Although colours are much less bright and beautiful than previous seasons.

My new pinafore dress from yesterday with an old dark green Oasis jumper (L). It's supposed to have a leopard print collar but I've taken it off. Not bothered with a photo.

Daddylonglegs I loved the burgundy skirt. I think teenagers/pre teens get embarrassed at us for existing. DS (9) told me to stop dancing earlier. I was tapping my hand on my leg! "Normal colours like black" immediately made me think Siouxie Sioux probably not helpful.

It is fecking freezing here too!

Just found this thread and loving it! I wear tunic tops and jeans pretty much every day but some great ideas on here. Has anyone seen any long cardis with buttons anywhere? All the ones in the shops seem to be buttonless at the moment and I'm tired of having a chilly vertical strip down my front!
