I have this dress which fits like a dream. I am not tall like the model so it sits mid calf on me. Can I wear it with these leopard boots? Or i wonder if i should get it shortened and wear it with my regular knee highs?

You might be short but you are so slender you can pull off either length. And I actually like it with the Timberlands! And trainers! I think you pull it off personally.

happyjack12 · 01/11/2019 19:17

love it longer with trainers :)

Fuckenstein · 01/11/2019 19:25

You have a fantastic figure OP.

Could you have it taken up just slightly so it is literally just below your knee? It would go well with the trainers.

AnyFucker · 01/11/2019 19:31

Wow. That dress looks great on you and your figure is fantastic. I think those leopard trainers would go best, although you pictured in the boots looks good too.

shinynewapple · 01/11/2019 19:56

I wear a lot of jumper dresses (not as bodycon as the one pictured) and I wear with black opaques and black ankle boots - normally with a heel.

shinynewapple · 01/11/2019 20:00

Just seen your pics - I think the shorter dress with knee high boots looks great on you .

LionelRitchieStoleMyNotebook · 01/11/2019 22:04

I like it longer, trainers work, don't think the boots do just too different in style. What about an ankle biker boot?

dontgobaconmyheart · 01/11/2019 22:09

I don't personally think either A or B go that well with the dress, though that may well be personal taste.

The only way I could think to make the dress work as cohesive casual would be black biker boots and a slouchy jacket over the top, leather jacket or even a slouchy cardigan.

LionelRitchieStoleMyNotebook · 01/11/2019 22:09

Or even a Chelsea boot

BigFatBloomers · 01/11/2019 22:12

I really like it shorter with the boots. I think it would great with toning (with the dress or the boots) tights, either opaques thicker.

BigFatBloomers · 01/11/2019 22:13

*or thicker tights

NationMcKinley · 01/11/2019 22:21

That dress looks amazing on you, OP! No advice with the footwear I’m afraid. I’m a walking fashion disaster Blush

Bubblesintheair · 01/11/2019 22:31

I would wear something like this boot with it plus leather biker jacket. I like either length but you definitely need a bit of heel height with the longer length.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/11/2019 22:37

I think it works short but not with those boots. I don't like it long because it's too long - would be better a bit shorter.

manicmij · 01/11/2019 23:51

All your items are great but do nit mix and match. You need an ankle boot with a heel as the dress is very "dressy" and you say you are short. Or just shoes with a high heel. Haven't read every response is the dress for for something special?

manicmij · 01/11/2019 23:57

Spotted your pics. Shorter for me and boots or trainers would look great on you.. you have a gorgeous figure so just go with whatever you have/can afford, you'll look great.

diddl · 02/11/2019 08:14

Also prefer it shorter.

Not keen on the boots-think the leopard ones might go better.

MaudesMum · 02/11/2019 08:26

Longer with trainers looks great. I was in London earlier this week and a lot of people were wearing longer skirts with either trainers or hiking style boots - I think both are good ways of making skirts/dresses look a bit more casual.

TodoDoingDone · 02/11/2019 09:17

I like both, but prefer the short one.
A practical question:can you walk in the longer one?I get annoyed by tight long skirts that don't let me stride about, but force me to take little dainty steps!

I think it’s all about attitude and nothing to do with needing to be younger and wearing with Sam smiths and a bomber ,
My friend who is 70 and her husband is in a band would most def wear this with both boots ! Who cares .
I’d def have it shortened . Wear with a leather jacket , thick tights with either boots and a feck off attitude to everyone else !
Ha ha

Just enjoy the dress and follow yr heart ,
Remember creativity ( if which dressing is part of ) never goes out of fashion .
Enjoy .

Bibybob · 02/11/2019 09:38

I’d have it shortened n dress it down
Although it would look great a bit longer with converse ?

Nobhobs · 02/11/2019 09:39

Don't shorten!!! Long with trainers is very on trend and the dress is gorgeous on you.

Bibybob · 02/11/2019 09:40

And not not ( unless u like them ) with those high heels someone recommended .
