There is nothing in the shops that isn’t casual or Christmas party glitter...

I’ve worn a black dress to a summer wedding. I paired it with gold accessories, sleeveless style, bare tanned legs.

Nothing wrong with black as long as it is done appropriately.one of my friends wore a beautiful black Chinese style dress to my wedding and I had no problem at all with it.

IMO style is far more important than colour

In the last 5years I've been to 6weddings. People wore black at every single one. Someone wore a black dress to my wedding in July. I'm under the age of 40 if that makes any difference, we were the people who wore black (in case it's a generational thing).
Nobody cared about wearing black and it was not mentioned by anybody.
