It's looks ombre

QueenOfTheAndals · 14/10/2019 18:17

The colour makes me think Princess Jasmine!

It moves beautifully.
The front of the dress looks like a cowl to resemble the scarves usually worn I think

myrtleWilson · 14/10/2019 18:23

It did move beautifully coming down the steps... a closer look but not the best photo for dress analysis! pbs.twimg.com/media/EG2raNVWwAAEB1C?format=jpg&name=small

Here she is in Catherine Walker

She looks stunning

Laniakea · 14/10/2019 18:26

The cowl neck is lovely ... wouldn’t it be fabulous with better shoes though!

itswinetime · 14/10/2019 18:34

She looks lovely agree the neckline is interesting. I don't normally like her in the cold blues but the colour fade here adds to the look and is better on her skin tone that the pure ice blue she likes. My only criticism would be the whole outfit reminds me of something Camilla would wear not that I don't think Camilla looks good normally but it's a bit of an older style for Kate. Not a bad start at all though and yes it moves beautifully in the videos.

BertrandRussell · 14/10/2019 18:37

Love that dress!

frugalkitty · 14/10/2019 18:38

It's stunning. Shame about the shoes!

Disfordarkchocolate · 14/10/2019 18:42

So far only me thinking it's awful and she's wearing the wrong shoes.

hopeishere · 14/10/2019 18:44

I think it's "appropriate" which is what she seems to aim for!

I think she looks fine.

What shoes would people suggest?

UrsulaPandress · 14/10/2019 18:44

She looks absolutely fabulous.

Agree satin slippers would have been better.

Northernlurker · 14/10/2019 18:44

It's beautiful. As for the shoes, I'd wear the ones I felt most confident in if getting off a plane after a long flight in front of cameras in an unfamiliar clothing style. I expect that's what she did.

Northernlurker · 14/10/2019 18:45

Or she left the matching slippers in London....

11yr old DD is obsessed with ombre anything. I showed her the photo and she was 😍😍.

hopeishere · 14/10/2019 18:45

Great shot on their Twitter. Look how high those heels are!!!

Instagram not twitter

justasking111 · 14/10/2019 18:46

I love the graduated colour of the dress. Would have chosen to dye shoes to match though.

thisenglishlife · 14/10/2019 18:53

It is a bit Princess Jasmine. It's an anarkali salwar kameez - they have long fitted kameez with tight salwar.

It's a great outfit minus the weird cowel neck.

Would have preferred a Pakistani brand not a custom British fashion designer piece (I realise the reason why though).

It's a salwar kameez style outfit that the Doc is wearing. The trousers/leggings are called salwar and the dress/tunic is the kameez.

Lots of different styles in the link below:

AppleKatie · 14/10/2019 18:55

I hate to say it. I like the colour but the overall look is quite ageing....

Not that that has to be a bad thing.

thisenglishlife · 14/10/2019 18:55

Kameez with fitted waist and looser, fuller look at the bottom.

VeniceBeach · 14/10/2019 19:03

I like that shot of the dress from the back! It’s a nice shape/material but I hate the ombré effect – looks quite dated to me.

Amanduh · 14/10/2019 19:04

She looks amazing!
