I imagine the RF have to be very transparent and have to pay for items

I imagine the RF to be very un-transparent and secretive on financial matters.

JaimeBronde · 13/10/2019 19:57

Surely it's acceptable for a friend/friends to take you on holiday & pay for it or you pay mates rates? As friends have done for me & I've done the same for them.
Can't see why it has to be different if you are famous & your friends are famous (even though you have known them years like Harry & Elton, the Beckhams & Ramseys, the Clooneys & Gerbers etc)
Obviously it's different if complete strangers/businesses are offering you freebies for influence.

Was looking at pics of the Queen in the blue outfit she wore the other day. She appears to have lost weight. Balmoral magic perhaps.

thisenglishlife · 13/10/2019 22:45

Some different images of past BRF Pakistan outfits.

Gosh the queen showed more flesh than Diana. Those outfits are fabulous. I wonder how much they cost and what became of them.

paradyning · 13/10/2019 22:58

Those emeralds would have looked mighty fine with that dress.

Hard to believe that Diana is in her late 20s in the first picture if it is from 1991. She looks 20 years older.

RomaineCalm · 13/10/2019 23:11

That is a lovely picture of HM in Pakistan. Both the dress and the jewels!

thisenglishlife · 13/10/2019 23:31

Max working a red suit and look at that massive ring!

Just pontificating... I wasn't a massive fan of Diana but her style for the last couple of years of her life was stunning (esp. the black and ice blue cocktail dresses). Even her hair looked great. I wonder what outfits we'd have been treated to between then and now...

Diana in the ice blue cocktail dress is one of my fave photos StCharlotte.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 14/10/2019 07:08

I had a look at #toyalvisitpakistan on Twitter.
Will & Kate are only leaving this morning and will arrive in Islamabad about 10pm tonight.

Kate is going to meet some local Pakistani designers at some point, so we will get to see some fashion.
I presume she will be wearing the national colours, white and green at some point. I hope HM lends her Queen Mary’s emeralds to wear.

beanaseireann · 14/10/2019 07:26

Max looks tired there. Is she arriving somewhere and is jetlagged ?
Not her usual ebullient self.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 14/10/2019 07:38

India.
I thought the same

Hairydilemma · 14/10/2019 09:14

StCharlotte when I was a child and Diana was first on the scene I loved all her frou-frou fairy princess outfits, but I absolutely agree with you, her pared-down towards the end of her life was stunning and bears the test of time so much better than the 80s stuff (though this is true of anyone’s 80s stuff I imagine, not just Diana’s!)

I still find it hard to believe Diana was only 11 years older than me. She just seemed so grown up - can’t imagine how she even began to live that life from the age of 19.

Some royal-adjacent news - Emma Weymouth is a contestant on Strictly this year!

Cambridges in Pakistan:

Reports of an earthquake this morning in Islamabad and the North where the Cambridges are due to spend most of their time. Also most intriguing is that they are visiting areas in the north where most of the Taliban and AQ training camps are located. According to Pakistani media, 1000 security personnel are deployed to keep W and K safe.

BertrandRussell · 14/10/2019 09:39

Why the fuck are they going? It’s going to cost a fortune, potentially put loads of people at risk, very scary for them and I honestly can’t see who benefits from it.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 14/10/2019 09:39

@QueenOfTheAndals
I follow her on Instagram, she’s been posting loads of photos.
I actually watched strictly this Saturday. She’s not the greatest dancer, but very sweet!

PinkSun9 · 14/10/2019 09:40

On the other side of the Pakistani border, Max n Wax have started their royal tour of India. They arrived in India last night and the official tour starts from today.

We are going to see lots of colours and fashion during this week from both India and Pakistan.

Doyoureallyneedtoask · 14/10/2019 09:43

Hard to believe that Diana is in her late 20s in the first picture if it is from 1991. She looks 20 years older.

Everybody looked older than their years.

For Diana, it was the styling. Kate already looks well into her mid to late 40s. Goodness knows what people will say about the current photos in thirty years time.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 14/10/2019 09:48

Max in India is going to be 😎 awesome!

(Finding myself a teeny bit worried about Will & Kate)
Good point; why are they going.
I think it’s a lot to do with Imran Khan having been a good friend of Diana ( via Jemima) and trying to rehabilitate his country’s image.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 14/10/2019 09:55

Also it’s the Queen’s speech this morning. In recent years. HM has worn a simple day outfit; rather than the full white dress, cloak and crown.

megletthesecond · 14/10/2019 09:55

I forgot Khan was the Prime Minister.

Fuzzyend · 14/10/2019 10:10

I think it might have more to do with Pakistan being in the Commonwealth rather than who Wills' mum was mates with.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 14/10/2019 11:08

The Queen is dressed up
