Hi guys,
I love browsing the what are you wearing today thread but being plussize (Size 26) I often can't take inspiration from it. I wondered if any other size 18+ would like to share what they are wearing today?

Oh ClientListQueen what are your getting done? I've 3 sets of tattoos but want more!

NowWeSuckingDiesel · 31/10/2019 18:09

Would love to comment on your outfits buckeejit but still can't see them, maybe because I'm on the app Sad

SmokyandtheBandit · 31/10/2019 18:13

Hi everyone. Hope I can join you. I've been reading the thread and am so impressed with the stylishness here, also that so many of you consider yourselves to be plus size when you look really slim and svelte to me!

Thanks to you lot, I've just spent £200 on ebay, snags and the vestiaire website, damn you!!! Got some lovely leather boots (several pairs coming from Vestiaire), coloured tights and some ebay tops and jackets that I hope will be good. Chinese ebay sellers so I worry they will be too small, well hey ho we will see. It's a lottery ordering from them.

I'm a mix of sizes depending on the retailer, the time of the month, and what I have eaten. Varies from 16 to 22, though lately I am far too fat for any 16s. I'm all boobs and two bellies Sad so I need the confidence that people on this thread are rocking so well.

I need to improve my rut of skinny jeans, boots and a baggy top. It is my style really, so any help in joojing it up to look 'effortlessly well put together' would be fab. And I try not to look frumpy middle aged (I am) or mutton. I like comfort too!

I don't wear dresses or skirts very often and I think I should.

SmokyandtheBandit · 31/10/2019 18:17

this is me today. Stripy thin jumper, blue jeggings (ultra comfy), faux fur gilet because it is freezing cold out, and tan ankle boots

That's nice, Smoky! Hello and welcome! I'm off to investigate the Vetsiare website...

ClientListQueen · 31/10/2019 18:37

@NowWeSuckingDiesel I have 10 Blush
I'm having one side of my back done - from sort of waistband to bra band, cherry blossom and a quote

NancyEspana · 31/10/2019 18:41

Oh exciting CLQ! Good luck with it.

Hi Smoky! Love your outfit. Beware of this thread. It MAKES people spend money, especially on Snag tights.

NowWeSuckingDiesel · 31/10/2019 18:52

Oh @ClientListQueen I love the sound of that, i was actually looking at instagram today in search of inspiration for my next one. I was always adamant the kids weren't allowed any, got my first one at 44 and am the only one in the house with any! They are addictive! Will you be long in the chair, sounds like quite a big piece, good luck!

Hi there @SmokyandtheBandit love your outfit today, is your gilet current season, I'm looking something like that!! And nancy is right, this thread inspires us to spend!

ClientListQueen · 31/10/2019 18:55

I'm hoping not all day - my pain threshold isn't great!!! If it goes over 4/5hrs I may have to do two sessions

HighNetGirth · 31/10/2019 18:59

In bed I’ll, but very comfortable in Peruvian Connection Pima cotton T shirt dress. Quite old now, but their stuff lasts very well. Getting lots of hugs from DH and the children with “Ooh, you feel nice”.
Peruvian Connection is expensive but good quality. A blanket coat I got from them 10 years ago is still one of my most admired items of clothing. When I finally win Euromillions I will clean them out.

picklemebrains · 31/10/2019 19:06

I've just had a little browse of Peruvian connection. Very nice, beautiful skirts. I'll know where to shop when I win the Lottery!

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 31/10/2019 19:29

How brilliant is this thread? :)

*Nancy what size are your Lucy and Yaks? I am a size 14-16 but apple shaped and prone to a camel's hoof if I am not careful Grin

SmokyandtheBandit · 31/10/2019 19:37

thanks for such a warm welcome!

Gilet is last year's Primarni. It has a knitted back and though it gives me too much bulk at the front for a booby woman, I don't care!

SmokyandtheBandit · 31/10/2019 19:41

I just found one on ebay in M rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F333360662577

mine is L but its huuuuuuge and would easily fit up to 24 I reckon.

Bluerussian · 31/10/2019 20:00

Nightdress. Not all day, I was in pyjama bottoms and t shirt early but then had wash and put on nightdress. I didn't go out today so was happy to not be properly dressed. My son has come round (doing something car in the drive at precise moment), but he doesn't care what I wear or what I look like. Honestly. He knows I can pull it out of the bag if required.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 31/10/2019 20:08

No pics today as in my pjs but today I wore some cropped blue jeggings from Peacock , slate grey longline top from Sandwich (charity find) with a dove grey pashmina (worn like a giant tie- also charity) and wore an old cropped White Company light grey open jacket/cardigan (charity) with my Mint Velvet ballet pumps in a stone suede colour.

AliasGrape · 31/10/2019 20:15

Just found and am absolutely loving this thread. Hope it’s ok to join?

I am currently in pyjamas and today I was in grey herringbone tregging type trousers from Dorothy Perkins and a dark charcoal grey jumper from Tesco with Fly London ankle boots. It’s an outfit in my weekly rotation as comfy and practical for work (early years teacher) but my - all the grey! I definitely need to up my game a bit so hoping this thread will bring some inspiration.

I recently bought this jumper in the plum and the black - from sosandar sale. They go up to 20 and whilst their main site is a bit spendy for me, they have a good ‘outlet’ section. The jumpers are good quality and quite generous sizing. www.sosandar.com/plum-frill-shoulder-fine-knit-jumper

I’m an 18/20, 5ft 7 and sort of hourglass maybe a bit more apple these days.

NowWeSuckingDiesel · 31/10/2019 20:30

Smoky thank you so much for finding that on ebay, you're a star, really appreciate it Flowers from one booby woman to another Grin

picklemebrains · 31/10/2019 20:33

Ooh, that is nice, Alias! And the beautiful jumper is truly bargainous!

bumblybumblingbee · 31/10/2019 20:42

I wonder if I can join in and ask a question, please? I'm really not very stylish at all, so please bear with me!

I don't wear skinny jeans because I'm far too bum-heavy, but I hate it when it comes to ankle boot time of year because I can't wear boots over jeans. Even if I could, I look too wide at the middle to be so narrow at the bottom, if that makes sense. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to make ankle boots look ok, or other wintery footwear, please?

NancyEspana · 31/10/2019 20:46

@PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair

They are the 14/16 (Large I think?) and they are ok in the camel hoof region! I am the same - a tall apple, so I live in constant fear of camel hoof! The good thing about them is that they tie at the top, so you could arguably have them as low as you wanted. The other day I wore them and was quite bloated and did find them a little less forgiving than previously because of that. They were also quite wrinkled from the suitcase which didn't help. I still love them though and even my sister complimented them and she is BRUTAL with clothes!

NancyEspana · 31/10/2019 20:51

Hi alias and bumblebee!

bee, hmmmm how about some tights? Just off the top of my head, maybe...SNAGS!!! Ahem. I love Snags.

I have also been wearing girlfriend jeans with boots, sometimes a bit of a turn up in the jeans. I love that look. If you're more bottom heavy, then maybe mom jeans? I love mom jeans but can't really get away with them, so the girlfriend jeans are my best option.

Here is a pic of someone in mom jeans and ankle boots. I'll have a hunt for a plus size pic too.

Not with ankle boots, but I think these would look nice with ankle boots.

@NancyEspana Thank you! These pictures all look so much more confident than me though - I can't imagine showing actual bare leg BlushGrin

Divebar · 31/10/2019 21:57

bumbly I would say it’s more about the length of the jeans.... if you go for a slim leg you want them 7/8ths stopping just around the top of the boots. You can just chop them off and leave them raw edged if you want.
