Hi guys,
I love browsing the what are you wearing today thread but being plussize (Size 26) I often can't take inspiration from it. I wondered if any other size 18+ would like to share what they are wearing today?

Yes, I got the black as usual and a pair of the large hole fishnets for a photo shoot I have in a couple of weeks

picklemebrains · 30/10/2019 20:59

That sounds exciting! Have you tried the fishnets over coloured look snag show?

ClientListQueen · 30/10/2019 21:17

I haven't but TBH not really my thing - I like how they look on others but I am very much black/grey/nude tights Grin

Daddylonglegs1965 · 30/10/2019 22:15

I ordered three pairs of snag tights last year (1 x navy, 1 x mustard and 1 x burgundy) and I love them.
This year I have cleared out my tights draw and gone for 5 pairs ( 1 x navy, 1 x black, 1 x builders tea, 1 x teal & 1 x suffragette purple).

poorremus · 30/10/2019 22:39

I just booked a personal shopping session on a whim, hadn't had anything done previously.

Turns out I am a spring pear - no surprise about being a pear shape, but surprised about the kind of colours that suit me. It was great doing this in person (and with clothes rather than swatches or scarves) because I could see the difference that the different colours made to how I looked

poorremus · 30/10/2019 22:41

Sorry - that was for @Divebar and @buckeejit

Divebar · 30/10/2019 23:18

@poorremus ooh thanks for that. I’m slightly tempted but might leave it until
I’ve cleared out my wardrobe. I’m slowly getting rid of stuff... while continuing to buy “ pre loved” because I can’t resist a bargain. Lol. I’ve picked up a Ronit Zilkha coat today in a charity shop still with tags on.... going to try and sell it. It’s gorgeous I wish I could get it on.

Today's, going for physio, must be able to move outfit!

Cotton traders top and bottom.

I like cotton traders jeans. I put darts at the back of the waistband, but they wear well and are a neat shape leg.

I’d forgotten about Cotton Traders. You look comfy, Pickle :) Good luck at physio.

I’m in navy blue lace and jeans today.
Lace top size 22/24, so old I don’t know where it’s from.
Tesco skinny jeans size 24
Navy blue XL vest from Primark under the lace.

Divebar · 31/10/2019 10:02

Are those stunt legs Ringlets? How are they possibly a size 24.... very trim and shapely looking.

cerys · 31/10/2019 10:04

That’s good to know about Cotton Traders jeans @picklemebrains
Always on the lookout for decent jeans as I wear them loads.

I am working from home today and have showered and washed my hair, so I feel like that’s a small victory.
I am wearing a grey checked short sleeve tunic which is meant to be a dress but is too short for me. Also blue jeggings and a longline blue cardigan from Simplybe.

My teenage boy had 5 friends sleep over last night so I have retreated to my bedroom. Living room is still full of lads!

buckeejit · 31/10/2019 10:09

@ringletsandtwiglets - you make those Tesco jeans look amazing-definitely stunt legs Grin

Can I ask should I keep any of these things. I'm not convinced apart from maybe the girlfriend jeans as they'll be useful, but need to research how to wear them & if they mean I have to start removing hair from part of my legs in winter! Agh it won't let me do 4 pics. Probably best - not quite sure how to stand to take photos & feel extra blobby!

@NowWeSuckingDiesel thanks for the discount confirmation!

ringletsandtwiglets · 31/10/2019 10:16

You lovely ladies. ‘Stunt legs’ has made me giggle. I’m all stomach, like a barrel on stilts. 😂

Bucket, please show us the pics!

Shannith · 31/10/2019 10:22

@buckeejit not much use, but I'd say keep them all. You have a gorgeous figure.

That mustard too in particular really suits you. Ditch the jeans!

Skirts and dresses really suit you. The dress and boots look in the third picture is very cool.

NowWeSuckingDiesel · 31/10/2019 11:11

Why can't i see buckeejits photos?!!

ringletsandtwiglets · 31/10/2019 11:23

I can’t either!

Divebar · 31/10/2019 12:16

I like the second and third photo best.... I’m wondering if you could layer a sweater over the dress in picture three to extend the wear into winter? This is a trick I learned from Not Buying New on Instagram.

Usernameismyname01 · 31/10/2019 13:08

I think the first really suits your figure. It shows your waist and is a good length as it also shows the shape of your legs.

The second doesn't do you any justice at all. Think the colours are quite drab. The skirt doesn't show any of your legs and because you have ankle boots on you're just showing off a cut off version of the bottom part of your legs. The skirt would probably be better with a brough or loafer. The top sits across the widest part of your hips - maybe pull it up slightly on one side so it's not cutting you in two

The third is lovely but would look much better with knees high boots of tights and shoes, not those boots you have with it

All in my opinion

ShowerOfShite · 31/10/2019 13:59

Love the 3rd photo buckets
I agree with PP that shoes or long boots might look more 'finished'. The dress looks great on.
Photo 2 doesn’t really do you any favours.
Photo 1 I like. Maybe with a long sleeved top and a wider belt.

buckeejit · 31/10/2019 15:00

Thanks all! I might keep the 3rd & yes change the footwear & add a cardy. The top is going back but the skirt might come in handy.

The pinafore I bought to try, might prefer it in a thinner cord fabric but interesting to confirm that I can wear shorter dresses. Can't do it in summer as I have an enormous varicose vein all down one leg. Mostly disguised by 80 denier snags!

picklemebrains · 31/10/2019 16:38

I like 1&3. No 2 I like the skirt but it needs a more shapely top.
Tesco has some great tops in at the moment. Deep square necks with fitted bodies. I may have bought them in every colour and several styles. I may have spent over £100. But I am returning almost everything from Tu so I don't feel too bad!

NancyEspana · 31/10/2019 16:47

I love all of those buckeejit! You do look lovely.

Really want new clothes now!

Adollop · 31/10/2019 17:34

Thanks Diesel, I'll look her up.

ClientListQueen · 31/10/2019 18:06

Tomorrow will be a scruffy day as I'm having a tattoo so want to be comfy!
