Plus size what are you wearing today

Hi guys,
I love browsing the what are you wearing today thread but being plussize (Size 26) I often can't take inspiration from it. I wondered if any other size 18+ would like to share what they are wearing today?

And I should add that my mother is Presbyterian & makes awesome traybakes, hence me being plus size

And Jamie Dornan & family were in the previous shuttle bus to the airport to us last year darn it!

I am half Presbyterian, half Catholic; considered pretty controversial back then I believe.

Presbyterian church dos though - oh my God those traybakes were phenomenal! My Catholic uncle said he wanted to convert after trying them 😂😂😂.

I married a lovely Englishman and we're in the SE England now.

Aw that's two of us he's missed out on now buckeejit! Bet he'll be gutted !

Back to the clothes and reluctantly away from thoughts of Jamie Dornan.

Some great outfits today. Divebar I love your pleated skirts! Do they wash well? Do you have to iron the pleats back in each time you wash?

I think I'm massively letting the side down today. Hopefully some nice things on holiday though, which technically starts tomorrow as DH is off work. Excited.

And reluctantly away from thoughts of traybakes too 😂.

These pleated skirts are 100% synthetic I’ll have you know.... out of the washing machine practically dry and then they’re ready to go - no fuss. There’s no way in hell I’d be ironing them. I find them really versatile. I have a beautiful green one also from M&S that I mainly wear going out.

Sorry for the slight derail there, but just to answer @NancyEspana and @buckeejit daughter of Presbyterian here too, her fifteens are quite legendary, I'm fat and she's as thin as a rake though!!! and nancy if your favorite hotel looks out on the sea and the mountains then you've got me!! We were married there and i walk the dogs (and occasionally the kids) in the forest park most days, avoiding got tours!!!!

Normal clothing service can now be resumed!

Haha! I'm out at choir practice & just lol'd at that, (community choir, no religious stuff, although we are practicing in Presbyterian church!)

Because I'm round shaped everywhere I'm not sure about pleats at all -feels like too many straight lines although I love the sound of a forest green pleather one. Went to shops earlier & thankfully didn't find anything quite right. Am going to hit the charity shops for an hour on Sat to look at the dresses rail just in case there's anything as I never look at dresses.

I've had an eBay counter offer for new DMs same as my Chelsea boots only lace up for £85 inc p&p but quite like the new ones that have a zip so might wait a couple of weeks. Might twitch though....

I'm probably going to wear a navy boyfriend cardi over the top, but can't really decide on shoes... maybe my trusty DMs!

I'm not sure the dress is actually all that flattering on me, but I am in love with the print! So cute. Dc1 says I look like Peter Rabbit 😂.

Ah that's the one diesel! Lovely place . I actually know a mum from dc1's nursery who is also from there and has ended up here in Berkshire!

Today I'm wearing leopard print top, next cropped denim leggings and wedge boots, i also threw on a green and cream faux fur trimmed jacket and cream hat as my hair needs washed

Ringlets, are you going to update this thread when you've chosen your wedding dress ?

I'm a 14 but under 5ft so definitely plus size for my height.

Today I'm in the house all day as we're getting new windows and doors put in.

I'm wearing mustard corduroy pants, a bottle green jumper made of velvet yarn, fur lined dark brown hiking boots and a big earthy toned check scarf. I'm bloody freezing and can't wait to whack the heating right up later (no point now as there is a hole where there should be a back door)

Nancy, I will have to canvas opinions :) Actually, it would be amazing to see some real pictures of plus-size brides. Anyone willing to share their wedding dresses?

You might be able to guess where I got my wedding dress... eBay 😂😂😂. Long time eBay addict!

I bought a size up and then had it altered to fit. It was an Essense of Australia, grecian style dress. It was strapless, but I had straps added. They came with the dress and the tailor just sewed them in to fit. Altogether, including alterations, I spent about £100. Most of that was alterations tbh. Bargain!

I spent a lot more on each BM dress though and then £150 on a veil .

What sort of style do you like ringlets? I'll have a google to some plus size brides!

At the risk of sounding la de da I had my dress made by a designer in the North Laines in Brighton. It was a slightly vintage style dress in dove grey silk. I also had a black silk jacket in the style of Vivienne Westwood and a small black vintage style hat with a black veil. This was after a humiliating experience in a traditional wedding dress shop where all the samples were a size 12 and I was squeezed and man handled into them. ( i was a size 16) I cried.
