But I don't agree with pp saying what bad quality hush stuff is in general. Maybe I take more care of my clothes than other people but I have hush t shirts several years old which are still going strong for example. And their jeans refuse to die. I haven't had any dresses or skirts as my shake is wrong for them though I fancy this years blossom skirt

taybert · 04/11/2019 09:32

I think the quality is generally variable- I have a few things still going strong after a few years, I had one T-shirt in particular that was like a rag after one summer, but I at least got a few months out of it and it was a clearance sale buy so not too expensive. The thing with the hoody is that it’s perfectly wearable, it doesn’t have holes or anything, it just looks tatty and it really shouldn’t.

Ellapaella · 04/11/2019 10:05

Quality is variable. I've had T shirts that lose their shape, go loose and develop holes under the armpits after a couple of months. The jeans are brilliant, not convinced by the quality of the dresses but for me personally sweaters and jumpers have been good the last couple of years.
Taybert I'd be so cross with that! To bobble
Like that after a week is ridiculous. I think you should definitely be contacting them, I'd expect a full refund to be honest, not acceptable at all.

dontcallmelen · 04/11/2019 11:26

Taybert yy what Ella said definitely a full refund, also agree with Ella I have yet to have a T-shirt that hasn’t lost its shape & developed holes & the L/S linen tops also shrank & developed holes fairly quickly.

Sooverthemill · 04/11/2019 11:40

@dontcall that's interesting because it's not my experience. I've had loads of their t shirts and they've been fine. I must be very lucky. I do wash at 30 and always air dry but I can't see how that would make much difference I just never want them to shrink!

dontcallmelen · 04/11/2019 11:45

Sover I always washed them on a gentle wash & air dry never tumbled them but still didn’t stop it happening.

Sooverthemill · 04/11/2019 11:48

That's a bugger then. I hate it when stuff doesn't last.

taybert · 04/11/2019 16:42

They’ve asked for it back for inspection but it says the default is to refund so fingers crossed.

neveradullmoment99 · 04/11/2019 19:56

@taybert that bobbling is ridiculous. I wouldn't accept it. Quality is variable. Their slub tees are awful quite honestly and do develop holes. However I have the tee with the velvet star on the front and because it was a winter weight has kept its shape wonderfully. I refuse to buy their summer weight ones. I have the 'rainbow' tee from the summer sale and its appallingly thin now as is one of their star tees from the summer [blush and red star] that I can only wear it indoors.
As for returns, they have been very good at refunding and not have any issues. I remember complaining a button had fallen off and they gave me a voucher for £10!!!!

Dinkydoos · 04/11/2019 21:30

Waves hello! It’s been a while.
Not been buying much and have been busy so haven’t been round much
Some lovely clothes though!
And must thank soy for that amazing orange bikini find she directed me to in the summer. Loved it and wore virtually every day on holiday! Thanks!

Laska2Meryls · 05/11/2019 19:53

I'm giving the Celina jumper a go , ( hope its not to 'bright' ) also the Wendy dress..

Sooverthemill · 05/11/2019 20:14

The H&M jumper came and I really like it. A quick try on ( wouldn't wear with these jeans!), what do you think? Am now very keen on trying the Brora one...

Ellapaella · 05/11/2019 20:38

Love it!

twosoups1972 · 05/11/2019 21:22

Hi @Dinkydoos Smile

@Sooverthemill lovely jumper, are you keeping or trying the Brora one?

Sooverthemill · 06/11/2019 09:19

@twosoups1972 I'm going to keep it! I really like it and am slightly surprised I've not had a fair isle jumper before.

And maybe have the Brora one for Christmas? It's that or jewellery. But am worried about slight itchiness from the 5% alpaca. Does anyone have alpaca jumpers? What are they like?

SoyYo · 07/11/2019 08:29

Love the Fairisle jumper Soover

Lovely to see you back @Dinkydoos and so pleased my bikini recommendation was a hit Smile, I love Fantasie bikinis the fit is perfect.

So I received the biker coated jeans and Luci sparkly boat neck jumper but returned both. The jeans fit was great in a 12 for me (so don’t size down if you decide to try) but they were exactly the same (except for the zips) to the Boden coated jeans I already own. If they had been vastly more flattering I’d have kept but no point in keeping as they’re quite £. They are very very nice coated skinnies.
The Luci jumper was a bit too long on me (went for M) but I’m short and the lurex fabric was unusual in that it had multicoloured sparkly bits rather than the usual gold or silver but it just didn’t flatter my shape. Again well worth a try if you’re after a sparkly Xmas/party jumper.

Laska2Meryls · 07/11/2019 12:17

hoping I have a Hush parcel today...

neveradullmoment99 · 07/11/2019 12:47

Ooohh @Laska, what did you order? Was it the Wendy? Love that dress. Cannot justify it atm though!! Although if i like the look of it on you, i may order at some point before the code runs out.

noodlezoodle · 07/11/2019 17:54

Soover that jumper is lovely. I really want to try this M&S cashmere fair isle but I definitely want to try it in person because I'm not sure whether the colour will do anything for me: www.marksandspencer.com/pure-cashmere-fair-isle-roll-neck-jumper/p/clp60283130

Sooverthemill · 07/11/2019 19:20

@noodlezoodle I also like that jumper! I have no idea why I suddenly want fairisle having avoided it since about 1971 but definitely feeling the vibe. I really really want a Brora one that is £195 but can't afford it and have decided That I would like a ring for Xmas rather than clothes. I should knit one! Joules and sea salt also have lovely ones so maybe in the sales?

noodlezoodle · 07/11/2019 20:03

Yes Soover I'm hoping for some good discounts in the sales, or maybe people will do some good Black Friday deals this year? I know that's spread from the US to the UK now.

I don't mind spending money on cashmere as it lasts so well but I do think that M&S one is a bit pricey. Brora is supposed to be the gold standard of cashmere so it's probably worth the money but I agree it's hard to think about spending that much on a jumper!

Laska2Meryls · 07/11/2019 20:23

never It was the Wendy dress, but disappointing. It didn't do up over the bust on me (36e) and I had sized up and ordered the size 14 deliberately because i thought it may be a bit straight . also it reeked of chemical dye.. went straight back I am afraid.. also the Celina jumper was a disappointment also, made me look like bet from coronation st and not in a good way.. so both went back in the next post..
However those small of boob the Wendy may work.. it is a nice pattern and style , and I am sure the dye smell would wash out, but sadly not for me ..

taybert · 07/11/2019 20:37

I’m waiting for my hoodie refund before getting something to replace it drums fingers impatiently I really like fair isle I’m just not sure I can pull it off. I’ve got a young face and short hair and I think I’d look like a boy from a 1970s knitwear pattern Grin

twosoups1972 · 08/11/2019 13:09

It's quiet on here!

@taybert hope the refund comes soon!

@Laska2Meryls I'm returning my Wendy dress too, sticking with the Warehouse one Smile

Sooverthemill · 08/11/2019 14:11

There's loads I would like to buy from Hush but I need to wait for the sale. It's just too expensive. I've spent too much anyway and am going to have to cut up my debit card at this rate!
