@Huffthepuff the - jacket is absolutely beautiful. I adore the colour. As for dressing down - for some reason I think it looks less dressy without the belt fastened. You could tie it at the back and you could wear it open like a cardigan over a nice top and long plain tube type maxi skirt and dm's or wear as you have it with your jeans/boots and a tunic blouse layering some beads with it.

However, only you know if it will fit in with your lifestyle. I think it can be dressed down but If you think you still wouldn't wear it, return it. Its still £71

I also think that darker jeans would look great with it. Black or black washed jeans, navy, very dark brown, would look brilliant with it on your 'bottom half.

I have spent the aftrenoon changing my wardrobe from summer to winter stuff ( anyone else do this DH thinks its quaint ) .

My, I have so many clothes! (and more on the way!!.)..

We do dress pretty casually at work , but there are several things i shall have to get rid of now as I cant see me wearing them..

@Laska I do that too! Although tops wise not so much ( just add knitwear) I do for sandals and everything else. I put shorts and every summery trousers under the bed and dresses go downstairs in spare room. I quite like the change

Yay some really good suggestions Never - hadn't realised how faded my 'black' skinny's are 😂 totally agree about tube skirt and dms. Those John Lewis dm dupes are still sold out in my size 😡

My Emmanuel arrived today, it’s really lovely. I was concerned about the shoe choice too but I tried it on with the black tights I was wearing and it looks nice with them so no need for anything complicated I don’t think!

My check coat arrives today any time from 8:30-10:30! Excited to see it. Will report back😁

Yes!!! He was in bed so had a wee sneak try on! OMG its super thick. I can see why it was so expensive. It is absolutely beautifully made. The 10 is a neat fit. The 12 is more relaxed but i feel a bit swamped in it. I am an 11!!!

Obviously not good with what im wearing.
So love the fact you can fasten it right up. I have few coats like that. Love the material. Its super warm. Love the colour/check. Its so subtle and classy. Dithering over the belt mostly.

I think the first picture at 10.39 is the 10.

The 10 fastened is not as comfy but the 12 feels bulky. It looks big on the shoulders esp when fastened.
