Are SNAG tights worth purchasing?

Ive spent the last 3 winters in black leggings and dresses.

Am bored of being so boring.

Am a size 16/18 with large mum tum.

Have 5 pairs of bright coloured tights in my basket but 30 quid seems like a lot when I've been wearing £3 leggings for so long 😂

Are they worth it?

I bought some recently having seen them mentioned loads on here. They are lovely. Soft and comfortable. I'm looking forward to wearing them all winter.

BloddersMum · 27/09/2019 09:40

I love mine. I had my beach bum ones on yesterday with a navy dress for work and my seven year old said they were beautiful like mermaids legs Grin.

Apolloanddaphne · 27/09/2019 09:40

Oh, and i am about the same size as you and 5'6" in height. I bought size E and they are a perfect fit. Just in case you are dithering about size as i was!

chemenger · 27/09/2019 09:41

Yes. They stay up all day without rolling down or falling down.

OpiesOldLady · 27/09/2019 09:45

Yes, they are fabulous. I really love mine.

Astella22 · 27/09/2019 09:50

I also bought some when I was a similar size and they were fantastic. They stayed up and didn’t roll down. Best pair of tights I bought in years. I even bought some as part of a present for my sister

Arewenearly · 27/09/2019 09:52

Yes! I'm tall and they are the best tights ever and last really well.

Loopytiles · 27/09/2019 09:55

Not tried snag but bloomin’ love tights! For me, much comfier than leggings.

Pancakeflipper · 27/09/2019 09:56

I've been eyeing up snag tights as I love gorgeous funky tights.

......... Off to order after reading this

FaithInfinity · 27/09/2019 09:57

I’m Autistic, very fussy about clothes, can’t wear normal tights and I love snag tights!

Foo2 · 27/09/2019 09:58

Definitely - no hoiking up required, they're so comfy

BikeRunSki · 27/09/2019 09:59

They fit brilliantly (I am 5'8, 14/16 and Size E I think) but I find the thicker deniers very sweaty and I snagged a pair of the finer ones the first time I wore them.

But they do fit well, which is their selling point.

anunseemlylovefordustin · 27/09/2019 10:00

I've been looking at these too! Are they tight in the waist, though? I can't bear being too constricted round the middle, I blow up like a balloon Grin

chemenger · 27/09/2019 10:05

No, I wouldn’t say they are tight at the waist, they seem to stay up by magic. Actually I think it’s that they have made the body longer, which accommodates a tummy, and the waistband wider giving a better grip without being tight. Other tights seem to sit on the curve of my belly and then just roll down as soon as I bend over or sit down.

chemenger · 27/09/2019 10:06

And they come packaged in tissue paper, so no plastic waste.

Geppili · 27/09/2019 10:11

They are really nice in that they simply don't slip down AND they don't cut into your waist or have that horrid rubber stuff. Ironically, They do snag quite easily but not ladder. I wish the legs which are very long and generous had a little more Lycra in them. Get some!

Geppili · 27/09/2019 10:14

I can highly recommend Manzi tights as well. They have more stretch and control. They make me feel confident.

And I am 5 foot 6 and a very curvy size 20. Smile

Invisimamma · 27/09/2019 10:17

Yes, they're great!

AdalindMeisner · 27/09/2019 10:22

£30 for a pair of tights?!?! 😯. I do find the roll down over stomach uncomfortable and large tights never seem large enough (I'm a size 18/20) but not sure I could bring myself to spend that much for one pair...

feistymumma · 27/09/2019 10:22

@Geppili thanks for that, I have placed an order. I have snag tights as well, they are very soft and comfortable however they do not have any support / control whatsoever but are the only tights that so far fit my tall and curvy shape.

VanGoghsDog · 27/09/2019 10:22

They fell down on me, I got a refund.

Heist stay up on me.

feistymumma · 27/09/2019 10:23

@AdalindMeisner which rights are £30 a pair?

InglouriousBasterd · 27/09/2019 10:24

Yes!! I tried some last month and they were a revelation - stayed up, long enough in leg, lovely smooth texture. They feel very robust too.

QuestionableMouse · 27/09/2019 10:26

@AdalindMeisner they're about £6 a pair. £30 is for a multipack.
