Maybe the espadrilles are a tribute to Kate and a subtle sign that all is well between them Grin Now don't go stealing my ideas DM!

I think Meghan looks great in both outfits, although I prefer the black and white wrap dress.
I'm still carrying the last of my baby weight, only I ran out of excuses a long time ago as my babies are 26 and 20. My SiL who trained as a midwife used to say it takes 9 months to grow a baby up to another 9 months to get back to your original weight.

SunshineCake · 23/09/2019 17:27

"Queen I have to say that it crossed my mind when I saw the pics.....also read an article today that one of the betting firms have stopped taking bets on Kate expecting again because apparently, she's......got a new hairstyle!"

frugalkitty - I guessed Catherine was pregnant with George before it was announced because she had a different fringe. I was surprised no speculation at the time as it is a known form of distraction. I still think Catherine Zeta Jones as had face surgery and agin, new hair.

I did wonder if Meghan was expecting again and think it would be lovely if there were three new babies next year, Meghan, Catherine and Eugenie but there will be lots of moaning no doubt if there are.

thisenglishlife · 23/09/2019 17:30

Quite like the dresses today, the blue shade is stunning on her. The black and white one has nice movement to it.

I don't mind the shoes with the B&W dress.

I did wonder if Meghan was expecting again

It crossed my mind as well.

FiveTwoFaster · 23/09/2019 17:52

They’re a cheerful pair - they’re not exactly at the coal face, admittedly but they seem even in the DM pics to look like they’re enjoying themselves- and it’s fair to say that while I lean towards not loving the espadrilles i’m not capable of thinking of a royal alternative and frankly Meghan, Kate and the Queen ALL look better than me on your average Monday afternoon.

ElspethFlashman · 23/09/2019 17:53

I think her figure is absolutely fab. I found her a bit too "L. A. Actress Skinny god forbid you reach 115 lbs" before so it's lovely to see her looking a bit more solid and healthy looking.

I think espadrille wedges are appropriate for a casual daytime event with dancing, but the Royals seem to think the only ones are those clunky ankle tie ones. There are ones in Office that I (and most of MN) have, that I think would have looked better.

ElspethFlashman · 23/09/2019 17:59

Oops link fail. They're the Office Holiday wedges, cross straps rather than ankle tie.

ThingsImighthavedone · 23/09/2019 18:12

I wondered if she is pregnant again too.At 38 I would guess she is probably not going to bother with contraception until she’s completed her family.

Stravapalava · 23/09/2019 18:19

I think Meghan looks great, especially the black & white wrap dress, really flattering. Also, I really don't get the hate for espadrilles on here as I love them! Maybe I'm unstylish, haha.

Meghan always seems to get really involved in whatever she's doing, throwing herself into it with gusto, so bravo to her for that.

Angela Kelly is bringing out a book (authorised) about dressing the Queen

"The publisher added: "Sharing never-before-seen photographs - many from Angela’s own private collection - and charming anecdotes of their time spent together, this revealing book provides memorable insights into what it’s like to work closely with The Queen, to curate her wardrobe and to discover a true and lasting connection along the way."

"The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, the Dresser and the Wardrobe comes out October 29, and is available for pre-order now. The audiobook, which will be read by Kelly, will be released on the same day."

itswinetime · 23/09/2019 18:28

I prefer the cut of the black dress but I do like her in the colour of the blue. I know she seems to prefer the more natural colours but I do love her in colour.

Meghan has a baby 4 months ago I don't know how anyone can see signs she might be expecting her body is still going back to pre Archie and it maybe it doesn't ever go back to her original shape! But I guess if she is (and I'm far from convinced) she has a maternity wardrobe ready and waiting.

If I was ever royal I think I'd enjoy keeping everyone guessing though if you can't beat the game you may as well join it Wink

TSSDNCOP · 23/09/2019 18:40

Live the black/white with the wedges but dislike the blue (apart from the lovely colour) and the wedges.

They are definitely hitting the ground running. I just had a look on the main boards for the usual thread trashing them and their very existence. Seems quiet.

justasking111 · 23/09/2019 18:42

I thought the midwife association advised a gap between babies for the body to recover.

Wetdogloveshubert · 23/09/2019 18:47

The lady knows how to glow!

paradyning · 23/09/2019 18:53

Oh come on. To be pregnant and showing now she would've had to of had a period in about two weeks of birth and have had sex! Give her a break

itswinetime · 23/09/2019 18:57

Apparently Archie's hat is one that Harry wore/very similar to one Harry wore. So I guess in public at least we might be seeing a similar style on Archie to the Cambridge children lots of nods to previous royal style

Of the two dresses, I prefer the black & white on Meghan. I do love the colour of the blue one on her, really suits her.
Can't make my mind up about the wedges. Think the straps don't look so good.

JaimeBronde · 23/09/2019 18:59

Harry in those suits makes me think he should be the detective in Death in Paradise Grin

Grinchly · 23/09/2019 19:24

She's pregnant again, I'd wager.

The blue suits her but it's a bit... ill fitting to my eye, but then so is a lot of her stuff and I don't know what I'm talking about!

The b and w is ok.

Rhubarbisevil · 23/09/2019 19:39

Oh look, there’s Timothy Laurence behind Princess Diana, back in the day when he was still staff.

paradyning · 23/09/2019 19:41

Wow excellent spot @itswinetime! What did he do for them?

pastaparadise · 23/09/2019 19:41

I'd be surprised if she's pregnant. I know you can show quite early in second pregnancies, but as a pp said, she would have to have periods back and be pregnant again in less than 3 months. I know it happens but unlikely. My dc are 2 years apart and i think a smaller gap would be hard work!!

Like both dresses but not keen on the shoes. Fwiw i quite like wedges but i agree she needs a more delicate strap as her ankles are so slim

paradyning · 23/09/2019 19:41

Oops sorry 😐 @Rhubarbisevil

Span1elsRock · 23/09/2019 19:50

I think she's in very early pregnancy - the stage where your waist disappears quickly! Being so close to having had Archie, everything will pop much quicker. Harry was very protective too, I noticed.

I had 6 weeks between baby no 2 and baby no 3. I looked enormous by 12 weeks Blush
