Ridiculous eyelashes and eyebrows.
Trowel-thick orange foundation.
(Might just be where I live though)

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 07/09/2019 09:05

Those fecking furry Gucci slides and all the rank knock-offs of the same ilk.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 07/09/2019 09:08

The hideousness that is ankle boots with dresses.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 07/09/2019 09:12

White trainers worn with everything. So dull.

Ambidexte · 07/09/2019 09:22

Covering up. Longer skirts, higher necklines, blouses instead of clingy tops. And the mimiskirt becoming an endangered species.

Ambidexte · 07/09/2019 09:22

*miniskirt!

CalmFizz · 07/09/2019 09:25

Leopard/animal print

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 07/09/2019 09:25

Thin gold necklaces piled up- also bracelets and ear cuffs.

Those back to front earrings.

MairzyDoats · 07/09/2019 09:31

Midi length skirts definitely. Less flesh. High necklines. Tbh though, I can't even think now what defines the 90s/00s particularly... It feels like every other decade since about 1920 onwards had its own defined style that you can recognise (20s flappers, 50s dior new look etc) and then from the 90s on its all a bit muddy. Lots of recycled looks. A lot of stuff in the shops now is exactly what I wore in the 90s (long floral dresses and floral wrap skirts with chunky heels!)

Mother87 · 07/09/2019 10:04

Sticking tongue out in all photosConfusedstill lots of orange skin and glued-up eyelashes & slug brows and shiny cheekbones...

Mother87 · 07/09/2019 10:05

Gigildid - oh yes overwhite perfect plastic looking teethGrin

Elllllle · 07/09/2019 10:15

Fake tan has morphed into the everyday.

As have eyelash extensions, eyebrow tattoos etc. Fake looking lips. When I look back on tv shows from the era, these are the things I will notice. Maybe flared sleeves and cold shoulder as well, these trends have lasted 3+ summers now. Skinny jeans over any other style (until very recently).

Elllllle · 07/09/2019 10:16

Oh highlighter!!! Yes how could I forget! Shiny faces everywhere

AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet · 07/09/2019 10:18

Are skinny jeans 'over'?

I wear them for approximately 360 days in the year

crosser62 · 07/09/2019 10:22

Oops sorry just saw it’s style and fashion...

Trump orange skin and boris wild hair... it’s everywhere..

BusterGonad · 07/09/2019 10:44

Hideous make up, gross eyebrows and even worse blow job fake lips and pouring.

BusterGonad · 07/09/2019 10:44

Pouting.
I am a make up lover btw but just not the make up in fashion now (cut crease...contouring etc..)

SpamChaudFroid · 07/09/2019 10:51

Reading this thread broke my dream from last night! I dreamt I saw Max Wall at a post office and proudly pointed at him saying "This man was the original man-in-jeggings".

This decade will be remembered for it's jeggings (I fucking hate them) and thick, thick brows. And men in make-up became mainstream, not edgy.

Peplum tops and dresses were quite a thing early and mid 10s.

Leggings and jeggings with arses not covered, unlike the naughties where longer tops were still a must.

Bare midriffs whatever the whether recently.

Make-up that looks good on camera but not in real life.

Pinkblueberry · 07/09/2019 19:05

Embarrassing selfie pouting

Yeah I can imagine future generations laughing at us for this - I think natural, smiling pics (you know, people just looking normal) will become more of a thing again in the future Grin

BrexitBingoGenerator · 07/09/2019 19:06

Hugely trendy People posing stupidly on street corners while someone takes their photos for instagram Confused.

Everyone looking the same because they are copying everyone they see on Instagram.

The selfie face (you know- taken from up above, big pout, lots of photoshop)
