The velvet tank top is a gamble. I have a side to me that is longing to be dressed in velvet and brocade, with beaded spectacle chain and lots of diamonds like a bohemian Agatha Christie character. This is my first foray into velvet. Maybe as a stepping stone to my Bloomsbury set aspirations I'll wear it with my wide leg jeans and my 100 stars green kimono over the top?

Huff dress is lovely, I love velvet & brocade & diamonds as well but fear if I tried it all together I would be vying for Miss Marple look a like rather than a sophisticated ‘bright young thing’ 😂

Now then despite no spend I don't feel any richer. Had a lot of outgoings this month. I have been meaning to put several Boden and a joules dress on eBay but probably missed the boat now as they are summer dresses and probably won't sell out of season. Looking ahead to no deal disaster though I reckon I might make a few quid on baked beans and lentils 😁 You all know where to come if you start getting hungry - you can all have mates rates

Tempting Laska as I'm not sure what I'll put the velvet top with otherwise. But I think of that style of maxi skirt as summer wear, and can't imagine wearing it in A/W. But velvet feels like an autumnal fabric. I'm probably overthinking...

Yes all their velvet is dry clean only. I plan to spot clean the top with a baby wipe and hope for the best 👌

Laska trust me, I have enough tuna for Ella dog, the extended family, the street and all of you and then some. There will be no tuna shortages here you can rest assured.

I ordered the cord trousers in green and blue but only really to choose between if any as I have ordered plenty. Very very tempted by the silk velvet long skirt. It is a bit posh for me though I fear.
