There is always one to take the time to post asking 'who? No idea who she is'. Nice 'I've only ever heard five singers' twist though. Very funny!

Sparklingbrook · 02/09/2019 18:15

Who is Elvis?

M3lon · 02/09/2019 18:15

Some bloke with big hair in a jumpsuit....

Katzia · 02/09/2019 18:19

How on earth did she get to marry at York Minster?

The groom's grandfather is the Lord Lieutenant of York.

M3lon · 02/09/2019 18:19

Actually the 5 singers is a lie - I have heard of every single member of pentatonix! and then...Elvis....Paul McCartney...Paul Simon...erm...the other one...Art Garfunkel!....there must have been other beetles too...John lennon? And Pavarotti! Does Bill Bailey count as a singer?

M3lon · 02/09/2019 18:19

Honestly didn't think I would get to double digits.

Happymum12345 · 02/09/2019 18:20

Beautiful lady & beautiful dress!

Sparklingbrook · 02/09/2019 18:20

EG's dress is understated and tasteful. About time celebrities started trying for taste.

justrestinginmybankaccount · 02/09/2019 18:22

Her dress is minging!!!

MyCatsHat · 02/09/2019 18:31

Having been less than rapturous over the first one, I now prefer it to the second which is just a bit meh.

Nice matching fish gapes though! (even though that's not the groom...)

FelicisNox · 02/09/2019 18:33

I love Ellie but this dress is just awful.

It screams trying too hard and there is nothing flattering about it AT ALL.

busyhonestchildcarer · 02/09/2019 18:38

Slightly different subject .My daughter happened to be at the cathedral and was thrilled to find that Ellie Goulding was getting married and everyone was given a white rose

It was awful and with the bridesmaids virtually matching, they all looked like they were members of a scary cult

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 02/09/2019 18:42

It’s not to my taste but she does look nice!

Makes a change from as much flesh on show as possible which seems to be the current tacky trend...

Aprillygirl · 02/09/2019 18:49

It's refreshingly modest and understated but I hate the high frilly neckline.

AsTheWorldTurns · 02/09/2019 18:50

Seems a bit too studied/contrived to follow aristocratic bridal trends. I don't really like it and I struggle to believe that she did either.

Sparklingbrook · 02/09/2019 18:51

I think it's lovely.

I think that she looks beautiful and the dress really suits her. She's always been a little on the quirky side with her dress sense. It's also a refreshing change for a celebrity to not be half naked on their wedding day.

Betaboo · 02/09/2019 18:54

I think she looks beautiful and I really like the dress, it was perfect for the cathedral.

In all likelihood, she probably had another dress to change into after the church ceremony. I hope we get to see photos if she did change.

I agree with others, she should have left her lips alone.

It is stunning.

DateLoaf · 02/09/2019 19:13

Well she looked lovely but white (as in the day dress) and cream (the beading motif) is a tricky combination so she’d got a bit of a challenge with that. Good idea to have the cream bouquet to tie it all together but it was a quite plain 80s/90s bouquet of purely roses which seemed strangely nondescript. I thought if she had used the cream bouquet to underline her 70s milkmaid/sloaney 80s ruff blouse and pearls references it would have made it look a bit more intentional.

Pretty
