I thought Katy Perry had come as the Queen Mother.

Ellie’s dress was a bit Margo Leadbetter. It looks nicer in some photos than others.

The bridesmaids’ frocks were bloody horrible, though.

The dress is Stella Mccartney, good work MNs! I can't upload an image though.

I liked it, very modest and befitting for a big church venue so hats off to her for that.

These long-sleeved, high-necked shapeless dresses feel very puritanical and a bit Handmaid's Tale.

Mary Charteris' dress is what you wear when you're an aristo wanting to make the point that you are too posh and fashionista to care about convention. Ellie's dress is what you wear when you're worried you're not posh enough, so try too hard to blend in. Same for Katy Perry - over-compensating for being better known for prancing around in her Daisy Dukes with Snoop Dogg. Kudos to her though - Orlando Bloom is a helluva upgrade from Russell Brand.

Aristo weddings tend to have bridesmaids in white. However they rarely have adult bridesmaids - they are usually late teens at the oldest, so it looks less weird and less as if they're acolytes to the bride's apocalyptic cult.

I'm not sure about Ellie Goulding. Ed Sheeran wrote that song about her cheating and I'm not sure if it ended well between her and lovely Greg James all those years ago either...

No idea what Katy Perry came as. Looks gorgeous from the neck upwards but the rest is just WTF, including those shoes? I think she is defo pregnant.

I adore the skirt of the dress. Beautiful fabric, bet it looked amazing when she moved.

Really like the style but think the heading over-egged the pudding somewhat. Love the neckline and overall silhouette.

Looks very Laura Ashley Circa 1970 - 1980. She looks lovely.

I like the dress. It's stylish and the groom obviously likes a bit of a geek chic look which is what she's gone for. It just doesn't go with the sort of beach wedding hair and makeup. That's the main problem. She needed to carry through with a sharper hairstyle.

It looks terribly hot and enclosed.....from a comfort perspective I wouldn't like that.

I saw the Mary Charteris dress in an exhibition at the V&A, and it was actually rather beautiful as a piece of design - the silk was lovely. But she looked a prize chump walking down the aisle in it.
