Only one make up counter, which one?

I need a complete make up do-over, I'm just running out of foundation and want to go for a bit of everything but I dont fancy schlepping through a few counters so just thought I'd go to one, speak to a consultant and get a face made and buy what I liked.

I'll probably go to Sepfridges so have the choice of Mac, Charlotte Tilbury, Bobbi Brown etc. Which one would you recommend?

I'm a fair skinned white woman and want regular, good quality make up for day to day that lasts well and looks well.

Any recommendations please!

Good idea. You can dodge the pebble that way. They do a magnetic tray that you can drop three or four pans into. I think I’d really enjoy a trawl of the beauty counters with you @Ninkaninus!

Return the eyeshadow, I've never found Charlotte Tilbury shadows to be any good. Go for too faced, they're amazing.

That would be fun! I bought a BB Parisian Red lipstick yesterday - it’s going to be my colour for A/W! 😍😍

Alsohuman · 30/08/2019 10:56

Just googled it, it looks lovely. Is it a true red on you?

Chanel every time

I don’t know yet! I bought it online. I’ve a terrible track record for online lipstick purchases (have been searching for the perfect peachy/corally/salmony colour for ages and have had quite a few duds) but I’m crossing my fingers!

Nars Niagara is a good peach/coral/salmon

I can't stand the baked textures.

Surrat have the best powders, they feel almost like cream. Extraordinary.

Alsohuman · 30/08/2019 11:56

Oh, I haven’t tried Surrat for eyeshadow, if their foundation is anything to go by, I’m guessing they’re brilliant.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 30/08/2019 12:18

Mine is Renard Roux, great colour, but the texture is very buttery, no fall out.

Same with the blush. Haven't tried the foundation, though. Grin

Thank you. Next time I’m in Liberty I’ll check them out. Like I need any more eyeshadow ...
