Hi all, I've been following the tribe group on Facebook for a while but just wondering if anyone here has tried it. I can't seem to get to the bottom of what they advise, seasons etc. Is there something similar closer to London. And she keeps advising chunky trainers, is this a thing now?

Dear lord, y'all made me look. Firstly, could Susie be any less stylish? Actually, all the stylists look cheap and nasty as me old ma would say. Secondly, the hair. They take women with long, good hair and tell them ALL to lop it off to a hideous, ubiquitous mumbob. Or mumlob. Why? I genuinely think many women are threatened by women with beautiful long hair, Some poor woman today is sporting a badly dyed, scrappy black ear length bob. The sheep are bleating about how amazing she looks. Does she fuck. Its a truly depressing page full of very, very ordinary, plain, generally overweight women who haven't a clue what looks good. Depressing.

EndlessUserName · 06/08/2020 15:16

I meant, can anyone recommend a stylish person to follow on insta?

@Flappergasted don't even know where to start with your post. This isn't the nicest thread ever but that was all pretty mean

Flappergasted · 06/08/2020 15:19

It is mean. Its also pretty mean to tell insecure women with low self esteem to chop off their hair, part with their hard earned cash to look like over active toddlers.

WowStarsWow · 06/08/2020 15:25

One of the stylists has had a hair analysis and looked a million times better before.

Ordernary? Plain? Overweight? Thanks a bunch! Maybe they don’t dress like you do, but I see a real mix of everyday people on the site. No-one claims to be a supermodel, and the clothes recommended are from high street stores, so affordable to all. I wouldn’t dress like some people, but that’s because that’s not my style.

I find the site positive and encouraging, not depressing

I suppose the point I'm trying to make is that so many of these women could look fantastic. But they don't. They are obsessed with arbitrary style roolz rather than actual style, cut, shape, colour. White trainers can look brilliant but they need to be worn with the right things, for example. Telling women who have little time for personal grooming to have a time intensive mumbob is counterproductive.

Someone recommended following the John Lewis stylists earlier in this thread.

@Standrewsschool Those clothes from "high street stores, so affordable to all" are made by slaves in unimaginable conditions. And even if their production was not harmful to fellow human beings and our planet, they are most badly fitting and garish.

That combined with the fact that they 'stylists' cannot work out the colouring and shapes of their clients results in the disastrous outfits on that facebook group.

If all that is not bad enough Susie can't deal with complaints, promotes her friends businesses without declaring she is doing so and writes for the Daily Mail.

QueenCT · 06/08/2020 16:15

The hair analysis isn't curly girl friendly either even if they say it is, they recommend shampoo and styling products with silicone in

Coffeeandbeans · 06/08/2020 16:21

Basic Bitches and holiday packing is £35 in total.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 06/08/2020 16:27

What on earth is 'basic bitches'?

Flappergasted · 06/08/2020 16:34

How are they doing the bra fittings???

Coffeeandbeans · 06/08/2020 16:44

Online. The bra consultant runs her own business and looks very experienced. She has her own shop.

ohmygiddiest · 06/08/2020 17:04

She also has a rather fetching profile picture on the SBS website where her bra does not fit.

Also, she does not use a measuring tape, preferring to do the fittings by eye.Hmm

Flappergasted · 06/08/2020 17:05

So are they having in person bra fittings?

WowStarsWow · 06/08/2020 17:12

If I am wearing a very badly fitting bra, how is the fitter supposed to tell what the right size will be? Will I have to send her photos of me in a bra? If so, how's this different to what BoB do for free? (and publicly within their group, so that other people can read and learn)

Holdingtherope · 06/08/2020 17:12

I couldn't recommend it enough. I had an analysis and it really helped me develop a style.

Flappergasted · 06/08/2020 17:13

BoB are fantastic.

weareyoung · 06/08/2020 17:16

I've lost count of the number of businesses that she subtly promotes without disclosure.

Twelve Middle Row and her personal trainer, for a start.

weareyoung · 06/08/2020 17:17

@Holdingtherope It's really good that you found it helpful. I'm genuinely interested in how you found your style through it (no malice in this at all).
