Hi all, I've been following the tribe group on Facebook for a while but just wondering if anyone here has tried it. I can't seem to get to the bottom of what they advise, seasons etc. Is there something similar closer to London. And she keeps advising chunky trainers, is this a thing now?

KatieGilbert what’s the Tattle tread under, what heading?

Scruffyoak · 02/08/2020 09:18

Tattle is another forum. She will not like that!

Oooh, a Tattle thread. Makes Mumsnet look like a bunch of friendly purring kittens Grin

I agree with the comments re placement marketing on MN. It's prolific. But I think MNers are becoming increasingly wise to it.

I do notice any recommendations for SBS on here are rapidly swatted down down, though.

Cherrypie32 · 02/08/2020 10:14

I know what Tattle is! Just can’t find her thread.

The stupid thing is it's actually fairly easy to fit a bra once you know what you're looking for. It's finding the bra that works for you that's more tricky!
For instance the only real shape that fits me perfectly is elomi plunge. If I had just tried the other elomi styles I would have written them off, and I'm outsized from the high street so what will they do then.. send them to bravissimo who will fit a bra? Confused

QueenCT · 02/08/2020 12:01

I've actually helped people fit their own bras via FB messenger. For free Grin

JessicaPeach · 02/08/2020 14:34

I think once you spend a lot of time on boob or bust and people say what size they are wearing now you can have a fair crack at what will be at least a better size for them. I'd expect someone who did it as a proper job to be getting it bang on every time and being able to recommend a style. Wonder how it will work when all of the recommendations have to be for expensive bras (because if you have a big chest it isn't that often you can pick up a cheap one!)

eggofmantumbi · 02/08/2020 14:56

Wow I've just looked at the picture of the fitter.... It's awful! (Bra wise). To me it's the 'before picture'.

I actually bought an analysis a few months ago. It has helped me have a bit of a kickstart as I've totally lost my way the last few years after pregnancies and illness, but I don't take it as gospel like some do on the group.

For example my totally disinterested husband could tell me that I definitely do not look better with t-shirts tucked into my jeans, but I do suit chunky shoes better.

Coniferhedge · 02/08/2020 17:43

I think the thing that annoys me is the seeming obsession with chunky white trainers. I’m really not keen on trainers. I have one pair which I use to go hiking In at the weekend and that’s it. I don’t care how much they will balance out my figure, I ain’t wearing them!

Just fallen down a Tattle rabbit hole, what a place Grin. Not sure if in defence of Susie or not but I think some of the ‘fawning’ is a bit of a ‘Facebook group thing’ I’ve noticed it with other ‘guru types’ and even some shops people seem to get sucked in to ‘the group’ and not realising they are being constantly marketed to and encouraged to buy more with ‘stashes’ and ‘hauls’.

evilharpy · 02/08/2020 19:44

I had a nosy around Tattle, only briefly but it seems like a really horrible website. Really quite personal attacks.

WowStarsWow · 02/08/2020 20:31

Ironically evilharpy the reason tattle exists is because these minor Internet personalities do not allow criticism in their little echo chamber bubbles. Susie is a perfect example and deserves a thread there on that basis.

WowStarsWow · 02/08/2020 20:32

And most people with busy threads on there have actually done some quite shitty things.

WowStarsWow · 02/08/2020 20:36

Also. She CONSTANTLY promotes some shop called Twelve Middle Row in the group. Not sure I’ve ever seen her disclose that it’s her friend’s shop. She’s no better than influencers who don’t disclose their connections with brands they promote. Shady AF!

weareyoung · 02/08/2020 20:40

I've also twigged about Twelve Middle Row. Subtly promoting 'small businesses'...yeah right.

And with regards to Tattle, yes it is brutal. But as @WowStarsWow said, it exists because there are so many dickheads on social media who won't listen to people who do anything other than fawn over them.

evilharpy · 02/08/2020 20:53

I did spot a thread on Tattle about Nigella that was only complimentary. God bless Nigella, she's a national treasure and even Tattle agrees. There was also a multi-thread post about Joe Wicks that I didn't read but I hope they weren't being too mean about him Grin

LivingDeadGirlUK · 02/08/2020 21:56

Gosh Tattle, I can't stop reading, it's like a car crash. I've ended up reading threads about people I don't even know and I can't stop :p
