Autumn wardrobes.... what are we thinking of?

I look forward to September and the change in weather move to autumny clothes.... I don't know why but I really, really fancy some super leather cowboy boots... plus pinafore dresses :)

I need to try some insoles in my Hudsons. There's no padding at all in the soles.

I love those boots @Atalune - I love buying boots however I finally bought a pair of classic DM's this year so they will be this years winter boots.

Def one of my best thrift shop finds! Was leaving through September vogue and saw they have a section on capes and leather. GET IN. Will just be founding and creaking round the office all autumn :p

Ooh, just saw the cape is a charity shop job, I love charity shop shopping! Some of my recent bargains include a pair of 7 For All Mankind jeans for £7 and a stunning handmade Vietnamese red silk kimono for £10.

Those are brilliant finds @GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal! My best recent find was a coat that wasn't cheap (£20) but it's a vintage repro that looks a bit like something Mrs Maisel would wear so I snapped it up

Oh I like that Boden coat too. I absolutely must not buy another coat though! It's a lovely colour though.

I plan on doing a bit of wardrobe mining - I've recently lost two stone, which means my pre-DC clothes should fit again. I'm going to dig out my black leather trousers and a gorgeous tan leather patterned skirt that I've not been able to get into for years.

I'm trying not to buy new - although did fall for a lovely pair of knee-high tan leather Bertie boots in the John Lewis sale. Also a delicious striped cashmere jumper (in a size 8! I'm going to have to make sure I keep the weight off) and a pair of purely indulgent oyster pink silk pyjamas. So, um, the whole not buying new is not going brilliantly!

I suspect my gorgeous charcoal Uniqlo velvet skinnies from last year will now be too big, which is a shame as I loved them. Hoping the cashmere jumpers I also got from there will still work in an "over-sized" way though.

I want some really chunky biker ankle boots.
Recently bought a cashmere jumper in the sale.
Will wear all the pinafore dresses I've been wearing over the summer just need to swap sandals for tights and boots and add a long sleeve top instead of a t-shirt.
Also have a selection of thin jumpers that I layer if it's cold and wear with jeans, mini skirts, leather leggings.
I absolutely love Summer and hope it goes on for a while yet, but Autumn is the best season for clothes imo.

Pink silk PJs sound amazing!

I am very excited about them Remus. I love nice PJs! We're off to Cornwall on holiday this week and it's forecast to rain pretty much constantly. I figure I will feel better about rainy days out if I know I can have a bath and climb into silk pjs once back at the hotel.

Too many lovely things, am coveting silk pyjamas now. I’m going to have a rummage around the charity shops today for costume jewellery mainly.

I'm starting to think about my winter wardrobe and really keen to have a good wardrobe that just works as I've never had one...always seem to miss things or just end up picking up random rubbish that I don't wear.

I'm 40 this year and really want to get myself sorted.

I'm really struggling for coats and need ideas that will go well with my whole wardrobe but have no idea except that I don't like tench costs
