I look forward to September and the change in weather move to autumny clothes.... I don't know why but I really, really fancy some super leather cowboy boots... plus pinafore dresses :)

I’m terrible &@LuxuryWoman2018, Id have a little look else where while at the same time consider how I could justify just getting them (cost per wear, how many outfits they go with, consider what I already have etc).

The more I look at & Other Stories (I’ve not ordered before), the more I think this is exactly the style I like - flowy midi/maxi dresses with long sleeves & boots, skinny trousers/jeans & chunky knitted jumpers - nothing too form fitted. Perhaps a lighter top half tucked into skinny jeans. I really like these bits too...

I tried to link to you ^^ @LuxuryWoman2018

The cardigan with the dinosaur buttons is so nice!

LuxuryWoman2018 · 26/08/2019 18:31

Elloello sadly I'm big foot but thanks they're nice and a great price

Sigh81 · 26/08/2019 18:31

Been on the hunt for a jacket to wear with black/brown/rust outfits at work.

Taken a punt on this Hobbs blazer - difficult to see if the grey/fawn will work, or what kind of material it is (i.e. will it be smart enough for work?

Sigh fashion ninja moment, they seem sold out now, love the colour. happytobemrsg once you’ve found the style you like then you can add cheaper bits as you see them I guess.

Sigh81 · 26/08/2019 19:09

Ooh - I must have got the last one (they were sold out of all except size 8 - happily my size).

Let's see what it's like in real life...!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/08/2019 19:44

Love that cardigan. :)

happytobemrsg · 26/08/2019 20:12

I’d have to @LuxuryWoman2018, until my new business is up & running I certainly couldn’t afford a whole wardrobe from there! I have lovely long flowy dresses from New Look which are of a similar vibe to &OS which were only £26ish each

LuxuryWoman2018 · 26/08/2019 20:20

New business and baby? happytobemrsg that’s a full plate, hope it all goes well. I get a lot of bits from Tu and cheaper places but I like a decent coat, shoes and bag. Love decent costume jewellery too.

happytobemrsg · 26/08/2019 20:51

Ha you’re right there @LuxuryWoman2018! I love Missoma for good quality gold plated jewellery but also love earrings from Lovisa - check them out!

LuxuryWoman2018 · 26/08/2019 20:56

I will, I sometimes find great costume jewellery in charity shops and when I was young (literally a child) jumble sales were the thing and I had some incredible costume jewellery, long lost now but I still mourn a couple of things. I found a huge, sparkly ‘diamond’ ring recently for £6 and it’s impressive in its sparkle. I love things like that.

happytobemrsg · 26/08/2019 21:06

I’ve had the opposite luck - my costume jewellery just get tangled & tarnished. I’ve recently sorted my costume jewellery & bought these amazing plastic storage boxes which divide everything up & lets me actually see what I’ve got - game changer

Sigh81 · 26/08/2019 21:28

And dropped further down the purchase rabbit hole: dress from & Other Stories, Chantelle underwear (dress will probably be returned as it is unnecessary but I do have a lack of beautiful underwear which fits well since I lost a bit of weight)

I really like that dress and good for you buying new underwear, it makes you feel good I think

happytobemrsg · 27/08/2019 10:57

Love the colour of the dress @Sigh81

LuxuryWoman2018 · 27/08/2019 17:44

I’m still drooling over the boots but I’ve seen some on Dune similar, much less money and a 10% sign up offer. I’m guessing Dune are good quality, I need comfort for my feet too

Pret21 · 27/08/2019 21:39

Silk skirt and a rollneck. Cool combination

Ooooo my & Other Stories box has arrived but as I’m looking after DC I don’t see how I can go & try them all on. Having DC is very inconvenient this morning 😂

happytobemrsg · 28/08/2019 12:16

That does sound like a cool combination Pret21. I love long swishy skirts & jumpers on others but they never look right on me. I’m pear shaped & I’m bad at picking skirts which don’t accentuate my hips & previous weight gain has always made me self-conscious

LuxuryWoman2018 · 28/08/2019 12:53

I can’t remember the last time I wore a skirt, very much an apple and can’t find the right shape. Let is know happytobemrsg when you open your box of delights.

happytobemrsg · 28/08/2019 14:55

I think a-line skirts are supposed to be best for pears because they skim over the hips & emphasise the waist. But I just feel they make me look bigger than I am 🤷‍♀️ Empire line dresses seem best on me.

So I’ve opened my parcel & tbh it was quite a mixed bag. I like the red diamond jumper but it was shorter than I expected & a little snug. I’d consider it in the next size but I don’t know if the length will still be a problem. It’s a lovely pattern.

I really like the leopard print jumper & it’s lovely & soft but not sure if it’s too big (it’s oversized & I ordered XS). Tough because I can’t try it on with my usual jeans to see how a half tuck would work. Did look cute half tucked into my treggings with lots of gold necklaces 🤔

Bag is nice but too big & bulky. Gutted really as need new leather crossbody bags.

(Photo attached of what I’m definitely keeping). The beige cable knit jumper is LOVELY! Knew I was keeping that as soon as I put it on. Also love the necklace & tortoiseshell earrings (big but super cool). Will keep the other earrings for bff’s birthday pressie.
