Autumn wardrobes.... what are we thinking of?

I look forward to September and the change in weather move to autumny clothes.... I don't know why but I really, really fancy some super leather cowboy boots... plus pinafore dresses :)

BarrenFieldofFucks oh my, why did you have to show us that divine maroon coat? It’s gorgeous, I’m loving berry colours at the moment and I’m now hankering after a wine colour bag too.

Still looking for boots.

Ah, bugger it I got the Windsor in wine red, I also bought a berry coloured shirt in Wallis someone had on the ‘what are you wearing thread’ I’m going to look like a plum (an actual plum)

Oh barrenfield I didn't even realise Tk Maxx sold online... I found myself down the rabbit hole and before I knew it, I had snapped up a couple of Joseph items (cream wool sweater and high waisted navy wool/cashmere trousers).

And we have a heatwave 😀

I'm very into slim fitted suits (sometimes with the trousers rolled up) and Birkenstocks these days.

Been lurking on here, which is dangerous for the wallet! I really don't need anything, but love coats and boots and autumn/winter wear. The latest Uniqlo Ines collection preview is out, which looks lovely. I like the checked mini skirt with a skinny polo opaques and boots but wondering if it's all floaty midi prints again this season.

I’m currently in Bordeaux where it’s 32 degrees! Contemplating autumn wardrobes is quite tricky!

@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal do you know what the sizing is like for that Uniqlo coat? I cannot see a chart and wondering if I could get away with the smallest size as I do love it!

They have a sizing tool on the website which I've found pretty accurate in the paste. I came up as Medium for the jacket, which sounds about right as I'm a 12.

I am usually an Xs or an S and I am an 8/10 from uniqlo.

I like the look of the relaxed style v necks and the longline cardigan in that tan colour from uniqlo,

What trouser silhouette does everyone thing is going to be 'in' this Winter?

I've finally caught up with the wide leg/culotte thing. As I'm short I've found that fairly slim, high waisted ones are better on me and I'm wondering about getting a pair or two made in a fine wool when I'm on holiday in SE Asia next month.

Of course, that will ensure that hipster bootlegs will be all the rage!

I think if you have found a style that suits you (and if you are happy ignoring what is in fashion) then I would go for it DearDeirdre. Or go for it anyway as they may come back into fashion in the future!

I am sticking resolutely to 7/8 tapered, high waisted styles (am a tall, slim hourglass) as they seem to suit me best.

I agree sigh if something suits us then fashion takes a back seat. I’m sticking with my skinnies.

I'm planning on wide legs when it's dry and tapered when it's wet.

I’ve earmarked 2 jumpers I want to order & surprisingly I think they’d look good with blue jeans (I never wear blue jeans) but might wait a couple of weeks before I order anything as only 5 days post-partum & I still look 6m pregnant 🙈

I keep buying deep red stuff and said earlier I’ll spend winter looking like a plum, but it’s a lovely colour.
