@ella, have a fab holiday :)

neveradullmoment99 · 05/08/2019 22:53

Its so quiet on here today! Noone with more purchases? Certainly not me!!! Although have been browsing but not buying and now am totally put off by Toast and all the carryon with @cherries.

Ellapaella · 05/08/2019 22:57

Well I ordered a dress from Joanie which won't come until tomorrow, I won't get my delivery slot until 11am so if it's going to be after we've left I'm not sure what I'll do.. I'll find a link

Ellapaella · 05/08/2019 23:01

https://joanieclothing.com/lotta-botanical-garden.html

Have no idea what it'll be like, was a bit of a punt.. just so cheap in the sale and I thought the style might suit my body shape. I struggle with dresses. I'm quite flat chested and find dresses can be quite tricky. They often make my tummy look like it's sticks out further than my chest. We'll see.

neveradullmoment99 · 05/08/2019 23:17

It pretty and a very good price. I think it will suit you :)

Binkybix · 06/08/2019 07:25

I like it :)

neveradullmoment99 · 06/08/2019 08:50

Extra 10% off sale items @ hush if anyone interested. I may just have ordered a few things just to try.

neveradullmoment99 · 06/08/2019 08:52

I ordered the maud bag as its lovely and matching scarf. Also a skirt with fluro animal print and retrying the black jumpsuit.

SoyYo · 06/08/2019 11:03

I got the Maud bag @never arrived yesterday and tempted to reorder with extra 10%off. It’s a keeper!

SoyYo · 06/08/2019 11:43

I Love the dress Ella!
So my Hush order in its entirety is going back once I receive the 2 keepers replacements with the xtra 10% off.
Keepers were a v neck slub T in fluorescent yellow (yes really!) the colour suits my skin tone and it’ll also go nicely with my colour multistripe Hush marina skirt, and the Maud bag which is lovely supple leather and really a bargain just under £40.
Returned: leopard sleeveless linen T (shapeless on me/much prefer the short sleeve turquoise linen T I already have), and the white lace maxi dress. I’m not posting a pic because it looks terrible. It’s super generous, I tried a 10 (1 size down from usual Hush) and plenty of room. Plus points: beautiful pure cotton, the cotton lace is gorgeous and its Best Fe suture, colour is off white rather than brilliant white so that’s nice too and it wasn’t too long for me at 5’ 3” and could have worn barefoot. Minus points: very frumpy if you’re well endowed as it just emphasises big boobs despite the v neck, it’s more of an expensive beach cover up imho unless you’re small up top in which case it could work. The modesty slip is pure cotton but not sown in rather a separate slip, a bit fiddly to be honest when you just want to throw a dress on and go.
I scratched the itch so pleased to save £89 on a dress that’s imho a bit overpriced...back it goes!

While I was reordering the keepers with the xtra 10% off a maxi ombré linen dress fell in my basket and the hoody striped jumper that is obviously a return as it’s been ooo for ages. Both in M which may be too generous...we’ll see Hmm

SoyYo · 06/08/2019 11:47

Best feature not suture 😁

Laska2Meryls · 06/08/2019 12:03

Well I have reordered the fringe detail skirt in green . Annoying that it's more expensive than it was on BA a while agobut they didn't have my size and I wear the black one lots also free postage and extra 10 helped..
Id get the Paula skirt if it was inmy size but sadly not ..

grannycake · 06/08/2019 12:39

I have fallen off the no spend bench and ordered the navy trousers and the black culottes for work along with the off white shirt from the new collection. The shirt will probably be returned as they never look good on me - I should know this by now but still keep trying as I love the idea of the "perfect" white shirt.
Only other thing I have bought is a shoe stretcher from Amazon - am in the process of stretching the right shoe of all my many pairs in the hope that at least some of them become wearable.

dontcallmelen · 06/08/2019 12:50

Ella happy holidays.
Soy least you scratched the itch on the white dress, I sort of fell off the bench as a pair of sandals I ordered from next in the sale came yesterday, I’d forgotten about them & a stripey T-shirt dress from H&M only 12.99 & a white l/s linen jumper which was 12.99, definitely manacled to the bench now for a good while 😳

BerniceBobsHerHair · 06/08/2019 17:04

Hello - just jumping in (again!) to ask what the extra 10% off code is?

twosoups1972 · 06/08/2019 17:19

I think it’s extra10 @bernice

I may have ordered a few things just to try too Grin

NotAnActualSheep · 06/08/2019 19:05

Aaaaah - the thread's back. For some reason I haven't been able to get on MN at all for the past couple of days. And then I could, but it disappeared again before I could catch up and post anything. Ah well - I've been very productive...

cherries - hope your time in London is going well! So lovely your DD could come to spend some time with you - even if you're not going to see much of each other! And sorry you're still having Toast Issues. I'm still lusting after stuff - but I'm going to think twice before ordering online from them again (and going into an actual shop makes it a bit easier to just walk away, without buying anything - sometimes..)

ella - hope your dress arrived before you left for your holiday! It is such a pretty print. Hope you have a fab time anyway.

binky - I know what you mean on the star culottes - they are high waisted - but, even though I'm very pear shaped, I kind of like that. I think its the hip: waist ratio thing - you're right! Also they are kind of like wearing pyjamas, but smarter than pyjamas. I really like them Grin and am wearing them at the moment (cos my jeans got rained on earlier and were soaked through - so I changed...)

soy - such a shame the miss havisham white lace dress wasn't right for you Sad . I know you've had your eye on it for ages! But, yes, at least you've scratched that itch. And glad you found some things that are keepers. The yellow tee sounds great - yellow would go perfectly with that striped marina and is such a happy colour. Hope the "fallen into the basket" things are a success too...always worth a go!

granny - lol at the shoe stretching! I know it sounds unglamorous, but if you can stretch them enough, think of all the lovely shoes you'll be able to wear again and not want to rip your feet off by the end of the day Grin . You'll have a whole new shoe wardrobe.

Liking the sounds of the last minute sale buys never and laska . Sounds like they will be useful. I'm afraid i fell off the bench too len (sorry!). I reordered the knitted green hoodie which I tried earlier in the season, but I thought was just a bit pricey at £60 (and also the one i had had a pulled thread). Now its £45 (or £40.50 with the discount) which is much better. But I'll be on the lookout for loose threads. Also I wanted the cropped star leggings that soy had for pilates, but they'd sold out of the M - so I thought I'd try the cropped harems as an alternative. I think someone said they were a disaster (?) but thought I'd give them a go. I actually prefer looser trousers for pilates, as long as they don't flop up my leg, and I'm fed up with full length, sweatiness at the moment!

Binkybix · 06/08/2019 19:16

I love how everyone slowly creeps out of the woodwork confessing to their purchases😄

sheep - didn’t realise you were a fellow star culotte wearer. !

SoyYo · 06/08/2019 19:27

Yes binky we are all suckers for a bargain Hush last minute purchase! I can literally hear all the thuds of people falling off the bench today Grin
I look forward to hearing what you think of your latest bargains and not I’ve just returned home from Pilates and the starry leggings are my favourite (I wear with a long line Hush vest which is mini skirt length on me and a v neck T shirt on top). They’re perfect for Pilates as they’re mainly cotton and only a bit of elastase and this time of year much less sweat inducing than the usual exercise leggings in man made fabric. Try an S (mine are S) as they’re stretchy and I think M would be too big for you.
Lol on the Miss Havisham look! Total Fail Grin but I’m glad I scratched the itch or I’d have been wondering forever.

SoyYo · 06/08/2019 19:29

Also @NotAnActualSheep I owe you an apology on the lentil recipe. I’ll go post it on the other Hushista diet thread this eve (I’m doing a lentil chilli tonight).

NotAnActualSheep · 06/08/2019 20:03

Thanks soy! And feckit...in for a penny and all. I've just ordered the S in the leggings. I think they may be a bit small, as I am usually an M bottom in hush (at least the Ms fit fine...so never tried smaller) but worth a go!

No worries about the lentil recipe. I've lost that thread now, but will find it again. Was feeling guilty as the others on it are being so good, and I'm here eating my mahoosive baked potato...(and some of DSs chips, which are a totally necessary side order for a baked potato...).

dontcallmelen · 06/08/2019 20:13

😂 at us all spectacular falling off bench, I have been good though & not even peeked at hush 😇
Still full house here at chezLen, but looking likely they can rent a new bungalow as from late next week, just finalising agreement/details.
But then it’s the headache of removals & storage as flat has to be emptied before floors/work can start.
Dgd hasn’t batted an eyelid & hasn’t mentioned when they can go home & every time she goes out, she says “I won’t be long be back soon Nana don’t worry”😂

SoyYo · 06/08/2019 20:55

Bless you Len! What a crazy time you’re having of it all! Your DGD of course is super happy to be with you, honestly reminds me of me and my adorable DGM. Brace yourself! Once of my favourite tricks when I got to my early teens was to fall out with my DM, pack my bags and...move to my grandparents Grin (mum told me years later she’d telephone and say “sorry...she’s on her way to yours again). Really it was a mutual adoration society.
Please show us your latest falloffthebench bargains when you get a free moments peace, and have a Gin. I wish you patience Wink

not glad you ordered leggings in S. they are stretchy so I hope you’ll be pleasantly surprised 👌

NotAnActualSheep · 06/08/2019 21:21

Oh goodness len! Glad they have found a place, but, yes, it'll take some time to actually move everything there. What a palaver. Lol at your DGD. Sooooo cute BearStar. She obviously has the right idea!! She'll be doing a soy as soon as she's old enough!

Huffthepuff · 06/08/2019 21:51

Well I'm feeling very virtuous reading about all your sale purchases 😇 I haven't succumbed even tho I'd love to order the Oban espadrilles with the extra 10% off

Keeping just one (very expensive) item from my latest Stitchfix haul. A glorious tunic from Free People. The rest has gone back along with a dress from New Look.

Shame about the white dress Soy but yes, good to scratch the itch. Glad some of the other bits have been a success
