Wow cherries ! Lucky you! At least you can see if it is as lovely as it looks. I think it would go really well with the long sleeved kensington, actually, even though it is navy rather than black. I reckon navy goes with everything...
taybert - yes, the cord chinos are lovely. They are the only things from the new season that I was really tempted by, until I saw the new kensington dress...(well, those, and the Alexis grey v neck jumper..). But I do have some long cropped cord trousers in basically the same colour that I got in the Jan sales (yes, toast ones
), so I should wear those more really! I know what you mean about styling them though. I reckon your suggestions of a "narrow-ankled" boot would work that you could roll up the trousers to just below the top of the boot. Or even flat shoes/ brogues (?) with socks? Glittery socks seemed to be "in" last year which were good. I'm not one to advise though, as I have a Fear of cold ankles, so usually chicken out and just have full length trousers...
huff - yes, the slogans. Why?! I don't generally want to wear a random word. It's very seldom going to be the word that sums up the day for me...Though I did succumb to both the "happy" and "lucky" tees, cos they were cheap and nice colours. Though the former made DH ask me if I was wearing it ironically, and the latter I have only worn with a jacket, so you can only see the "uck" (which I realise may be giving entirely the wrong impression).
never - hahaha - Glad to meet someone else who does the dress thing! I thought I was strange too!
laska - ouch, ouch, ouch... Hope the wine is helping.
