I mean the toast one. Its probably hideous! I ordered it in the ruby red. I wouldn't suit the other colour.

neveradullmoment99 · 22/08/2019 18:09

I envisage wearing it in a 70's retro style with black leather fitted knee length boots with a chunky heel. [I already have a pair!]

neveradullmoment99 · 22/08/2019 18:10

Or Victorian lace up boots. [which I don't have!]

neveradullmoment99 · 22/08/2019 18:10

Or even better, my dm's

dontcallmelen · 22/08/2019 18:29

never I love that chevron dress, reckon it will suit you.
I would love a pair of lace up Victorian style boots as well 🤔 if any such thing will be in the shops soon.

neveradullmoment99 · 22/08/2019 19:00

Thanks @melen. I will post a picture of it unless its completely awful!

NotAnActualSheep · 22/08/2019 20:03

Oh no - what a shame cherries. But, you're right, they would need to be extra-perfect for that money, and it doesn't sound as if they were even that good for you.

len yes, I AM manacled to the bench, but I can dream.... But seriously, I've got so many clothes and not enough days to wear them as it is! I really need to stop buying more... And though the dress is lovely (I have the duckegg Kensington from last year and wear it a fair amount and love it) I just don't really have the opportunity to wear dresses enough to merit another one... 😭 Also, I'm still considering the toast denim pinafore one at some point as an investment, that I think will be more versatile... But not yet...

never ooooh, glad you went for that dress in the end! You definitely had an itch that needed scratching Wink. It is lovely colours. I think it'll either be great, or just be far too much material... Hard to know...(that per una dress was definitely the latter on me). I think you have some fab ideas for styling it though, so it doesn't look too "little house on the prairie"!

ilovecherries · 22/08/2019 21:06

Has anyone noticed they have a long sleeve Kensington now?

The Toast one is lovely, never I am still hung up on the checked Japanese trousers and dress..

I know they will go in a sale , but (stamps feet!) I want them now!! I reckon ill crack pretty soon) . I want the charcoal looped back jumper also.. I am wearing the rust one a lot

Laska2Meryls · 23/08/2019 09:07

I didn't have the Toast cotton Twill , not but yes they do look a bit of an odd shape.. I feel a trip to JL is on the cards though, id like to have a good Toast try on!

Laska2Meryls · 23/08/2019 09:12

Is this the pinafore you are thinking of Never ?
I love it! sadly pinafore dont really work with my boobage...

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 09:33

@Laska It was not that was looking for a pinafore. I bought the toast one already but not that one. This is the one I have
toast pinny

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 09:36

I do like the one you have posted @Laska2Meryls but I haven't worn the one I have yet!!!

Laska2Meryls · 23/08/2019 09:44

but then the chevron dress is £££ too

I have ordered the Japanese trousers and charcoal top! .. ill curse if they have an autumn sale as those trousers are rally expensive, but i am in love with them...
I love the Japanese dress also but I can wait for a sale for that

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 09:55

Oh laska, I am excited by your purchases!!!
Yes the dress is very 'me' I agree. WStuff had one similar for a fraction of the price. I may order it!!

Laska2Meryls · 23/08/2019 10:00

Its a 10. I ordered the 12 but it will be yoo big.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 10:18

So the positives. Its beautiful and I really like it.
The negatives. Its expensive, not lined [which i am pretty shocked about as the material is summer thin. Think the tiered paisley and lasatly will I wear it? - Does it fit my life? Would I wear it to work? Is it OTT?

Laska2Meryls · 23/08/2019 10:24

oh my! that is GORGEOUS .. how do you get it so quickly?
Not lined is a surprise.. could you get a cami on under it if you needed to ?

justilou1 · 23/08/2019 10:24

It’s gorgeous, @never, but as it’s not lined, how practical is it? (Absolutely adorable though.... can you wear thermals underneath?)

Laska2Meryls · 23/08/2019 10:26

or a thin T? it would need to be able to work for autumn, and those sleeves it might be hard to wear a cardi over perhaps ?

neveradullmoment99 · 23/08/2019 10:29

The winter wouldn't be too much of an issue tbh. I have a various slips. I always wear a cardigan so that's not and issue and I am always warm atm - menopausal hot flushes. I steer clear of jumpers atm.
But..what on earth are Toast thinking about not putting a lining in. I imagined it to be quite a heavy dress.
Glad you all like it. The postal service here is really quick @laska. I ordered it and I have next day delivery and my post comes around 10am.
