No, I had to wear those blister heel plasters and thick socks for about three weeks. I also bought the wonder balm which helps to soften the leather. With blister plasters they were absolutely fine, no actual blisters developed!

Laska2Meryls · 21/08/2019 09:54

Hi all , nothing much to report here,
Cherries did you try dyeing that shirt? If its cotton it would work, but the stitching is most likely to be polyester, and so won't dye so only ok if you want a contrast.
Not Toast jumper is lovely but yeas I hadn't thought of thr the practicalities of the sleeves hmm may wait until sale time for that then.
Ella love the boden coat and the biker boots ..
So no parcels coming my way 😪 but I m still lusting after those Toast trousers and dress..
.

Laska2Meryls · 21/08/2019 09:56

Maybe payday .. ( but sensible part of me saying 'wait for the next sale'.) Does Toast ever have an autumn sale do we know?

Nanasueathome · 21/08/2019 11:02

Toast have regular sales
You just have to wait and they will reduce everything

Nanasueathome · 21/08/2019 11:03

I’ve never paid full price at Toast

dontcallmelen · 21/08/2019 11:47

Nothing to report here either, avoiding the slew of emails with sale offerings & going to yet again cull clothes & see do I really need any jumpers/coat for the colder weather, determined to stay on no spend bench until at least October halo currently being buffed up😂

ilovecherries · 21/08/2019 12:07

I bought running shorts for holiday. That FEELS virtuous! I usually run in Capri tights in the summer here, but decided I would probably be too hot in them, and use that as an excuse not to run. They are somewhat loud though!

You don’t need the full view but don your sunnies to appreciate my running shorts. They give new meaning to ‘pants on fire’

Laska2Meryls · 21/08/2019 12:17

🤣🤣.. well impressed.. ( as we say darn sarf). The old cherries would never have worn those 👏👏

ilovecherries · 21/08/2019 12:19

I don’t really think the new cherries does either, but I bought a nice pair of black Nike’s yesterday and a) didn’t have a pocket so ended up having to carry my key in my hand and b)spent a lot of time removing them from various orifices. I’m assured by other users that these never budge!

OP posts:
dontcallmelen · 21/08/2019 12:26

Yy well impressed 👏 & definitely pants on fire in a good way.

SoyYo · 21/08/2019 13:10

Badass shorts cherries! 😍

justilou1 · 21/08/2019 13:19

Hi Ladies! Just popped in from assignment land to see how everyone is and had to do a massive double-take when I spied @ilovecherries’ shorts first on my feed! (Great pins, though!!!) Loving everyone’s shopping! I went back to the boho outlet store and bought another dress. It’s very fancy.... will get another photo when every hole in my head is not leaking ick. (Dry, desert winds bringeth much dust!!!) Most of this city is functioning on antihistamines, and not enough body lotion in the world will help reptilian skin!

noodlezoodle · 21/08/2019 17:31

Hmm thanks Ella, hadn't thought of pre-emptive blister plasters!

Cherries those shorts are fantastic! I use a FlipBelt when I'm running - good for keys and phone and the newer ones have a zip which is more secure than the old ones.

twosoups1972 · 21/08/2019 17:33

Hello lovely friends,

Just trying to keep up with all the new clothes. I've been busy after receiving from Disneyland, getting dd1ready to start at her new college and trying to keep dd2 calm for her GCSE results tomorrow.

@Laska2Meryls love it all, you look great

@SoyYo the WS things are lovely, I haven't shopped there for a while but sometimes they have some great buys.

@ilovecherries I LOVE your running shorts, so much more interesting than my boring black ones. I did a run yesterday for the first time in ages, dd1 came with me. I didn't push myself too much, I did 2 x 10min runs which was enough. I need to start going more regularly like I used to.

Nothing particularly exciting clothes-wise to report here, I changed the MV jeans you all thought quite rightly were too big. I managed to get a slightly different style which fit much better and am happy with those. Bought a jumpsuit from Hobbs which I have yet to try on and still undecided about the Hush jumpsuit.

dontcallmelen · 22/08/2019 08:53

Soups hope all goes well with results today🤞🏻

Laska2Meryls · 22/08/2019 10:18

Off over the water again, today wearing new olive Chamonix ,hush olive vest top and bright pink Boden linen shirt over. With my gold salties..

neveradullmoment99 · 22/08/2019 11:38

Sound like a very nice outfit @Laska2Meryls

neveradullmoment99 · 22/08/2019 11:39

I am wearing my blue hush dungarees and a neat khaki 3/4 sleeve tee and novesta plimsoles!

dontcallmelen · 22/08/2019 12:20

Ooh lovely outfits, I’m in shorts & vest top currently cleaning/organising kitchen cupboards & wishing I hadn’t started.

NotAnActualSheep · 22/08/2019 13:47

ooooh cherries - love the shorts! They are really nice colours, and will definitely encourage you out running in the heat! How were your toast twill trousers in the end? Were they the pull on ones? (I'm considering those for when I'm off the bench, or possibly the cord ones, though the reviews on those are BAD - though they are ££££££££££...def need to wait for the sale). Am impressed with nanasue's basket, though! that is some serious fantasy buying...

ella - beautiful coat, I agree! That will be great for the autumn/ winter, and its such a nice shape. Also love nink's bell sleeved coat and the gorgeous yellow top ([waves] by the way - nice to see you!).

gin and len -you're being very productive! Well done both of you... And soups - yy, hope all has gone well with DDs exams.

justi - urgh. That sounds pretty bad. Hope the weather is being a bit less windy/ dusty now. Not much fun..

laska and never - lovely sounding outfits. You're always so well put-together.

I realised why I was feeling so bad earlier in the week. Huge, sod-off cold. Bahhhhhh. Hopefully it'll bugger off soon. Still on the bench - though I confess i did put the red flowery Kensington in my bag twice earlier (not sure if that is new - didn't see it last week when I looked at the new stuff) - but I really don't need it and I spent soooo much on the striped swing jumper I need to make some non-purchases, so i can tell myself that by not buying it, I have actually saved money...

ilovecherries · 22/08/2019 14:51

not, yes, the pull on cotton twill. I bought two sizes and neither was right, so they are packed up waiting to go back to JL. The 12 was baggy in the crotch, and the waist nearly reached my bra, the 10 I had to wriggle to get them over my hips, and the legs just felt too tight - and a bit short. I couldn’t really see £95 worth, really.

OP posts:
dontcallmelen · 22/08/2019 17:52

Just hope the assignments are going well & dust has abated now sounds really hard work, look forward to pics of dress.
Not ooh noo summer colds are the pits, hope you feel better very soon, step away from the hush basket I thought you were going to be superglued & manacled to the bench with me😂

dontcallmelen · 22/08/2019 17:54

cherries crikey they don’t sound great for £95.00 must be oddly made.

neveradullmoment99 · 22/08/2019 18:06

I am sure @laska ordered them and found them a poor fit too.
I have ordered The chevron dress Blush Just to try mind you. Its probably completely hideous but I really wanted to see it in real life!
