Hello from a verrrry soggy Scotland. Am on outfit no 3 as have got soaked through the other two. But still rather muggy and warm. Yuk. Am hoping ella is managing a bit better when camping, or it'd be a bit grim...
justi - (Hope your head has recovered from the
) I must say, I'm really impressed at you going back to college and having to deal with coursework again...that sounds hard. I remember doing coursework at such an intense pace and it's pretty grim. (And I didn't have to deal with getting DC to do their own). Sympathies! Am also excited to see the fairy shoes, and your summer dresses
So glad you've found a sympathetic derm too, and the treatment sounds promising. I reckon you should own the facial hair, and grow a big twirly moustache that you can style like this dude.
gin - how exciting about the potential move! But yes, I know what you mean about MN rabbit holes eating time. Sounds like you've been really productive though.
never - hope you have managed to get through today OK. I know what you mean about sometimes needing to go back to sleep almost as soon as you get up. I think the weather has a lot to do with it - its been really odd here today and I've been really lethargic too. Glad you are keeping the dress and jumpsuit - I think they were probably the best of your haul, but I really liked the skirt on you too
. And the bag/ scarf went really well together.... Though I know what you mean - if you can't keep everything, there is no point having them for the sake of it (I need to work on the same principle...)
len - yy, sounds like a lot of work, but at least things are on the move, and they have somewhere to move to. You'll have your house back to yourself in no time
. Love the funky raffia sandals.
laska - love that skirt and the checked shirt too (esp with your hair)! You don't look bumpy at all. I actually think I prefer the skirt with the green top - it really brings out the colours.
My last min sale haul was a bit of a mixed bag (and quite a green bag, as it turned out....hadn't noticed that I'd been attracted to the green stuff so much!). Unfortunately the star leggings were a bit small. They physically fit onto me, but were stretched across the legs a bit too much, so you could see the white "backing" of the fabric and they looked a bit shiny. However, the cropped joggers are rather nice (though wouldn't pay full price) - just a bit different for lounging. I'm not in love with the pale grey though so may dye them too. I fancy purple. I'm going to keep the knitted hoodie as it is so soft and lovely - though it is enormous (not in a bad way) and I'm almost certainly going to catch it on something as soon as i wear it out of the house. Also the green raglan top which was £18 (I have a pale blue and wine colour and wear them lots) and the blue embroidered "lucky" tee, which is paper thin, but a really pretty colour and I like the deep scoop neckline. But I'm sending back the two "jackets" (they are cardigans really) - one in a green marl and one a lovely cobalt/black mix. I keep ordering them thinking they are going to be really useful, but the shape or something just doesn't seem to work very well on me. And they just seem oddly "formal" somehow, which doesn't really work for the rest of my wardrobe at the moment (esp as I don't need "work" clothes). Pity, as they are bargains and would be really good going into autumn.
