This summer I decided to be tan. Its changed my life.

Well.... Not changed my life. But certainty changed my self image for the better.

It's true what they say - tanned fat is a lot nicer looking than pasty fat.

This summer I've been using tanning drops in my body lotion 3 or 4 times a week. My legs are a mass of spider veins, but the colour makes them less obvious and I've worn a denim skirt a lot this summer for the first time in years. Yesterday I bought denim shorts!!!

Ive started using it in my face moisturiser and whilst I still need something for the dark circles, I look a hell of a lot better without makeup.

My arms look lovely, all warm and sleek.

3 different people have asked me if I've lost weight. I haven't!

It's startling how different this summer has been just because of this one thing. I feel like one of those other women now. Those women you see wearing shorts and sleeveless tops who always looked so healthy. Maybe this was their secret all along and nobody told me???

What drops do you use x

Ditso · 28/07/2019 12:28

I also want to know what drops you use!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 28/07/2019 12:29

I've done the same OP. Years and years I've missed out in feeling confident enough to wear shorts and sleeveless tops when it's hot.

formerbabe · 28/07/2019 12:30

Fake tan seems to attract lot of hate on here but that's the really blatant badly applied kind. I swear loads of people use it and no one even realises. I agree it's a game changer, I look ten times better with it.

InFiveMins · 28/07/2019 12:30

Let us know which tanning drops you're using OP, I'm going to start doing the same thing as came back from holiday with a lovely tan and felt much more confident with my arms and legs showing, so I want to try having a bit of a tan all year round if I can.

userxx · 28/07/2019 12:31

Is it paradise island?

ElspethFlashman · 28/07/2019 12:33

The Isle of Paradise ones in Light.

I'm really white so the Medium ones where too obvious. But the Light ones are absolutely foolproof and really natural on me. But would probably not be dark enough for some. But I just want to look warmed up, I don't need to look brown if you know what I mean. I just want an everyday healthy warmth.

I want to know what drips you’ve used as well! I’m so pale, but I’m too scared to use normal fake tan in case I end up orange or stripey Sad

ElspethFlashman · 28/07/2019 12:35

(But if you are more sallow, the Medium ones would probably be more satisfying for you - I'm just a pink little piglet)

Do you have to wear gloves to apply?

ElspethFlashman · 28/07/2019 12:40

See how natural? I am usually closer to the colour of the wall!

But you also see what I mean that the Light wouldn't be dark enough for some. Makes a huge difference to me though.

This summer I decided to be tan. Its changed my life.

Looks great OP, really natural. Going to get some Grin

timeisnotaline · 28/07/2019 12:43

This is my summer plan too- but I worry that mixing it with moisturiser means it will come off on clothes & sheets, is this a problem?

Delatron · 28/07/2019 12:45

Isle of Paradise fake tan is amazing. Far better than any colour I achieve through the sun. I use the mousse and a glove.

It doesn’t stain the sheets or smell. It’s the best I’ve ever used and I used to be a St Tropez girl!

sirmione16 · 28/07/2019 12:48

Wondering what kind of position you're in to take that photo Grin haha! But agree it looks great

ElspethFlashman · 28/07/2019 12:52

I'm lying on DS's bed as he plays with cars on the carpet! 😂

You don't need gloves with the drops. You just have to wash your hands afterwards.

Oh and you have to use some scrubby sponge in the shower (as with all tans) or it clings to any dry skin you may have. So you have to be smooth as a nut. But that helps with the whole "sleek" appearance too and exfoliation was definitely something I was neglecting before, so no harm.

Is it easy to use? I've been looking at this recently, you just mix with your normal moisturiser? How long does a bottle last? Sorry for the questions!

namechanger0064 · 28/07/2019 12:54

Isle of paradise is fantastic. I've been using the spray but more recently the drops - they're much better! Couldn't recommend them highly enough!

ElspethFlashman · 28/07/2019 12:55

I haven't had any sheet problems. I have had with conventional tans before but not this. Maybe cos this is so diluted? I dunno.

I find it takes fully 5 mins to dry in. But only 5 mins. And I'm always post-shower and putting stuff in my hair during that time anyway.

Thankyou! Have just ordered online.

LegionOfDoom · 28/07/2019 13:04

Your legs do look really nice in that picture

ItchySeveredFoot · 28/07/2019 13:12

As a pasty girl who needs to take better care of herself I'm intrigued by your picture! Your legs look great. And I've just had a look through their website and they're vegan so guilt free.

bigmap · 28/07/2019 13:17

This sounds like a game changer. So do you fully scrub it off every time you're in the shower and then reapply? Do you apply every day?
