Oh i'm sure MM will come too. I recon it'll be earlier than tomorrow with the ''They came separately ... ooh errr'' stuff Grin

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/07/2019 12:54

Apparently Kate is having lunch with the Wimbledon powers that be, as she's the patron. I wonder if she'll present the trophy or they'll stick with old faithful, the Duke of Kent?

OP posts:
Paradyning · 13/07/2019 12:55

I imagine they'll have travelled from completely different directions.

Paradyning · 13/07/2019 12:55

Reckon they'll stick with the DoK and be quietly wishing they could get Kate to do it

Labrodite · 13/07/2019 12:57

Sorry, I meant I’m sure the negative stories will come, not MM. I wasn’t clear!

Paradyning · 13/07/2019 12:58

I wonder how her hair doesn't go frizzy. Love to know what product she uses.

Those shoes are awful though. If she's going to wear courts, again, I think her suede versions would give a softer look imo. I know others have disagreed with me on this in the past.

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/07/2019 12:58

Yeah, they can't exactly say "thanks for your years of service, now eff orf, we've got someone more glam" can they?

OP posts:
QueenOfTheAndals · 13/07/2019 13:00

I think I heard she arrived with Pippa.

Kate and Pippa could sit in the royal box and completely ignore Meghan and the Mail would still find a reason to blame her for it!

Ninkaninus · 13/07/2019 13:00

I agree, suede courts would be much nicer. In a more interesting colour than nude.

Labrodite · 13/07/2019 13:03

I have similar really thick hair to Kate and it’s a nightmare to have long and down because it’s always in my face, I don’t know how she does it.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 13/07/2019 13:04

It would be nice to see Kate, Pippa & Meghan watch the match together and have some fun.
Kate’s dress is a Wimbledon shade of green. I guess she’s dressed smartly as she’s having lunch as a patron, so is looking business like.
Not keen on the shoes. She should have gone for a t bar like Beatrice’s in a neutral suede.

I hate to say it but Kate is looking knackered and very thin. I bet she can’t wait to escape up to Anmer and put her jeans on and relax with the kids ( and lots of staff).
Surely after tomorrow’s final, that’s got to be it in terms of engagements.

PCohle · 13/07/2019 13:05

I think the green really suits her but I'm not a fan of the fussiness in the arm/collar she seems to really favour in dresses.

I do wonder why, with all the scrutiny they're under, they chose to arrive separately. They must have known how it would be construed.

TSSDNCOP · 13/07/2019 13:07

Live that colour on her. Good dress for the day as it’s a bit overcast, perhaps not in sw19. That lady that’s married to the chap who runs a Wimbledon has cracked me up with her ability to bomb every photo this week.

If we listen carefully I’m sure we will be able to hear DM features writers cracking their knuckles ready to write an afternoon of utter bolleaux.

Pieceofpurplesky · 13/07/2019 13:07

As patron Kate is there for lunch, therefore they arrive at different time

itswinetime · 13/07/2019 13:08

Can't find any pics of pippa (I know she's not royal) to tide us over so if they did arrive together they have kept it quiet I'm guessing to try and prevent the negative stories 🙄

Ninkaninus · 13/07/2019 13:09

Probably because Kate is patron and had official engagements to attend, and Meghan likely doesn’t? And because if you start trying to live your official life to please the utter idiots that believe all that nonsense and get so invested in the rubbish, you’d just have to give up entirely as they’re not rational by any means?

BertrandRussell · 13/07/2019 13:09

“I do wonder why, with all the scrutiny they're under, they chose to arrive separately. They must have known how it would be construed.”

Do you indeed. Hmm

Labrodite · 13/07/2019 13:10

It would be nice to see Kate, Pippa & Meghan watch the match together and have some fun That would be great to see, have we seen Pippa there today?

I didn’t think of Kate’s dress being Wimbledon green! She’s going for theme dressing again Grin

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/07/2019 13:10

I seem to remember Kate and Meghan greeting the ball girls and umpires etc together last year but Kate was on maternity leave so maybe didn't attend the lunch.

OP posts:
TSSDNCOP · 13/07/2019 13:12

What I’d like to see is a row of DOS, DOC, Zara, Pippa, Beatrice and Eug cracking into the PIMMS, leading the crowd in a Mexican wave and having a wonderful laugh together. Then pan to the DM newsroom where Amanda Platell and Piers Morgan are contemplating a blank page and how to pay the school fees.

UrsulaPandress · 13/07/2019 13:14

They'd be coming from different directions. And Meghan probably wants to leave home as late as possible.

BertrandRussell · 13/07/2019 13:16

I wonder what Serena will wear. I haven’t liked her dresses this Wimbledon.

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/07/2019 13:16

We can but hope @TSSDNCOP...

OP posts:
PCohle · 13/07/2019 13:16

Not sure what your point is Bertrand? I do wonder!

It seems like a dodgy PR move but I imagine it is dictated by practicalities as others have suggested.

itswinetime · 13/07/2019 13:17

I do wonder why, with all the scrutiny they're under, they chose to arrive separately. They must have known how it would be construed.

That Meghan would rather spend time at home with her husband and son than attend a lunch for a charity she isn't patron of..... I know what you saying but the press are determined to sell the rift narrative nothing they do will change that so I don't see why they should have to change their plans the story will be twisted whatever happens.
