And I think we all can agree that it's much more fun if we stick to critiquing the clothes rather than the women!

Spud If I was Kate I would also be mindful of the fact that William when he was 8 or 9 got whacked on the head with a golf club & had to go to hospital for treatment.
So yes it would be a little stressful.

BertrandRussell · 10/07/2019 18:30

“I hate that she has to be used to give them good PR and to pretend that everything is OK. ”

As others have said- if this is a PR set up it’s a pretty shit one!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 10/07/2019 18:51

Can you imagine the furore if they had been watching from different places instead of together? I think they both probably realised there wasn't any choice. Hopefully they get on fine now they have Archie to bond over. I certainly wouldn't read anything into some rapid fire pap shots.

Thedarklady · 10/07/2019 18:52

My comment was a joke @BertrandRussell

Spudlet · 10/07/2019 18:56

Thedarklady Grin

EleanorReally · 10/07/2019 19:03

William is tall so no doubt George will also be

StarsBright · 10/07/2019 19:06

Thedarklady was parodying comments about Meghan/Kate appearing together for good PR by making a joke about Kate using her children for PR Grin I laughed

BertrandRussell · 10/07/2019 19:11

Sorry @thesarklady. I think I lost touch with reality for a moment!

GlamGiraffe · 10/07/2019 19:12

That is such a strange way to hold a baby isn't it? I wonder if MM was holding him the whole time ir was just lapped during the holding moments. Although if shex wasnt holding him constantly it wouldn't make sense there?are no pics of her outfit.
Judging by the Wimbledon clothes she's no that big so it was a surprise she was wearing something so oversized. I didn't thinkthe most flattering.
Loved K dress.ithinkthat shapereally suits her body. I think she's probably very outdoorsy and is pretty used to the polo thing with kids so probably isn't as bothered as we might be. I think she looks quite chilled. I think M looks far more uncomfortable. Probably income boobs, small baby, hot day, maybe not yet used to English weird things like horses accompanied by hammers on sticks whacking balls about surrounded by loads of appreciative toffs etc.
I bet Charlotte is a real little trouble smaller, I suspect my DD is heading that way too. Very mischevious and bold!

StarsBright · 10/07/2019 19:20

She is holding the baby awkwardly isn’t she, but those pictures might only have been taken in the space of 5 minutes.

Agree doesn’t seem comfortable in her body going off what she’s been wearing but after two months post partum I wouldn’t either. I can see why the dress comes with a belt but it looks super comfy.

PleaseGoogleIt · 10/07/2019 19:20

The holding the baby thing is all over Twitter, but it is full of lunatics, like this person.

Thedarklady · 10/07/2019 19:22

The awkward holding pictures were either when he was moving or when she was adjusting her hold. Probably didn't last very long. There were some that looked fine.

PleaseGoogleIt · 10/07/2019 19:24

I don't think it looks awkward at all..

StCharlotte · 10/07/2019 19:32

Meghan is on olive again - how is she managing to pull off the sack-like dress though?!

I hope she pulls it off soon - it's hideous.

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/07/2019 19:38

Hah, not going to disagree @StCharlotte! It looks better belted and Kate's LKB is pretty, but neither dress looks like it cost £500 or £300. They could be from Zara or Cos for all we know!

Looking back, if I were holding a baby of two months for any length of time I would have had a muslin draped over my shoulder even if the baby hadn't fed recently (and the baby's head would have been resting on the muslin, not half way down my chest unless I were sitting on the couch). It's odd that she didn't appear to have a muslin. Babies dribble even if they don't spit up.

TSSDNCOP · 10/07/2019 19:41

Looks like fun afternoon. Mini Cambridge’s are a riot, but where was Mia and the Phillips girls to dial up the crazy?

I used to hold DS like MM is holding Archie. I’m short bodied and he was long and heavy and didn’t like to be cradled, but did like to be held.

Wetdogloveshubert · 10/07/2019 20:02

George is only a couple of days older than my dd; they look around the same height. The shorts helps though - you can see how they've 'stretched' recently!

You can see Meghan holding a muslin / blanket in a couple of the shots, so she's not unprepared. As others have said, paps don't tell the whole story, and these photos could have been taken within 5 minutes! This photo posted on Instagram shows how much we all juggle babies Grin

Clankboing · 10/07/2019 20:09

She may have had a c section? Or it may just be a split second!

PleaseGoogleIt · 10/07/2019 20:12

@mathanxiety I never used muslins with DD - I bought loads because everyone told me they were the 'must have' thing but most of them are still sat unopened in her drawers - she's barely used bibs either - she just isn't a droopy/sicky baby.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 10/07/2019 20:23

I use the muslins for face washing.

(The DCs are in their twenties by now)

Spudlet · 10/07/2019 20:30

Both the Sussex and Cambridge instagram accounts have some great polo action shots - each one with both Dukes included. V diplomatic.

NoTheresa · 10/07/2019 20:31

Why is the baby not in a proper baby holder thing?

GlamGiraffe · 10/07/2019 20:38

I bet she usually uses a baby sling so isn't used to just carrying the baby for a long period of time but didn't want to be seen out wearing one. That's why she looks more and Art.
Yes StCharlotte hideous, lets burn that dress!

BertrandRussell · 10/07/2019 20:39

“Why is the baby not in a proper baby holder thing?”

A parent’s arena are usually considered a “proper baby holder thing”.....
