And I think we all can agree that it's much more fun if we stick to critiquing the clothes rather than the women!

He did stay in his row.

Ninkaninus · 09/07/2019 15:01

Well yes - that photo where he’s sitting only proves that at that point he was taking a selfie.

Anyway I don’t think there’s any doubt that living in a goldfish bowl would grate on the most patient characters, and it’s a heavy price to pay for all the great bits (of which there are many, to be fair).

I know one thing for certain - I’d love to be filthy rich but I sure as hell would not want to be famous, nor in any way a ‘public figure’.

StarsBright · 09/07/2019 15:04

I think that is his row as far as I can see? He’s shown sitting in the same place he was standing in the picture posted above.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 09/07/2019 15:05

A year part time at Jigsaw. What about the other 9 years?

Does it matter though, really? Lucky her if she didn't have to work 9-5. She wasn't on the public payroll at that point so no skin off my nose.

BertrandRussell · 09/07/2019 15:10

Fair enough. But it’s not a role model I’d choose for my daughter.

MoreProseccoNow · 09/07/2019 15:11

Wasn't KM followed around by the press when she was working for Jigsaw? I think that's part of the reason why she gave it up?

Wetdogloveshubert · 09/07/2019 15:19

Thanks for the link, @ElspethFlashman! I'll enjoy a rummage Grin

ElspethFlashman · 09/07/2019 15:22

Prepare to lose an hour as she has all of Camillas jewellery on there too!

Disfordarkchocolate · 09/07/2019 15:44

Apologies, it may be his row but it looks like he moved along to be in front of Meghan as there is now a gap between him and the lady he was sitting next to.

frugalkitty · 09/07/2019 16:41

Elspeth your "fine piece of ass" quote is my favourite thing out of everything we've ever said on these threads!! (Not that is agree with your assessment, I'll stick to Hottie Haakon) Grin

ajandjjmum · 09/07/2019 17:00

So who is expected at Wimbledon today? I am becoming increasingly irritated by the number of empty seats that were in the Royal Box during Konta's first set.

But two front row seats are still not being used. Unless they're reserved for the Queen - out of order! Grin

BigGreenOlives · 09/07/2019 17:17

Dd said there are loads of celebs there at the moment as guests of Ralph Lauren. She’s working at W’don.

BertrandRussell · 09/07/2019 17:25

I wand some celebrities. I’m bored with the tennis.

BlingLoving · 09/07/2019 17:35

@MoreProseccoNow - yes, I remember that too. It was lucky she did have a family business to fall back on because if that was me, no matter how awful it would have been working where I was being scrutinised and papped the whole time, it would have been incredibly difficult to find an alternative.

Chelsy Davies went off to a law firm but that didn't work out for her and she's got her jewllery thing going on now. I do wonder if there was at least an element of her profile getting in the way.

ElspethFlashman · 09/07/2019 17:48

Letizia in hot pink. I do like this dress and really admire the way she manages to combine scorching temperatures and clothing appropriate for a Queen.

That said, she seems to really struggle to pass by anything leather or PVC - look at the shoes.

Also there is no getting away from it - tiny as she is, she is BEAT into that dress. Don't breathe out Letizia, don't breathe out!

You can see rib in that dress 🙈

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 09/07/2019 18:12

Love that hot pink on Leti but it is too tight - underboob wrinkle is not a good look. It looks a bit "Real Housewives".

The shoes are odd.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 09/07/2019 18:13

I mean side boob!

Wetdogloveshubert · 09/07/2019 18:57

Those shoes are worse than the ones Meghan wore to the Smart Works event.

Actually I don't mind todays ones half as much as at least Letizia isn't falling victim to the "shrinkwrapped raw chicken" look that happens when the plastic is squeezing the toes. :shudder:

Laiste · 09/07/2019 19:28

Imagine these when they steam up inside with the sweat! Ugh!

www.amazon.com/AKIRA-Womens-Through-Sneaker-Trainers/dp/B07P97HXK2?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

PVC surrounding the foot is just not a good look. Clear straps on heels are just about ok. Letizia's ones are just the straps at least.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 09/07/2019 19:58

I don't know whether those are Leti's own assets but she has that look that certain actresses have - Teri Hatcher for one - where they are emancipated except for their frontage. They can never get dresses to fit properly because they are out of proportion. Having said that she mostly looks gorgeous and I am so envious of her slim ankles.

Notmyrealname855 · 09/07/2019 20:01

Oof that’s an uncomfortable dress!!

Slightly embarrassed that I thought MM was being harassed, yes he’s clearly taking a selfie Blush

Would like to see more of the royals at Wimbledon ideally...

Ninkaninus · 09/07/2019 20:03

Heh I know, I felt a bit stupid too.

But we do know that they absolutely would get harrassed if they didn’t have security people with them, we’ve seen it many times before.
