Previous thread

And I think we all can agree that it's much more fun if we stick to critiquing the clothes rather than the women!

i agree with the post upthread about the photographer being overawed/inexperienced. I don't think his photographs are great. The one with M and H watching the fireworks is odd, Harry's leg sticks out in a very strange way. I don't think he's up to the job really. It doesn't help that the family probably felt awkward anyway .

derxa · 07/07/2019 20:50

That grey suit of Harry's is never off his back these days

NoTheresa · 07/07/2019 20:54

The smiles in the latest Christening photos are very forced. I agree that those in the Cambridge Christenings photos are lovely and genuine.

BertrandRussell · 07/07/2019 20:57

I think I would have say Doria next to Meghan on the sofa. Why on earth is DofC on a chair? Maybe Camilla’s not up to standing and it was to distract from that? Otherwise that really is very odd.

BertrandRussell · 07/07/2019 20:59

That firework picture was bizarre. Didn’t realise it was the same
photographsr....

Dora26 · 07/07/2019 21:01

Absolutely HATED Kate's outfit - crikey she is getting more mumsy by the week...perhaps a little style advice from sil!!!

Paradyning · 07/07/2019 21:06

@TSSDNCOP 'tis Andrew that says Hello Granny

BertrandRussell · 07/07/2019 21:09

Was it Snowdon or Litchfield that released those charming little videos- or someone else? Like Anne’s second wedding video- that’s lovely. And incredibly revealing.......

Japonicaflower2 · 07/07/2019 21:15

There's an enormous contrast between those christening photos and I don't think that M&H's are particularly good. Why were Diana's sisters included, seems rather incongruous to me?
I think the photo was very poor both composition wise, no one looks particularly like they're enjoying it.

beanaseireann · 07/07/2019 21:21

It was Lord Lichfield who is in the video of Zara's christening.
Who took the photos at Archies christening ?
Not well done. The gap beside Meghan on the sofa !!!
Somewhere I read that it was to "leave a space" for the much missed Diana. She was a stunning tall and slim woman but there's no way even she would have fitted in in that space so that theory doesn't wash.

Did anyone see Autumn Philips ( Zara's sil) being interviewed about Michael Parkinson on Piers Morgan Life Stories show ?
She was his assistant st one time.

BertrandRussell · 07/07/2019 21:27

Litchfield took the lovely pictures of Charles and Diana’s wedding.

It’s obviously bollocks about the space for Diana. Tell me it’s bollocks- please......

Laiste · 07/07/2019 21:34

I thought the leave a space thing was for Harry's wedding?

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 07/07/2019 21:34

2 of the Dutch Princesses and King Wax at the women’s World Cup foot ball here

Laiste · 07/07/2019 21:35

Which was nice. But they can't keep on leaving a space at events indefinitely! Confused

Bansheezus · 07/07/2019 21:37

How beautiful is Diana in this photo of herself and Harry on his christening day? I mean the hair is something else, an industrial sized vat of Elnett must have been deployed in its creation, but she looks so glam and gorgeous.

Bansheezus · 07/07/2019 21:38

Actually it's probably not his christening but still.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 07/07/2019 21:38

I think Kate pops a hair band on when she needs to look smart but hadn’t called the hairdresser in. She can blowdry her hair herself and just pull it back in the band. She was only there for an hour. Probably got changed as she arrived and was back in her jeans on the way to Anmer within the hour.

Bansheezus · 07/07/2019 21:40

Oh the space thing is hilarious if true. How far do you take it?

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/07/2019 21:41

I remember that photo @Bansheezus! The brief time when Diana had longish hair.

Hours after everyone else I've finally decided that William doesn't look frosty, more like holding a laugh in. I do wish that had balanced the picture better, such odd gaps. I think we'll see another picture in a few months. Perhaps as a Christmas card or a thank you card. What I'd like to see is a proper family card with cheesy matching Christmas jumpers.

itswinetime · 07/07/2019 21:48

I have lots to catch up on but before I loose you all I will just pop my Crown here!

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 07/07/2019 21:50

I'd like that too, and I think H&M might go for it, but HM wouldn't, not for the official card. I'm guessing they reserve that sort of thing for Christmas morning breakfast at Sandringham.😁

mathanxiety · 07/07/2019 21:58

YY to space bollocks..

AppleKatie · 07/07/2019 22:04

Harry proving there that whatever you do to glam up the mother a baby can still ruin a photo 😂

Seriously though as lovely as it is it does look extraordinarily self indulgent I can’t imagine a similar picture of either Kate or Meghan being released - and I think they’d get flack it it was.

Laiste · 07/07/2019 22:08

The top half of that pink dress is very Wallis Simpson'y i think. Is it just me? I like it.

The red shoes with the dress are quite strong. I like them too. It's odd though because in the past i feel she's often made an effort to fade back a bit when she's not top of the bill. Here this is quite an eye catching outfit.
