Do you wear short shorts?

I nipped out to the post box today (work from home) and decided not to change out of my slumming it at home and working in the garden working from home clothes as I normally would to go out, as it is only 5 minutes away. However I suddenly felt self conscious about the fact that I was wearing shorts! Cut off denim shorts about 2/3 of the way up my thighs. (It has been scorching here today).

I hated feeling self-conscious but I feel like the skin around my thighs and above my knees has got less firm recently. (i'm 39). I do exercise regularly (running, swimming and weights) and the muscles are good, just not the saggy skin on top!

How old are you and would you wear short shorts? I.e. not long "city" shorts, and not super skimpy up your bum ones, but 2/3 up the thigh type?

I wear them. Probably 7/8 of the way up my thighs.

I actually find short, short skirts more forgiving. Similar length but with built-in knickers for modesty. Stops them riding up too.

I wear very short shorts when running 😁 I’m 49 and don’t give a fuck. I sometimes wear short shorts out and about but find I’m cooler in short dresses instead.

I am nearly 40 and wear short (about 3 inches below the bottom of my bum cheeks ) denim shorts most days in the summer with flip flops or sandals and a variety of T-shirts or tops.

Nope. My legs are awful and I don't even wear skirts unless I can wear thick tights with them.

I’m late 40’s. I’m an overweight short arse (barely 5ft) so longer shorts just make me look even more dumpy. I wear what they seem to call ‘super short chino turn ups’ thatook. Dry shirt on the pictures but are probably the same length as yours or a tiny bit longer.

The fuck away’. It a flying fuck I do not give Well not after the first couple of wears each season, but once I’ve been out a couple of times (& no one has needed an ambulance called) I’m good for the summer. I don’t generally wear them to a shopping mall (but given how infrequently I go, that’s no hardship) I’d definitely wear them to the local shops.

Now if only I could feel the same about my ham like shoulders & bingo wings in sleeveless tops! Life would be cooler & nicer!

Mine are about mid thigh, fairly short shorts

I'm 49 and I wear short shorts-say covering a third of my thighs.

Also I wear a bikini-obviously not down the high street.

I don't think age should come into it.

I’m nearly 38 and love my shorts. Really don’t give any part of the tiniest crap what other people think.

I like my 3 inch shorts, definitely more flattering on shortarse me than anything longer. Any longer than that and they make my knees look horrible.

Yes. I am 47. My arms, legs and bum are good so I show them off.

My legs are crap so it's long linen trousers or floor length skirts all the way! In my younger days I used to wear grunge surfer shorts but nothing shorter than knee length!

No. Always hated them. Am a little overweight but decent legs and firm skin. Still prefer a short shift dress. But only round a pool or on a beach. Not on a pavement. Possibly because I'm nearer 60 than I'd like.

The only time I ever wear shorts is on holiday when it's really too hot to care!

I'm 43 with short, chunky legs and hideous varicose veins. I will only ever wear cropped trousers or a midi dress in the summer at home.

I am 48 and live in short shorts when I am not at work

I have quite chunky calves from playing tennis, cellulite, a few varicose veins and saggy skin around the knee area...

Yet I think I look fine, am not self conscious about them.

I've come to the conclusion that shorts, be they long or short, are few peoples friend.
I’m 53 and look my best in shorts. Had my denim cuts offs on today, they come about 1/3 down my thigh.

65 and wear them all summer - slim legs and bot!!

I am 51 and wear them. I have various. Some long for cooler days, some boyfriend ones that are mid thigh. I would not go bum cheek high but I do like shorts. I have good legs but I do have cellulite but who the hell doesn't unless you are a child or teenager.

only to run in. Otherwise I stick to sundresses unless I'm on a beach or sailing holiday.
