So I've been thinking about it for a while and today I finally did it! I don't feel any different yet, I hope I notice something tomorrow. How do others feel about themselves after a treatment and how long before you noticed a difference? I was told the result will be subtle and the aim is to look natural so fingers crossed!

A week! Thought it would be much sooner, and thought I’d noticed small changes, but once it really started working I realised I hadn’t until then

butterboo · 04/07/2019 14:01

Did anyone else notice and were you happy with the results?

Two school mum friends have had it recently at school.. one 27 and the other 38.. I remember looking at them and wondering why they looked so smooth and not tired. They look amazing. Just hope they don't go too far!

butterboo · 04/07/2019 14:24

Yes that's the look I'm hoping for! I have a couple of colleagues who I'm prettybsure have had some fillers etc Once it's obvious is that too far? haven't told anyone IRL yet haha I'm actually not massively into beauty/cosmetics etc and have a minimal routine I don't think my friends would suspect it's something I'd do..

People who have Botox look like they've had Botox. Isn't there a more natural procedure?

trackingmedown · 04/07/2019 14:49

It is so untrue that people who have Botox always look like they have. I think it might be truer to say that people who have poorly administered Botox look like they have. If you go to a good doctor it can make you look fresh and awake and still have good facial movement.

I’ve had several situations sitting in a group of people chatting when people (including my mum) have said ‘oh I can always tell when someone’s had botox/Botox always looks so fake’ only to be pulled up short when I mention I’ve been having it for years.

Good luck OP, I hope you get the results you want.

A week or two for me. Mine isn't noticeable Botox

I got Botox today for the first time
withlotsoflove · 04/07/2019 17:20

You’ve had it in your forehead Queen ?

YesQueen · 04/07/2019 17:20

@withlotsoflove v lightly in my forehead and then a shit load between my eyebrows

Lemoneeza · 04/07/2019 17:22

@YesQueen your eyebrows are lush!

YesQueen · 04/07/2019 17:30

@Lemoneeza thank you Smile they're micro pigmentation with some brow gel on top

Delatron · 04/07/2019 17:43

I need a top up! I have less than a half dose (I’m sensitive to it) between eyebrows and tiny bit around eyes but leave the crows feet by my eyes that make me look smiley. I leave one line across my forehead and I can lift eyebrows but it stops me frowning as much.

I don’t know if it’s noticeable. I forget myself until it has woken off and I wonder why I look so tired and cross.

I do think botox of years ago was overdone and badly administered. Doctors are getting better at it and realising some movement is needed!

Cherrypie32 · 04/07/2019 17:48

I’ve just booked my Botox appointment for 2 weeks time. I’m so excited. I don’t have many wrinkles or lines but will have a bit between my eyebrows and want to lift my brows too. My best friends, who I see sporadically as they don’t live near, have it done and just look fresher than me. It never even crossed my mind they’d had work until they told me. I’m 48.

Carrotcakeforbreakfast · 04/07/2019 18:05

It is usually a week for me

I need to book in for a top up as mine has completely gone. Botox done well will make you look well rested not frozen.

blaaake · 04/07/2019 18:19

I've been having it for a while now. Nobody has ever asked me whether I've had it (it isn't obvious) but I did notice people were complimenting me a lot more.

Cherrypie32 · 04/07/2019 18:28

How long did it take to disappear Carrot

lboogy · 04/07/2019 19:56

@YesQueen those eyebrows are perfect.

YesQueen · 04/07/2019 20:04

@lboogy I'm glad as I'm stuck with them Grin

Carrotcakeforbreakfast · 04/07/2019 20:05

I last had it a year ago. With my rubbish rotas at work and finances I've not been back but going back at the end of this month thanks to this thread haha.

It is now fully gone. It lasts quite a while for me, maybe 6 months. Even though it has now fully gone my lines haven't returned to what they were pre-botox.

DragonMamma · 04/07/2019 20:07

What’s the best way to find a reputable Botox dr? I also want my nasolabial lines one, but presume that would be fillers?

I’m so frightened of looking like a mannequin 😐

SuntanC · 04/07/2019 20:13

I noticed a real difference between 7-12 days after having it done. I agree with PP who said it's not always obvious when someone has had it. I think the practitioners are better at doing it now. I really like the effect it's had- hope you do too Smile

MaryBoBary · 04/07/2019 20:16

Please take a pic today OP (if you didn't already do a "before" pic) and then another in a week or 2, id love to see the difference.

ProfessorPlums · 04/07/2019 20:19

I've been saying to dh lately I'd like to look into this, my forehead lines mock me daily and make me sad! Does it hurt at all?

boringbertha · 04/07/2019 20:28

Yes I had my 1st session last Friday so nearly a week for me. Its slow to start with but these laat couple days I'm starting to notice it. Only lightly done this time but I've got a review in a week to see if it's taken ok and to tweak if necessary.

I'm 49 nearly 50 with serious 11 lines between my eyebrows and I'm dearly hoping they will soften and still me looking so grumpy!

My closest family know I've had it done but I'm not telling my friends!!

bobstersmum · 04/07/2019 20:28

I would absolutely love to have some botox, between my brows and a little on forehead. What sort of price is it?
