Meghan’s face isn’t puffy! She’s put weight on because she’s just had a baby; it’s entirely normal. Her face looks the same as it did four weeks ago. She’s put some weight on and I actually think it suits her.

Love Kate in the yellow 💛 nice to see Meghan but meh, her looks are too consistently wrong imo. Louis is very cute, to me he looks like a mix of George and Charlotte - like if you look at the three of them together he just seems like a blend of the two. Definitely not all Middleton to my eye anyway.

Andrew is presumably there to support the Queen in the absence of Prince Phillip. He’s the only without a wife to stand with, maybe that’s why.

Yes, Meghan would have benefited from a bigger hat, more flattering than the little cap style

I think Andrew was so heavily featured because he is the colonel of the grenadier guards and I think this was there year to either troop the colour or take the lead I can't remember the exact terminology.

Think megs looks nicer now! She looked nice before too but her face looks so glowy :) Like Max, some people look beautiful if they change whichever what way, and she’s one of them (Kate too).

Thing with clothes colours is K&M can’t be seen to upstage HM. So not sure what people would have them wear...

Thinking of Kate being cold... this is a long time ago but does anyone remember when HM had a birthday (?) with a bloody huge boating regatta thing on the Thames. A young Kate (maybe newly married) wore a beautiful red dress and heels... but it was a horrid day and absolutely freezing. She stood there smiling for HOURS and must’ve been absolutely freezing! That’s when I thought she’d be a good royal (though ironically I’m not a royalist) as she didn’t let slip how awful the situation must’ve been

Meghan is the spit of her mum today. The extra weight makes her look less harsh.

On the TV coverage, you could see when they came into the balcony, Kate went to go left and William obviously said ‘no, over here’ and she changed direction, so whether he'd remembered where they were meant to stand, or was trying to keep all the small ones apart off his own bat, I’m not sure.

Waving Louis is a deadset scene stealer 😍. Didn't George wear those shorts or similar too?

That was the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Regatta in 2012. The weather was evil and the seating provided for the Queen and Prince Philip on the royal barge were two ridiculous looking red velvet "thrones". Rather than sit on them HM and the DoE stood for literally hours in the cold and rain.

The diamond jubilee when some decided making people stand on boats for hours and having a pop concert was the best way to celebrate was for and 86 and 90 year old!

It was a bleak day for the BBC too. Fern Cotton was given a key commentary role, referring at least once to the Queen as Her Royal Highness. Bloody shambles. I don't think she'll get the job again. Thankfully Huw Edwards is a safe pair of hands.

I remember watching that on tv and thinking how cold it must have been.

For some inexplicable reason my tv stopped recording the Trooping and I'd really like to see the families in their carriages and coming on to the balcony and the fly past. Does anyone know when it is on demand please ?
