Previous thread

What neon shade will HM wear? Will the DoE attend? Will Kate have a new coat dress? Will Meghan make an appearance? And which of us will be able to identify every random Windsor on the balcony?

All will be revealed tomorrow...

I've never noticed how tiny Meghan's ankles are. She's so petite.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 11/06/2019 20:43

Meghan does have very spindly legs. As long as she wears the right length skirt they look alright but in the early days when she was wearing very formal duchessy length dresses they looked like sticks.

EarClipper · 11/06/2019 20:43

In that photo (with the epic looking traybakes. one of each please) Kate and William looked like they've been called to the Principal's office to discuss their child's spirited behaviour Grin

Fucktuates · 11/06/2019 20:44

She’s TINY bit Enid.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 11/06/2019 20:49

K&W: "Really? Uhuh? How interesting!"

  • "brownie, lemon drizzle, flapjack, ooh, can't decide!"
EarClipper · 11/06/2019 20:58

I bet this lady spent a good 6 months planning her bakes, testing them out on the local community (the whole village has gout now), and measuring them so they'd be identical sizes. William had bloody better have scoffed one of each!

I love a traybake. I wonder if DoC ate a cake? Wouldn't it be rude to refuse? Perhaps they asked to take some home for George and Charlotte?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 11/06/2019 21:07

Not only that, @EarClipper but there was the all important teapot selection to consider. Quite a few contenders by the looks of things!

DevonUkelele · 11/06/2019 21:08

I don't mind the skinnies - practical, and go to the work uniform thing she has going on.

I do wonder how many pairs of black skinnies Kate has though 🤔. All stored with her khaki jackets, no doubt.

I hate those boots, especially with the skinnies. They're much too heavy and clunky and look like she's channelling Sid Vicious - and not in a good way.

Agree the Chilvers boots would have been better - I ❤️ those, and look how much wear she has had out of them!

CPV - my eyes! Much preferred the other Swedish P - Sofia?

Laiste · 11/06/2019 21:16

I thought they tended not to eat when out on engagements/in front of cameras. Or is that just the Queen?

It would be awkward to refuse though. Although they probably have to do it a lot - offered weird and wonderful things at official engagements so used to doing it v.politely. Harder when it's a lovely member of joe public who's obviously been slaving over her oven making cake!

The thought of being filmed choking on inhaled cake crumbs or (worse) trying to smile and carry on if it's really vile makes me think i'd plump for the awkward refusal if it were me in front of all those cameras though Grin

EarClipper · 11/06/2019 21:16

Yes, @Myimaginarycathasfleas, the teapot selection probably took 8-10 days. And the jaunty mugs look new and sparkling. There's even a new fangled cafetiere. Grin

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 11/06/2019 21:19

Perhaps Kate is building up her Queen wardrobe to last her the next 40/50years. Similar to how HM & Princess Anne (more Anne) pull out outfits hat were last seen years ago.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 11/06/2019 21:20

one cannot refuse a cake in a situation like this.

pinkground202 · 11/06/2019 21:24

I don't believe the cheating rumours for several reasons, but if he did cheat they both give Oscar worthy performances of being very happily married. How hard would that be? To pretend with the whole world scrutinising your body language. When the DM we're going hell for leather with the innuendo K and W went to Northern Ireland for a few days, look back at the videos of Kate pulling pints in a pub, if that was fake happiness then she rivals Meryl Streep for her acting skills. Even if she had decided to put it all behind her, it would be so hard to maintain the veneer of happiness as consistently as she does.

Laiste · 11/06/2019 21:25

Would one take a small bite or scoff the slice though? Grin

Seriously i'd HATE to have to eat in front of people watching me as closely as they're watched. I'd rather do just about anything else!

RhubarbIsEvil · 11/06/2019 21:26

Did Kate have her cake and eat it?

EarClipper · 11/06/2019 21:27

You have a point. Remember how poor Ed Miliband was haunted by that bloody bacon sandwich!

DevonUkelele · 11/06/2019 21:28

Wait a minute - it's two pairs of brown boots! The Sid Vicious ones in town (Keswick?) and some hiking ones (rather nicer) for meeting folk in the countryside.

(Hope these pix load, as I have been having the same issues that others have)

And two khaki jackets?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 11/06/2019 21:36

Looks like two jackets. I imagine having a back up was essential if she was sheep wrangling.

pastaparadise · 11/06/2019 21:38

Love Kate's jumper - looks so cosy for a day like today. Agree long boots flatter her more.

Reading one of the links, it said the farmers were all saying how awful a no-deal brexit would be for them. I wonder how w&k stay diplomatic in these circumstances? If they agree and sound sympathetic they're on record as against Brexit, but it would be very hard not to say anything in reply.

Daisypie · 11/06/2019 21:43

I loved how she spoke to the little girls.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 11/06/2019 21:45

Not keen on Kate's spray-ons (and I love skinnies). They look sort of explicit if that makes any sense.

I think they suit her but I do sort of see what you mean, @StCharlotte. I'm not sure how much royal bottom I can cope with. I feel I should be looking away out of respectSmile
