bleughhh · 02/06/2019 10:33

Some Reiss for work (not footballer's wives stuff)
Zara
Mango
Essential Antwerp
Marks & Spencer
Jigsaw cashmere
H&M cotton summer stuff

Gap - jeans, shorts

bleughhh · 02/06/2019 10:34

Mabelface · 02/06/2019 10:35

Mainly charity shops

Fantababy · 02/06/2019 10:38

Zara, Oasis, H&M, ASOS.
JL for a special occasion where I need to try hundreds of options in the one place.
(Very nearly 40!)

pickleface · 02/06/2019 11:07

Stradivarius - I love their jeans and plain dresses
Primark
Sainsbury's
Ebay

Handbaghag · 02/06/2019 11:16

Charity shops most of the time. I can't really remember the last time I bought something new. Sainsbury's are great for jeans for pear shapes: I like Tu's range for other stuff too although haven't bought anything from there since a top last August. I like Wallis dresses second hand for work but in-store it's a very mixed bag. I buy Bravissimo bras new off eBay, M&S knix new off eBay and have bought a couple of basic staple M&S tops new off eBay. There are some stockists on there that do loads of brand name stuff. (I don't know if it's off the back of a lorry...)
highstreetoutlet.com is good for Debenhams, white stuff etc at reduced prices.

Almahart · 02/06/2019 12:14

Cos and Toast via eBay

Uniqlo
Monki

Zoflorabore · 02/06/2019 12:14

41 here and love clothes.

This year I'm loving

Matalan
New Look
River Island
Zara
Peacocks

Dd (8) loves Zara, River Island and Forever 21.

DameDoom · 02/06/2019 12:36

Me and Em - I spend too much here and the prices have rocketed
Baukjen - selective though
Cos
Toast
Plumo
Oska
Eileen Fisher
Uniqlo for merino wool
John Lewis - mostly Kin
Jigsaw for the odd coat
Primark for shapewear

I like to think of myself as a capsule wardrobe kind a gal but am completely deluded on that front. My wardrobes are groaning with 'bargains'. I bought a leopard print pony skin coat from Baukjen last week- in the sale bit. It is absolutely beautiful but expensive and no doubt the hairs will rub and go bald in a nanosecond.
Statement coats are my biggest downfall - I always buy in the summer though in a pathetic effort to keep my megaspends down.

hollieberrie · 02/06/2019 13:10

Surprised at the Fat Face love. I really hate it!

HoppityChicken · 02/06/2019 13:32

Hollieberrie - My favourite ever jeans came from Fat Face, I used to buy a pair in my size whenever they had them in. Then they stopped doing them and broke my heart. I have two pairs left that I found on ebay. Other than that I never buy anything from there except men's shirts and bed socks.

teta · 02/06/2019 15:32

Mid 50s here.
Jigsaw
Jaeger
Vionic
Nydj
M&s
Laundryb
Brandalley
Tk maxx
H&m.
Vildnea
Hush on BrandAlley.

Dippypippy1980 · 02/06/2019 15:39

I buy very occasionally in fat face. They do lovely leather bags and purses that are great for weekends.

They also do great winter jumpers.

I wanted a lightweight white hoodie cardigan for over maxi dresses this summer and they are the only place I could find one.

dyouwantfrieswiththat · 02/06/2019 16:02

Fat face at least do some natural fabrics- it wasn't until the lack of these of the high street that I turned to them.

Gwenhwyfar · 02/06/2019 16:10

Zara, Oasis, Warehouse.
Sometimes have a look in shops that are too young for me really e.g. New Look and H&M.
The odd thing from Primark.
Always look in Phase Eight and Hobbs, but those clothes are too expensive for me and quite ageing for someone in their early 40s I think.

DameDoom · 02/06/2019 16:24

At 47, I don't want to come all over 107 so I avoid Fat Face - just the name makes me cringe... and White Stuff. I might be a primary school teacher of a certain age but they aren't carrying me out in a coffin just yet.

Ellapaella · 02/06/2019 17:51

Agree Fatface do some decent shoes and bags. And I always buy my winter pyjamas from there.
